  1. They were absolutely robbed in the playoffs four years ago against the Cowboys. Yes they were and then the NFL paid the Cowboys back with interest the following week in Green Bay with the non catch by Dez Bryant which was a catch.
  2. Not really in my eyes. The Lions have had some success this century and made the playoffs a couple of times, but also went 0-16 one year. I think their high points have been better and their low points lower than the Bills since 2000. I think they made a mistake dumping Caldwell last year and going for Patricia, but time will tell.
  3. Wasn't Bruce in a commercial for potato chips with the mailman from Cheers? And what about the "Bad Things Man" with a wigged-out Dennis Hopper?
  4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rQ67QmlGJI Excellent link. As he becomes more mentally comfortable and the game continues to slow down for him, hopefully we'll see a reduction in these mechanical issues. I'll be watching for that over these next 4 games. How much of that was him not being properly coached before his pre draft sessions with Jordan Palmer and how much of it is an over-reliance on his arm strength.
  5. I thought even in a loss the miami game was the best game by any of the 4 QB's so far this season. Then you didn't see Baker Mayfield destroy Cicny the week before. Allen is showing signs, but right now Mayfield is the more polished QB. And so you don't think I'm a Mayfield fanboy, the Texans D made him look as bad as Allen did when they met last week. PS I'm assuming you're talkiing about the 4 QBs drafted this year, not the 4 QBs the Bills have started, because I think it's safe to say Peterman was not a QB.
  6. Gotta win a few more games and establish yourself more in the locker room. Good leaders lead by example and earn it through respect. He's not there yet, but he's off to a good start.
  7. I'd be OK with that. We won a playoff game against them when they had that design, and that was also the helmet for the '88 game when we clinched the division title. I call that the redemption game for Smerlas.
  8. Jets are going to be changing their unis after this season anyway. They've had 20 years of this current look which is based on their original design from the 60s, but with a darker green.
  9. Even the ESPN MNF pregame show gave Clay a "C'mon Man" for missing that catch. Can;t throw Allen under the bus for that. And I'm not an apologist, I wanted Rosen back in April, but now I'm starting to think we mad a good choice. I'd like to see a breakdown not of the penalties, but who is getting flagged the most on the team. Odds are a lot of those calls are going against 1st or 2nd year players. That's on coaching to stop it.
  10. I want to see how he looks when opposing defenses start figuring out a way to keep him in the pocket. I'm worried that our annual loss at Foxboro will give other teams a possible blueprint if the Patriots figure out a way to take that away.
  11. I ask because after Charles Clay dropped (yes he dropped it) the pass at the goal line, Kiko Alonzo removes his helmet and starts celebrating. Watch the replays and you'll see it. I thought that was a 15 yard penalty. Granted this crap officiating crew wouldn't have the stones to make that call against the home team but that's being discussed in other topics.
  12. How about an obvious false start on San Diego last night against Pittsburgh that allowed a TD throw that should have never happened? Hard to swallow when you lose by 3... Take a close look at the punt return San Diego/Los Angeles had last night. They missed an illegal block in the back on that one as well.
  13. As a fan you don't want to hear "Good teams get those calls" or certain players getting calls because of their elite status. That's BS and if you want your game to be viewed with integrity, you call it fair regardless of what team is playing. It just doesn't happen that way and as a fan I'm tired of it and I've been watching football since Nixon was president.
  14. Shhhhhhhhhhhh......he's supposed to be the biggest draft bust ever according to some other posters here. This kind of thread will get you trolled! :):):)
  15. Just watched A Football Life on NFL Network about Mike Holmgren. He said that in the Superbowl where he was coaching Seattle against Pittsburgh, he made a comment to one of the officials along the lines of "I hope this game isn't too big for you." He said he regrets making the comment and all you have to do is look at some of the highly questionable calls that went against Seattle. So don't think for a second that these a**ss clowns don't remember what's said and by who. I don't doubt at all that Guns Hoculi said something to Cam Newton a few seasons ago. You can tell by how Cam reacted that something inappropriate was said. But after Newton called Guns Hoculi out on it he never got another roughing the passer call that year. It was sad to see and I don't even like Cam Newton.
  16. Just catch the ball. He could have rolled over into the endzone, there was no one near him. If it hits you in the hands you have to make that catch. Hell I would have been OK if he would have gotten up and walked around a bit before going in the endzone just to take some time off the clock. Not a great throw, but not an awful throw at all.
  17. Back then it was worse because Shula was on the competition committee so we always thought Miami got the benefit of close calls. But that game was a joke. To flag a player for unsportsmanlike conduct while he's trying to make a play and get into a pile where there's a loose ball was BS. The ref for that game got demoted a few season later, but now his vindictive son is an official in the NFL.
  18. Might not have hit that pass to Ivory, by the time Ivory turned the pocket was collapsing and there may have been a defender just tight enough to block his line of sight to that part of the field or at least make it an awkward throw.
  19. 20 losses in the 70s and then the down period in the mid 80s pre Kelly really gives them an edge. I sat through that entire 70s decade and it was very frustrating. We could just never get past them. Sometime the refs made sure of that. I still get mad thinking about the Pat Toomey game and the BS that went into that call. Beating them in 1980 with the fans tearing down the goalposts was a fantastic moment.
  20. I don't want to sound like I'm piling on Tyrod because I liked him as a player, but there were several throws last week that Allen made because he's got the height to not only see over the rush, but also to get the proper ark on the ball. Taylor couldn't do that so it's nice to see this. I agree with the OP that this throw was quality stuff.
  21. Add the 2015 Broncos to that list. They shutdown a very good Carolina team's offense in the Superbowl and won the game.
  22. He may very well need a good chunk of next year as well. Jared Goff had great strides from year 1 to year 2, but has really elevated his play in year 3. We need some patience!
  23. If we sweep Miami and the Jets maybe we could get both coaches fired. Losing to the Bills lately seems to cost people their jobs just ask Nate Hackett. Dougie Fresh probably gets another year, but their owner should be looking at the off-the-field issues in London with some of their players and the Fournette brawl and ask Stalag Coughlin and St. Doug "where's the discipline?"
