  1. Wow!!!! Well I've changed my mind! It worked once before! Out of 1000 times.
  2. Another example of the joke that the Rooney rule is. But let's all pretend it's great for America, or something.
  3. They don't know anything. They just want to blame and point and hurt and put people down. It's how they feel a sense of power in their powerless lives. McDermott has been a Godsend for this team and this city. Something went wrong at the end of the game. My instinct is that Levi Wallace was the one who screwed up on the Kelce play. McDermott and Frazier also likely share blame here, but they also didn't want to throw anyone under the bus. McDermott has improved at everything his entire career and preaches it to every member of the organization. He is possibly one of the greatest "culture" coaches in NFL history. I believe those intangibles are "over the head" of the many, many low-information posters on this board. Ironically, these posters are promoting a culture of "blame" and "frustration" and want to see "consequences". This is exactly the mindset that leads to losing. What you want to see instead is "growth" and "improvement". That's why McDermott is 1000x the man these posters are.
  4. This is a question? We got our guy. He's going to be even better next year.
  5. Is there a reason fans are against Shurmur? Are they very familiar with his offensive philosophy or Xs and Os? Serious question, but I think I already know the answer. Most ex-HCs were excellent coordinators once upon a time. If Beane and McDermott like him I'll side with them, and not the board where 80% of you were furious we didn't draft Rosen. I'm sure everyone is so much better informed since then.
  6. Refs let both teams play throughout most of the playoffs. Brady has no chance without the calls going his way.
  7. His style will change with Daboll gone and improvements in our O-line and RB game, which will be Beane priorities moving forward. That's when we finally win a SB. We'll look back on these years as miraculous that we did as well as we did with what Josh had.
  8. Haha I only know it because Bill Simmons always used it for his all-time NBA player list.
  9. I think Buffalonians don't know what's out there. They just settle for average. Adding to this: The only people I know that are into those "side dishes" as you call them, are not sports fans. They weren't sports fans growing up and have only become "sports fans" for social reasons, such as fantasy and gambling as you mentioned. You might have hit the nail on the head. He doesn't actually love sports. How else could you have a dream job where all you do all day is talk sports, and you're so miserable? You'd be miserable if you hated sports, and you hated the city.
  10. I think people are just nervous to put a Bills player in an all-time pantheon. After Palmer called Allen "perhaps the greatest talent at the QB position ever" Schopp jumped in and said it was an "interesting claim" in his classic condescending tone. It's almost like they don't want it to be true, so they can lay in their misery undisturbed.
  11. I've seen the same. To cope on Monday I went to other team's forums and read their game threads. People were BLOWN AWAY by Allen. The moment the NFL world decided this was one of the greatest games ever was not 13 seconds, but the 4th TD to Davis. That's when everybody's head exploded and Josh became a living legend and one of the top 2 QBs in the game. The other narrative is "I feel terrible for Bills fans" which is much better than the mockery and scorn during the drought.
  12. I think that Crytpo contest commercial should be the prototype for future Allen ad campaigns. Regular, humble, goofy guy who happens to effortlessly launch a ball 80 yards. It's charming and the country will like it a lot more than those awful West Herr "smile and hold a football" commercials.
  13. If you're familiar with the concept of anti-fragile, it means people or things that get better the more pain or adversity you put them in. They are literally the opposite of fragile. Adversity makes them stronger. That's Allen since day one. God help the rest of the NFL next season. We may be looking at an all-time great year.
  14. Good point. That's an area of improvement for Allen then. Let's get the #1 seed and an MVP.
  15. I'm sure his amazing gut instinct predicted the Bills success the last 5 years too.
  16. It might seem insane to say in January 2022, but it may have been a long-term blessing in disguise. If we would have won the SB this year, we may have rested on our laurels. NOW? Allen's about to go crazy in the off-season again. Coming off a legendary performance. He could make another step as QB, perhaps a higher level than what anyone has seen before. And Beane and McDermott are about to take serious looks in the mirror and realize they also need to level up. This loss may have meant the difference between one and done SB, and future dynasty.
  17. Shaw, if Kelce loses a step, how much do you think it would affect Mahomes? Do you think he could maintain his level of play with a good TE, instead of a great TE? Or do you think Reid will adjust the scheme significantly?
  18. You see it.
  19. On Sunday, Allen tapped into "flow" for the first time. "Flow" is a secret of top athletes to reach peak performance. Ever see the video of Kobe ignoring Chris Rock during a playoff game? He was in a flow. Curry, Jordan, etc. It's a real psychological state. Watch Allen's eyes on the sideline after the Diggs 2-point conversion. He was in a trance. Allen needs to work on reaching that flow level on a more consistent basis. If he does that, he's beyond MVP level, he's HOF level. He'll become the guy that the country fell in love with on Sunday, but on a regular basis. When you're zoned in, all of your mechanics sort of fix themselves subconsciously. You see the entire field. You're not thinking, and you're definitely not thinking of anything negative. If he can reach that state at will, the "GOAT" comments won't be tongue in cheek anymore.
  20. It's Allen and it's not even close. Mahomes is great but he's been babied his entire career. By this time next year everyone will finally see it. This year is the last time Mahomes will be considered the better QB, or even an equal.
  21. Life is circular. All your opportunities will eventually come around. Eastern wisdom.
  22. Because your family wasn't mobbed up, the city of Buffalo is totally kosher? That's your logic? Alright bud. Don't want to wake you up from your dream.
  23. It'll be dead downtown all year except for Bills games. Will slowly destroy Bills Mafia if there's no tailgating. You want to revitalize Buffalo? Kick the mob out of town. The only people who will benefit are contractors. And guess who those guys are?
  24. Some people in Buffalo do like it. It appeals to their need to blame others for failure. They LOVE Sullivan for that. But it's very low vibration and begets more failure. It does not make anybody better, and that was obvious during the drought. It's just kicking a dead horse to get a dopamine hit. Successful people recognize where they need to improve, and then work in the offseason to improve it. Did you choke in a big moment? Maybe a sports psychologist is in order to calm you down during intense moments. Lots of people learn deep breathing. DE couldn't sack Mahomes despite pressure? Maybe need to find more athleticism at that position or put someone slippery at QB like McKenzie or Diggs and practice tackling them. Or sign some CBs better at jamming at the line. Find the solution and implement. Allen knows all about that mentality. In other words, acceptance you need to improve, and then put it into action. All this vitriol is for losers. Literally....losers. People who never improve their lot in life and never get better or wiser. Someone like Jerry Sullivan.
  25. Agree with everything except the KC part. I don't see why the Chiefs wouldn't be better with Allen. Allen doesn't have Kelce or Hill to make all those YAC.
