  1. Lockdown from what Nike and George Wilson have said makes the jersey almost attach itself to the shoulder pads. Making it harder to pull or tug. If it doesn't separate from the pads less likely to see jersey tackles or holds. I would also like to know what a non-tailored replica/authentic jersey will look like. As a fan, I have no need for lockdown collar etc.
  2. This is in fact true, BUT ,and this is a huge point, the US Federal Government still considers MJ illegal. So while your average Joe Smith California policeman won't arrest you, you better believe a DEA or FBI agent is completely within their right to do it. This is why you have Federal Agents raiding dispensaries in CA. But having lived in CA for many years, it is nice to partake in the use of MJ without looking over your shoulder for Police. It just feels much more accepted and yet people are still very productive in CA. As far as the which is worse look at the effects of quitting MJ vs. Alcohol. Quitting Alcohol cold turkey can in fact kill you you, ie Amy Winehouse. I don't see too many(or any?) people dying over quitting MJ. So I'm not quite sure what the problem is besides the illgality of it.
  3. Brutal! That brang back way too many memories of a stagnant offense and a defense that couldn't stop much.
  4. I can't find the source at the moment, but I believe it was annouced at the Nike unveiling, that EVERY team would have a 3rd jersey. The stipulations on it were that teams could only wear them 2 times next year and it couldn't be in a prime time game. Thats what the guy who blogs for the Seahawks had tweeted. I do believe that every team could very well get a 3rd jersey. But in the end, it may be, something that Nike does just for the consumers/fans and certain teams never wear them.
  5. http://nikeinc.com/nike-football/news/nfl-uniforms-buffalo-bills This is a full on view of the uniforms, interesting reading and seeing all the info Oddly 3 teams have chosen to not take advantage of the new fabrication: Atlanta, Philidelphia and Green bay
  6. My guess was George's jersey he was wearing was tailored so certain parts of the jersey are bigger wider etc. the close up shown on the bills website is probably what fans will get sold
  7. New England has their normal 3 stripes that go all the way around the collar
  8. bills only ones in AFC east doing the collars
  9. Not happy about the Collars.... Looks like teams had a choice to make them the same color as the jersey. Buffalo opted out. Wonder if the aways will have a white collar or be blue. Way to f that one up.
  10. Agreed. Been saying this as well. Teams are given the opportunity to change designs, IF they want. Nike can't force teams to change jersey/logo designs. As far as I've seen, Carolina changed their logo slightly. The most you'll see is a change in MATERIALS being used. Nike has been at the forefront of breathable materials etc. FWIW, 26 of the 32 teams go to a jersey manufactorer in Minnesota for the actual game worn jerseys.
  11. As a caveat, ALL turnovers now will receive a review like TDs, so coaches won't need to challenge.
  12. Also looks like the time change for the trade deadline will be shelved until they talk it over with the NFLPA.
  13. Looks like the replay review was passed at the owners meeting. Per Schefter.
  14. When I was younger and we would go to the Ralph for Bills games, my friends dad would just tape zip-lock bags full of alcohol to his body before going in. Worked like a charm. Just had to get a straw when you got inside the stadium.

  16. Agree to disagree on that one. I think to run an effective wildcat offense speed is everything. Typically Qb's are slow, which is why adding a fast, elusive player in works so well. This is also why it worked so well with Ronnie Brown/Ricky Williams. You don't see to many teams sticking their fullback in the game to run the wildcat. Can you imagine big ol' Cory doing it? Even when its a short down situation, the Bills use Smith because of his speed and cutting ability. He is fast enough to cut and make it through the correct hole on wildcat plays. Again, this is why is was successful for Miami. Not that stats tell the whole story, but: Tim Tebow career YPC average: 5.4 Brad Smith career YPC average: 7.2, even with him only being used in Bills short yardage situation.
  17. Which 4 years are you refering to? The Jets played Green Bay coming off the bye in 2010 and Jacksonville in 2009. Edit: nevermind, I see you mean the Pats* 2004-2007.
  18. Tim Tebow 40 yard dash time: 4.71 @ combine. Brad Smith 40 yard dash time: 4.45 @ combine. So Tim Tebow is slower than Brad Smith, hell Tebow is slow for a TE, RB or any other position besides maybe QB. Both Qb's aren't the best of throwers. I'd say they are at least even there. I'm not a Tebow hater, but how does being a slow type RB help him be better at running the wildcat? Unless you think he can be a bruising FB type and get short yardage? Even then, Brad Smith is already completely capable of doing that. This thread is about a specific role Tim Tebow wil play not what his TEAMS he played for have done.
  19. Just saw this, wow. How nice.
  20. Incarcerated bob is the source. Wow.
  21. Honestly, you could be right. He might end up getting all this hype, and take a while develop. Or he could end up being like a Julio Jones, #2 WR(6th overall) picked in 2011. Jones put up 959 yards and 8 TDs with a 17.8 YPC. Those numbers are fairly impressive for a rookie WR. If the Bills were able to get that out of Floyd, I'd be happy, and I'm sure Stevie and the Bills would be happy too. Whether or not it was worth what Atlanta gave up, is a whole other story.
  22. WOW. I am absolutely shocked.
  23. Now, I understand that it is the Bills, but c'mon, that is complete and uter favoritism. Carolina goes 6-10, does practically nothing in FA, and move up 5 spots? Which makes some sense considering the Saints problems, but cmon 5 spots? Atlanta looks to still be competitive in the division and so does Tampa Bay with their FA signings. Chefs finish 7-9, re sign Bowe and sign Brady Quinn, and move up 5 spots? The Bengals, for no particular reason, drop 8 spots? I mean the Saints lost their freaking head coach and drop 9 spots, what the hell did the bengals do to deserve that? Its not like anyone else in the AFC North made big moves in FA that would warrant that kind of drop. AFC East blogger James Walker did have the Bills listed as 16, but I can't imagine what the other writers had the Bills at to average out at 23. I mean, if your going to do a power ranking based on FA moves and off season so far, the Bills, who made one of the BIGGEST FA moves in 2012, should have moved up a bit more than 2 spots. Certainly ahead of Seatle and Arizona.
  24. I like what I see in the highlights. But thats exactly what they are, highlights. I haven't seen enough of his GT games to see the whole picture. But it does seem like A LOT of the balls were underthrown. That being said, he doesn't seem to be on most peoples big board. Maybe he'll still be there at 41.
  25. Well I was going to respond in kind, but seeing as you just got owned by Kelly, I'll leave you to read what he wrote. And btw, I do watch many many many college games, and still think what scouts and media do is hard work. And having lived in SoCal, no one thought Clay Matthews would have turned into the sack machine he did. Hence why he was selected late in the first. He was a walk on at USC and stuggled to make the team. Had 1 good year and that was that. I doubt you would have been able to predict what his NFL career would become.
