  1. That's what I was thinking. Tre could have lit Brady up
  2. nice. Exactly what we needed
  3. Definitely a bright future at LB with Milano and Edmunds
  4. A flag on the Patriots? How did that happen
  5. yep, not enough hang time. Missed the opportunity to pin them back inside the 5
  6. What has gotten in to Daboll? I like it, though
  7. Ah, I see what you meant. Gotcha.
  8. I don't have a problem with his post...he's right. McD and his staff need to be called out for the historically bad offense. I understand we have a rookie QB with a high ceiling who is learning, but the offense shouldn't be quite this bad. And I'm not one of those calling for McD and Beane to be fired, but they need to make some adjustments.
  9. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/relationship-between-ben-roethlisberger-todd-haley-showing-signs-of-friction-again/ Big Ben and Haley didn't always get along, there were points last season where they wouldn't even speak to one another. Haley seems like a difficult person to get along with, so it probably just isn't the Browns. http://www.post-gazette.com/sports/steelers/2018/02/05/Le-Veon-Bell-Todd-Haley-Ben-Roethlisberger-steelers-super-bowl/stories/201802050097 "The more we learn about Haley’s relationship with Roethlisberger, though, the more irreconcilable it seemed. "
  10. Agree, at least not before the 2020 season. Right now McD seems to have a long rope, it's up to him if he hangs himself in a couple of years.
  11. Maybe if I was in prison, but otherwise...No.
  12. Aside from a Brady career ending injury, it is hard to see anything good coming from this game.
  13. I remember your o-line the year Scarpaccia was retired (3 years ago?) where Brady got hit a lot; the o-line coach got promptly fired right after the season ended. Wonder what BB paid Scar to come out of retirement. Amazing what a difference a good o-line coach makes. Not sure Reche Caldwell was ever a true NFL receiver. I remember a game where Brady's pass hit Caldwell right in the numbers and bounced off him. Caldwell's eyes were as big as dinner plates; it was noticeable on tv. This was probably 2006 or so, since Randy Moss came in the next year 2007; Brady made a comment about Moss "he's not a distraction and he catches the ball." Caldwell obviously wasn't with NE at that point, and was on another team (I forget which) but didn't do anything notable.
  14. That's what I was thinking. Some out there just don't see Daboll's genius ?
  15. As a Bills fan, I honestly hope you get neither. I want there to be less weapons for Brady. Also, an O-line composed of second stringers would be good, too.
  16. quite possibly so. There were never teachers this hot when I was in middle and high school.
  17. Right. It's not easy for sure, but Denver, Baltimore, and the NYG (twice) have done it. It's possible, but not a cake walk by any stretch.
  18. I don't know if that's necessarily true. If the DTs stay in their lanes that should be covered, at least inside the tackles. The combination of OLBs and DEs should be able to cover the outside runs, though we have been vulnerable to this as of late.
  19. It's too hard to cover everyone; sitting back in a zone is a sure method to get picked apart. The blueprint to beating Brady is to scheme your front four, and occasionally a fifth, so they get pressure up the middle on him. McD and Frazier are going to have to get creative; something they haven't done when facing better QBs (Flacco, Rivers, Rodgers, Luck).
  20. Well, yeah, there's some of that. Edmunds is a 20 year old rookie MLB who is still learning and does get beat by experienced QBs as well as being out of position in some situations. But he'll be fine, I'm not too worried about Edmunds as he does appear to be getting better with each game.
  21. I usually still watch the games; somehow I can't quit, the Bills are part of me...always have been, and as painful as they are now. Maybe I should get a less painful hobby, like pulling my fingernails out.
  22. 27-16 Pats. I think they're getting tired of being embarrassed on a national stage.
  23. It's not necessarily the losses that are disturbing as it is the one-sided drubbings where the defense was out schemed such as by the Colts, Ravens, and Chargers. That wasn't supposed to happen and indicates that the defensive coaching staff is unprepared. Allen is a rookie and the offense is devoid of talent, so while frustrating, isn't too surprising. I was just hoping that the losses would be a little more competitive, aside from the Texan game where we were Petermaned.
