Bills vs Jags from London 1st Half Thread
Livinginthepast replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
I called this last week. I really wanted to be wrong but the Jags have a huge advantage after 10 days+ of acclimatizing. Now we have serious injury to one of our best players. It might have happened in any game but due to the circumstances in this one for the Bills, much more likely. -

Fair catch on KOs in the field of play takes a bit of getting used to. -

It wouldnt be an excuse if the Jags had the same handicap. They dont. -

Geez, the Bills almost look like a team that was forced to travel across the world, endure jet lag and complete upset to their routines all for the sake of gimmicky game. -

A replay right away for that crucial penalty might have been nice! -

Another dumb call on 3rd down. at least show that you might run. -
Kyle Orton: Why doesn't he get a little ex-Bill love?
Livinginthepast replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yup some dbag in the Detroit audience trying to hit him in the eyes! -
Not old enough to see him play. To me he was that funny guy that was part of the Less filling/ Tastes great debate on the Miller Lite ads which dominated the 70s and early 80s!

Kyle Orton: Why doesn't he get a little ex-Bill love?
Livinginthepast replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Orton era was indeed a bizarre time. Never have I seen a guy play professionally who looked so uncommitted or disengaged from the rest of his team or the place he was playing in. It was really weird. We were so desperate for a winner in those days there is no way that Orton wouldn't've have seen that and as a normal human being not wanted to at least do his best to end the drought and win. Yet it was the opposite with Orton, he was a true mercenary or (an even more negative analogy) he was high priced escort. Yup, no feelings involved with that guy, just do what you have to do and take payment and GTFO. The worst thing about Orton is not anything he did but the strange fact that he was completely superior to our #1 draft pick EJ Manuel. The team was actually competitive with him and really should have made the playoffs. A lot of people are citing the Denver slide as the moment they had had enough with him. I held on to the Raider game in December but Orton had a pretty awful game with the season on the line and we were done and dusted after that. -
Bills will be even worse jet lagged than Seattle is on the east coast, The Jags will be acclimatized. Same for everything else that's different about the UK (food, distractions etc). Both teams should be similarly handicapped by these factors but are not which is stupid. I hope none of this will matter in the end and the Bills play the best they can but it might be something that affects their quality of play.

Sorry I should have said that the part of the hit that hurt him was late and out of bounds. The Giant player started the tackle in bounds but was very aggressive with the finish. Id be pissed if I was a Seahawks fan but then again its Geno Smith.

That was late and out of bounds.

Ive been very critical of him for being vanilla combined with some boneheaded calls in the first game but his game calling took a huge leap today! I'm glad to see he has learned and adapted!

Dolphins @ Bills - 2nd half game thread
Livinginthepast replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Looked like foot/ankle problem or Achilles tear. Damn and he has been looking better in the last 2 weeks. -
How does the NFL justify the Jags playing 2 games in a row in the UK and the advantage that gives them? Are the Bills going to start the game 14-0 down too?

FG is good but that should have been a TD. Shakir wont last in this league dropping those. -

Week 4, Bills favored by 3 over Dolphins
Livinginthepast replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just want the Bills to have really done their homework for Sunday. McD has been a bit hit and miss in prepping for big games over his career. Some great planning for games like KC last year and Dallas on thanksgiving a few years ago but laid some real duds like vs the Bengals playoff game and the Colts with Wentz in 2021. If we can do a Bellichick type job planning on the defense against Miami we will slow that high power offense down.
