I don't understand the knee and thigh pad thing. When I heard equiptment change I thought concussion helmet. Especially given the climate of the league currently. I think it is a waste of time to talk about knee pads at the owners meeting. It's as if the current state of affairs in the nfl doesn't exist

Yup because every highschool has 3 stock car racing teams. And kids go to the park and race Toyota Camry's. These aren't similar. Would you let you 14 year old jump in a car with a restricter plate that tops it off at 150 and in the passenger seat is a guy holding his leg to the floor. It's ok there is a cage. I am also a really Aerbobic athlete so soccer running and other fitness sports are my interest. I assume my kids will eventually be similar.

Go to wrestling head gear. Eliminate the shoulder pads. Substitute something like the under armor you wear under hockey pads. Watch the injuries dissipate. I agree it may not be in my generation but my great grand kids most likely won't see the nfl. It will be sad but it is the reality of the situation

They also tried ardently to get out of their pick in the 3rd and find another one, or get their 4th back, but couldn't, they where running out of time. Mularky mention he really got his start in the league and made a career at being a special teams coach. It is something he won't put by the wayside, and is making it his point to make the special teams in JAX one of the premier units in the league. It is because of the 14 Thursday night games. Sunday ticket is Sunday ges only. No prime time. When I lived out of town I didnt have nfl network an still couldn't see the games. I was furious. Sunday loses 14 games now.

I think that eventually kickers will start to adapt and it becomes more dangerous. Kickers learn to boot the ball 10 yards higher and 5 yards shorter. Basically rendering the returner a sitting duck.

Non athlete students all over the country graduate hs and college without being able to read. It is the nature of the American scholastic system to push everybody through. It is sad but not lsu or athlete specific

they cant afford to sign him to the contract he wants. is it better to play with brees this year with an interim hc, half a gm, and a suspended assistant hc. this is assuming that brees wants to stay with the organization. i would be willing to bet he does not want to stay given the issues, finding a new hc, and new gm. whats your solution?

if i where the saints i would shop around brees. they don't have the money to exited/resign him anyways, hence the tag. you could grab at least 3 firsts and a 2nd, if the market sets carson palmer at 2 firsts and change, then brees is worth at least 3 and change. i find a new gm. let that gm find a new hc. new orleans is an attractive destination with 2 first round picks for the next 3 years. of course wait until next offseason to see what is available, no reason to be hasty. take this year and take your lumps. you can easily rebuild with that many picks. in fact if i am buffalo i would send 3 firsts there way and help the process

buddy is generally pretty straight forward about what he does with the draft. i hate reading about smoke screens. they don't exist at least not with the regime. we have all known the pick before the draft the last 2 years. with that, i have no idea who will be available at 10 and i am not sure i like much of anybody at that spot. the front office has been quite thus far. who knows. i do know they will not trade up. i bet tannehill to the browns weeded to the fins
