The problem is you are judging these 2 QB's on two games. Let the season play out.

no offense but your numbers are a little off. Lynch has 33 carries for 157 yards.... which would be 4.7 yards per carry. He is our #1 back. to compare: Freddie has 17 carries for 66 yards.... 3.9 YPC, not to mention his lovely 4 carries for 8 yards this past sunday. Oh and he has been thrown to 5 times, for 0 yards... Spiller has 12 carries for 38 yards.... 3.2 YPC I'm sorry but i don't buy that the bills are showcasing him. To do what? To show that he is the best back on the team. Yup that makes sense, trade the best back on our team. Oddly I'm sure people will argue that Marshawn is getting the bulk of the carries and thats why his numbers are better.... Funny how that works huh? Which would explain a lot about last season.

I actually have to agree with this. They just don't translate into good players in the NFL really.

Wow, Ur so right! what did playing in the pac-10 do for John Elway or Aaron Rodgers or Carson Palmer ... Man they looked/look terrible. That is probably the worst criticism of Luck. Im a little confused as to why everyone thinks there will be no draft. Listen, the CBA ends in March. That doesn't mean if they don't reach an agreement by then, then there is an automatic lockout. A lockout probably wouldn't occur til July, if they can't reach an agreement by then. Seeing as the draft is in April, i would say you can bet there will be one. Secondly, even if the players decide to hold a lockout, the college kids getting drafted are not part of the NFLPA, so the owners would have every right to pick these players in a draft. There will be a 2011 draft.

+1 You got to be kidding me with this thread. Like cleveland or detroit or st. louis is any better for that matter. Yet in the past decade each one of these teams have drafted #1. Two of them have picked a QB. BTW, how much winning tradition is in Detroit? Oh yea, none. Yet Matt Stafford went there and didn't put up a hissy fit about it, like Eli or John. Which also brings the point that it has only happened 2 times, that someone refused to play for who they got drafted for and demanded a trade. Andrew Luck, from seeing him play and talk on TV, does not come across at all like Eli or John. He's not cocky for one and he seems completely humble. I think this thread is a little bit of an over-reaction.

FWIW, i was watching Stanford last week play UCLA. Luck, looks more ready to come in and start. The announcers commented and said something like that as well. I'd take Luck or Mallett. Im not sold on Locker.

maybe its not lynch their interested in trading? maybe its jackson? look i like jackson just as much as the next guy but CJ and Jackson are basically the same kind of RB. Change of pace or speed backs. Marshawn is the power/bruiser back. If the bills get rid of Lynch, who is their power back? Jackson? and how long is that gonna last for? We'd basically be looking for another Lynch in a couple years.

But, but, but... what about with Santonio Holmes comes back, isn't he like gonna be the savior of their passing offense.

Great post and all. Problem is i think you stated the problem with him in your own post "He's started for 7 seasons at LDE." And therein lies the problem. We are playing a 3-4 where Kelsay is asked to play OLB, not DE. And from what was seen sunday, the guy can't handle it. He was horrendous in pass coverage, which i'm sorry to say is required of a 3-4 OLB. Not to mention when he was rushing the QB, he got no pressure. Listen he may have a serviceable DE, but he just doesn't have the speed to be playing OLB. I'm not saying we give up on him right away, because he honestly didn't have much of a preseason, but other teams are gonna watch film on him, see he can't cover, and go right after him.

Way to try and avoid the fact that u were wrong. Fact is FJ was hurt, u even said it urself. Why take a risk in loosing him for the entire season by hurting his hand more. Not to mention his bum hand makes him no use on pass plays as seen by that first play. Nice try to make something out of nothing. Time to move along.

Fail... um fred jackson was on the field for the first play. Hence he started. In fact the ball was thrown to FJ on the FIRST play...evidentally he dropped it... it hit him in his still injured hand. If he would of caught it there was room to run. Got anything else?

I dont care what team u are, if ur offense is as terrible as the jets is tonight... eventually ur defense is gonna wear down. And ur gonna start subbing in people and not having ur best defense on the field.

i posted this idea in another trent bashing thread. it's like how many do we freaking need, I GET IT, you don't like him. but do we really need a new thread every time someone decides they don't like him.

what i couldn't understand is why Morman, gave such a high lofty free kick, for someone to run under and fair catch... there is nothing, to my knowledge, that says you can't kick more of a line drive type of kick... let it hit the ground and make someone bumble around for it. Once a player calls fair catch, thats it you've lost your chance... Line drive it at some one, more like a purposeful shank, and let your guys run down there. Just a thought.

Finally a post with some sense. I too was confused when we came out with 3 passing plays. the first one to freddy, who is coming off a broken hand injury, what sense did that make? It hit him right in the hands, albeit his bad hand. Although if he catches it he did have some space to run. But then on 2nd down again, a pass play. And then a 3rd and long. I could have sworn we wanted to establish the run, so that would open are pass and give trent some confidence. I guess i was mistaken

there is nothing more that i hate than if's... IF IF IF. Well the fact is they weren't interceptions. They aren't on the stat line, they didn't effect the game. A person could "IF" this game to death. Hey i'll give you some ifs. "IF" kelsay would have had better coverage on some of those pass plays, maybe the dolphins don'ts score. What "IF" the bills stopped the dolphins 3 times at the goal line? What "IF" brandon marshall would have caught that deep pass? What "IF" leodis intercepts one of those knock downs? Get my point? Lets keep things in the realm of what ACTUALLY happened.
