I like Spiller a lot, but he has to be much more consistent. He fumble balls at crucial moments. Imagine if he doesn't pick that ball up last year in the endzone vs the Pats. Not the greatest route runner. With decent hands. He gets stopped at the line 3 out of 4 times, then breaks 1 for 20 yards here and there. His average turns out to be padded because of it. I think he did a lot of great things for us yesterday, but when it is 27-7 at the half, some of those rushing yards are inflated with a softer defense. We are fine with Spiller at the helm if we need him, he is nowhere near elite or game changing at this point in his career.

we should be ok. spiller is a drive killer at times. gaining 0 3 runs in a row then bouncing one for 20. hopefully he can put it together for a few weeks

WOW! 3 of those could be brought up in conversation for some of the top 5 of all time, if not better. Where does old Jimbo fall on that list of current QB's

He's done nothing but misfire since. The fact that we are dominating field position and not getting ANY field goals and 1 TD is on the offense.

I don't understand the knee and thigh pad thing. When I heard equiptment change I thought concussion helmet. Especially given the climate of the league currently. I think it is a waste of time to talk about knee pads at the owners meeting. It's as if the current state of affairs in the nfl doesn't exist

Yup because every highschool has 3 stock car racing teams. And kids go to the park and race Toyota Camry's. These aren't similar. Would you let you 14 year old jump in a car with a restricter plate that tops it off at 150 and in the passenger seat is a guy holding his leg to the floor. It's ok there is a cage. Go to wrestling head gear. Eliminate the shoulder pads. Substitute something like the under armor you wear under hockey pads. Watch the injuries dissipate. I agree it may not be in my generation but my great grand kids most likely won't see the nfl. It will be sad but it is the reality of the situation

They had traded away their 4th earlier, and weren't sure if he would still be there by the time they picked in the 5th. So voila, you have the pick. They also tried ardently to get out of their pick in the 3rd and find another one, or get their 4th back, but couldn't, they where running out of time. Mularky mention he really got his start in the league and made a career at being a special teams coach. It is something he won't put by the wayside, and is making it his point to make the special teams in JAX one of the premier units in the league. It is because of the 14 Thursday night games. Sunday ticket is Sunday ges only. No prime time. When I lived out of town I didnt have nfl network an still couldn't see the games. I was furious. Sunday loses 14 games now.

I think that eventually kickers will start to adapt and it becomes more dangerous. Kickers learn to boot the ball 10 yards higher and 5 yards shorter. Basically rendering the returner a sitting duck.
