  1. I don't believe there's a rule in the NFL that prohibits forfeiting a game. Albeit there is a negative connotation to "forfeit" but I look at it like in Revenge of the Nerds where the nerds just let go of the rope and the jocks won the tug-of-war contest. On Saturday, we issue a statement that due to injury we will be conceding a win in favor of the Pats. You might say "Absolutely not!!" but there's a few reasons to do so: 1) Will we really win this game? I'm putting our chance of success at 20% 2) Injuries are racking up: Singletary, Horrible Harry, CB's, Nsekhe, even Gore's cleats need a rebuild. 3) We need to keep our specialized offensive schemes under wraps for the late season game vs. the Pats. Let's limit the film that we give them now in favor of a more unique offensive scheme later on when the game really counts. I'd be in favor of going 1 and 1 vs the Pats this season, how about you? 4) By forfeiting this week, we get ) yds passing allowed and 0 yds rushing allowed averaged into our defensive ranking...that would put us at #2 or #3...I'll take that... 5) Fans can still show up to the game on Sunday, tailgate, go in the stadium and watch the Pats warm up, but it will be a relaxing environment...no stress. We're 3-1. Just spit ballin' here but it makes sense to me to preserve our defensive ranking, our winning record and get healthier for our next four games.
  2. My picks were wayyyy off.
  3. Latrell Jackson (Ravens) was 22/44 today for 240 yds. Am I missing something?
  4. Good luck... and thank you for your service.
  5. I wonder if he stole the baseball cap off a little, disabled 8 year old kid's head? Sad
  6. Robert Klemko (@RobertKlemko) Tweeted: A man who sounded like AB answered. I introduced myself. He hung up. In a text, I asked him if he would share proof of his claim that the woman asked him for money. He replied “foh clown” So we’re extremely confident that’s AB who sent the text messages. ”Foh clown”? Can someone interpret?
  7. Of course Josh Allen was placed in an inept offensive squad last year (o line with one returning, Charles Clay, unknown WR’s and McCoy who stunk). Yet no one felt bad for him. He made the most of it. I look at this as an “expert” trying to salvage the last bit of credibility who donned Rosen “most NFL ready”. Sorry Louis, can’t backtrack now. Rosen should have used his “NFL ready” athleticism to carry the offense like the “wrong Josh” did.
  8. Selfishness is all a part of the “Me generation”. Poor little guy. I hope those parents catch the same nasty virus and think twice about ever doing it again.
  9. I recall an instance where a certain person not only tried to pass those wings off on adults but even his own flesh and blood (a minor). Parenting remains a mystery these days with this type of behavior and others who leave sick children at home to go out partying. I hate when people do that as well.
  10. @Gugny makes a very nice sauce. Smokey with a ghost pepper kick.
  11. You fail to see how the coach and GM have approached this season. Every game is a season unto itself. Week by week. The OP says he agrees with that approach (unlike so many “analysts” who keep saying the Bills will be tested by NE. Hogwash. Every week is a test. You might want to consider that in your speedy (and snarky) responses. But you’re a super intelligent football mind so I best back off.
  12. Yep. I’ve heard them say they’re 0-0. After beating the Giants they said they were 1-0. But each week they start preparing for their next opponent, they see it as a new season. So they are 0-0 again heading into Bengals game. That’s a great outlook to have.
  13. 1) Despite what Schopp says, “football character” matters...i.e. drafting and signing players that WANT to play ball rather than just cash in on endorsements and self-promotion (Brown, Jalen Ramsey, etc) 2) When you build a team with your own draft picks and interviews, you know the members of the team will run through a wall for each other - rather than bellyaching about record, coaches etc. 3) Dolphins are cleaning house in an abrupt manner. Building with their own draft picks but it looks like a TANK. Beane did it the right way...gradual elimination of problem children but remain competitive. Love these guys.
  14. McDermott and Beaner would say “No”. Shawn and Brandon have a tradition: After 1pm home games, they hit Denny’s before 5pm for the early bird special and then go hiking at Chestnut Ridge Park. There’s no way they’ll let the NFL interrupt that process. Plus, Brady needs to check out of the Motel 6 at 11am sharp. What would he do for 3-4 hours??
  15. Let me guess. Your name is Justin Phillips?
  16. Yeah. He should come to Buffalo because he always played as Buffalo on PlayStation when he was 13 yrs old.
  17. Possible offensive rookie of year candidate but I’d say Josh Jacobs and Hollywood Brown May edge him out.
  18. The Cardinals being the “worst” team in the NFL may have something to do with who their starting QB was last year. Compare the O line, WR’s and TE’s for the Cards and Bills last year and you’ll see many similarities (in fact, the Cards have more returning players on offense than the Bills). Maybe, just maybe, your empathy is misplaced as Josh Allen had an equally bad offense but played the hand he was dealt. Rosen? I think he wanted a stacked deck and didn’t know how to succeed on his own. #mostNFLready
  19. Hey. Here’s an idea. If you want to post YouTube videos (that we can all research at our leisure) why not create ONE thread and keep putting your favorite YouTube videos in that one repository for the “The Glory Days”. Just an idea.
  20. Ok. You’ve posted Thurman and Tasker highlights, Bruce Smith highlights and other easily accessible YouTube videos that have been in public domain for 10 years. Can you contribute something new (maybe within the last 5 years)?? Otherwise, find me some Lou Piccone video footage or an article about how the Original Pizza Log came to fruition.
  21. THIS Don’t mess with what’s working...on the field and, more importantly, in locker room.
  22. Of course he has a chance. Did you see what WR’s, TE and O line Josh Allen played with last year? LOL. He needs to step up and put his big boy pants on. No feeling sorry for this guy. Remember: He’s “the most NFL ready”.
  23. Oh. Sorry Mrs. Rosen. Your hair looks particularly nice today.
  24. And Pat Schurmer looks like a bigger goofball after that response. Well done JA!!
