Great list! But I have to speak up for one of my all time favorite unsung Bills heroes. Wasn't it Bill Simpson, who was literally signed out of the stands to replace an injured Jeff Nixon the previous season, that saved the game vs Jets? I think he had 2 pics on the day... Still angry about JoJo. Worst basketball call ever!

The Super Bowl runs of the 90's were what I THOUGHT I had spent the early decades of my life waiting for while cheering the Bills through some tough years and then some almost glory years. I started watching in the mid late 60's and the Bills became hard wired into my DNA by 1972 when Saban came back to town. With the "new stadium" 1.0 in 1973 and OJ's 2003 yard oddysey, I believed being a Bills fan was living the good life. And then of course, it wasn't any more, but still loved me some Bills. The Chuck Knox years were some of my favorite, maybe still my favorite years. By the time the 90's Super Bowl runs started, I was on into my 30's and the guys I had season tickets with had been joking for years that we would probably have to rattle the sides of our wheelchairs by the time we ever got to see The Bills play in a Super Bowl. And then it happened... habitually? Those years were great. We thought it was our moment. And it wasn't to be, but I was long hooked by then. The drought never pushed me away. And it couldn't have even if it was still a thing. So now here comes this kind of shocking wave of success in recent years. It kind of feels like playing with house money. 4 years into the Allen era, I would say this is likely the most entertaining, fun and likable team of all. My house really is now full of wheelchairs, lol. Hoping me and my old season ticket buddies were visionaries. I want to rattle that wheelchair THIS year and then a few more times just because. We all deserve a few bonus rounds.

So if I understand, you are saying that a secondary that boasts the best Safety tandem in the league with 1st team All Pro FS, and a perennial All Pro and Pro Bowl corner scheduled to return about opening day is second rate? I'm betting that there are more than a few so called "1st rate secondaries" that would trade places with that personnel in a heartbeat. Yes, as of March 27, one month before the draft, we do need a complimentary corner and some depth, but calling this secondary 2nd rate is pure hyperbolic panic.

Exactly this. This week has been so exhilarating, something feels kind of off. So this morning, driving past that neighbor who is out working on his lawn, you know the one that always has the most beautiful lawn on the block and makes me feel lazy and not special at all... When my brain crossed the creamsicles with the red helmets, the name that immediately flashed was Eugene Marve (RIP). And I still don't really know why. I know that he left Buffalo to play for the Bucs, but it seems like there was more. Maybe it was just the bad trip like nature of the creamsicles and the red helmets occupying one singular thought...

There must be something magical about years ending in "0". My three favorite Buffalo Bills seasons are 1980, 1990 and 2020. There will almost be some extra juice in my memories of that 1980 season, probably a great deal to do with where I was at in my life at that time. Thanks for great reminder of great memories! Oh yeah... Love to see the pattern change and have something special in 2022 to break this "0" year pattern! Go Bills!
