  1. Probably better than what we have now, but the last good OC we had was Anthony Lynn
  2. He should be, but that would mean McD admits a second failure in selecting his staff
  3. I was just answering a question about if Watson was playing based on a tweet I saw in another thread. The league source probably came from the Texans...who else would know this? As far as point spread and dominating wins, Houston has done nothing to deserve being considered an overwhelming favorite to win. They're a so-so team even with two great DE's, a very good WR (that Tre should shut down), and possibly a budding QB - that's it. The Bills are held in low esteem by the national media, which is why they're typically picked to lose. Wasn't arguing any of this other stuff. But whatever.
  4. Over on the Week 6 Texans Preparation thread, 26CB posted a twitter link that said according to league sources, Watson will play despite missing most of this weeks practice, as well as having soreness in his chest. But he's still listed as Questionable on the Texan's injury list.
  5. Thanks for pointing this out, and I agree BB knows both. For someone who started as Parcell's DC in NYG, BB has done an amazing job with NE's offense while still fielding a very good to good enough defense. In addition, BB has the "finish them off" mentality where he will not let up until all the time on the clock has expired. McDermott needs to follow this philosophy since it is proven to win championships, rather than play conservative, even with a large lead. McDermott is light years behind BB as a coach since McD knows little about offense and can't even get an OC and position coach hire right. It pains me to say this, but as of week 6, this is the case.
  6. Rams are the only lock with what you have to work with.
  7. Cardinals are pretty bad. Vikings over Cards should be safe
  8. If the Giants would have taken an QB, we may not have got Allen and possibly not Rosen.
  9. The Giants and Gettlemen, specifically, were all in with Eli in the offseason. The plan was to surround Eli with talent, so they drafted Barkley and signed Soldier. Maybe the problem is Shurmer, where there was concerns that he would not be successful on his own.
  10. Clement seems to be doing pretty well. Not sure why the Eagles would want to pony up a lot of draft capital for Shady or Le'Veon Bell.
  11. Is Marlowe really worse than Rafael Bush? But maybe I'm just noticing the big drop-off from Micah Hyde.
  12. Shady is a player selected team captain. If I was Beane and McD, I'd be worried about what type of message that sends to the team who voted him captain. If McCoy was not a captain and if we can get a 2nd and 3rd round pick, I'd do it.
  13. Rex was probably a no-show. He doesn't strike me as dependable; kind of like the guy who is fun to go out drinking with, but don't count on when you need something important done. I'm surprised the NFL is even somewhat paid attention to over there in England. Would have thought mostly soccer and rugby.
  14. Sounds like that's where Rob should stay. Everyone's good at something, and it ain't coaching D for fat Rob. Beside, he might lose some weight over there when all there is to eat is fish and chips; no chicken wings, no pizza, no barrels of lard.
  15. So you're saying this wasn't a total disaster offensively?
  16. Rachel Bush sounds like a diva. Kind of don't blame Poyer.
  17. Does this mean the Chargers will move back to SD? They probably should as they don't have the following in LA that the Rams do.
  18. It was a sloppy game, at least offensively. But, as stated by the OP, the offense came through when it counted in the fourth quarter and drove down for a game winning FG...which is outstanding...for this team. Hopefully the Titans game gives the offense momentum to build off of. The Texans game is another winnable one.
  19. Offensive Identity....I'm all for finding one. The only problem with the shorter patterns is that other teams are putting a lot of guys within 15 yards of LOS. The deeper routes are being left open, and the offense is going to have to exploit those.
  20. With a spy, as well as crowding the box, like what GB did. Other teams will catch on. They're already leaving the long routes open daring the Bills to throw it deep to beat them. Specifically planning for Allen runs is a recipe for disaster.
  21. I agree that Allen has the physical ability to run, but why take the chance is my point. Remember, you have Nate Peterman if Allen is on the injury report. That right there should be all you need to know.
  22. You don't want your QB to take the hits, regardless if he has the size. That is how injuries, and concussion protocol, happen.
  23. Still plenty of time. Maybe the offense actually moves the ball down field and scores? One can hope.
  24. Is was right at his face mask. Holmes needs to make that catch.
