  1. It would be nice if McD and Frazier come up with an aggressive defensive plan to put pressure on Brady, which is their only chance of getting to him. We may still get beat, but we'd at least look respectable by hurrying and sacking Brady. Sit back and play cover their receiver zones will get picked apart badly.
  2. 40-60% on both. My thought at this time is 50%; still a little early but games like yesterday, as well as week 1 and 2 are not promising.
  3. If Glenn wanted to be here, I doubt McD would trade one of the better LT's in the league, even with a big contract. I got the feeling that Glenn pretty much milked his foot/toe/ankle injuries to the point of frustrating McD, though I don't have proof of that; just a hunch. If the player doesn't want to be here, he is not going to give 100%; that's human nature and there is nothing that a coach can do about that other than get rid of him. Same thing happened with Dareus (not wanting to be here).
  4. The problem with Glenn is that once he got his pay day, he mailed it in. In other words, he didn't want to be in Buffalo.
  5. Woods wasn't that bad when he was here, at least he got open and caught the ball. Goodwin hardly played, so yeah, he wasn't worth much. I'd like Whaley's Pro Personnel department back.
  6. I'm certain that if Peterman had been drafted by Rex, he would have already been gone. Since he was drafted by McD himself, Peterman has had a long rope. But one does have to wonder how close that rope is to Peterman being able to hang himself.
  7. The OPs third point about signing a vet when AJM was traded is a good one; that should have been done in pre-season. I agree that it probably would not have changed much since none of the guys available were any good. The only game that may have had a different outcome was the last one vs Houston, so we'd be 3-3 now. I'm leaning toward the Baltimore and Chargers games not changing since those were whole team loses, including the coaching staff not being prepared. So Anderson starts this week. Will that make a difference and guarantee a win vs Indy? Who knows. Anderson hasn't played in two years, I believe, and wasn't an elite QB by any means when he was actively playing. At the very least, we won't have to see 4-5 picks thrown by Peterman. This QB decision, IMO, just keeps McD from losing the locker room.
  8. I used to watch that show religiously. It was one of those shows where either you hated it because it was so stupid, or loved it. I thought it was hilarious; I also saw the move "Beavis and Butthead Do America"
  9. I'm not confident of the players they're going to bring in on offense since they've made some poor decisions on that side of the ball this past off-season. Your point of desperate, counter productive deals is taken; it can't be over looked. But...they know they'll need to bring in a lot of new players (more than they can draft) and they'll probably need to over pay for a number of FAs, so it is reasonable to think that the extra cap space going into 2019 will have to be used on FA player premiums.
  10. Why can't our forwards score a goal?
  11. P.S. Mother -- Besides not having a captain, the Bison Men Generals appear to be confused when on attack. When defending their fortifications, the Williams from Buffalo are tenacious. We expect heavy losses when we attack, though when we have to defend our fortifications, victory can be obtained. -- Andrew
  12. Then WHY wasn't it dumbed down for Josh Allen? That was the crux of my initial post, which you didn't seem to get.
  13. If Daboll was a real OC, why wasn't the playbook dumbed down for a green as grass rookie, but the expectations are for it to be dumbed down for a vet QB? Even with a week as a Bill, Anderson should be able to pick up the playbook a lot quicker than a rookie who, to make things worse, didn't get to work with the first team as a penciled in starter would in TC.
  14. This is what I was going to say. Colts 6 Bills 3 (it's about a 50 yarder, too)
  15. And right to being the backup behind Carr, with Chucky as coach. Not a better situation to be in.
  16. I was somewhat kidding in my post, but yeah, guys like Kyle and Lorax probably will not quit, as well as Edmunds (I'd assume) since he is focused on learning the MLB position. But I can see some guys lose heart - Hughes comes to mind. Sucks for the defense, though, when you know the offense cannot pull their weight.
  17. If no Matt Moore, what about Ryan Mallet? I know we're scraping the bottom of the barrel at this point, but he looks to be available.
  18. I doubt it because it's only a matter of time before they give up and quit trying, knowing their effort is futile. Games like vs Houston and GB have to be disheartening.
  19. Funny, I was just thinking about this. Would you trust this group with more money to spend on FAs given their track record thus far? Assuming Daboll will still be around in the off-season. I *want* to be optimistic, but I'm very leery about their prospects of fixing the offense. If you can't make due with a thin budget, why would you do better with a large budget?
  20. If only they had the offensive minds to fix this, which the Bills do not.
  21. A hot dog is NOT a sandwich and it is perfectly fine to have ranch on wings, in fact, it is preferable.
  22. Interesting. So Daboll wasn't going to cut it with BB. And to think we were all proud that we stole Daboll from NE, where he was just going to be an assistant with no scheming or play calling duties.
  23. Astute observation. Allen was shaking his right arm in the Green Bay game, if I recall correctly. You could be right on with this. The Bills have done such a remarkably poor job managing the QB situation this year, there should be a "how not to" manual written about it with them as Case 'A'.
  24. Kyle Shanahan has a clue on how to coach an offense, off the top of my head.
