Off-season power rankings mean absolutely nothing. Only thing that stood out to me is the Atlanta Falcons comments. They had a crap draft, crappy FA period thus far. The blogger ranking them admits as much, yet they move up 2 spots from the the last ranking. That in itself should show how little this ranking means.

Tape? Film? What decade are you guys in?

Seeing as the Denver Bronco's are going to iPads for their plays. Can we still call it a "playbook" or "drawing" up plays? -
Wow, just read all of that. Crazy, to say the least.

I thought we were going to get a big WR...
Wayne Cubed replied to Toshiero's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So why come here then? To impart your vast knowledge on us "kool-aid drinkers and lemmings" -BTW, it's been accepted that Aaron Maybin was not a Buddy Nix selection. Doesn't even come close to meeting his criteria. -2010 Tom Modrak was still the head of college scouting. -His record doesn't stop at just the Bills BTW. At San Diego, one could argue Nix is responsible for 8 Pro Bowlers: CB Antonio Cromartie (2008), C Nick Hardwick (2007), C Vincent Jackson (2010), K Nate Kaeding (2007, 2010), LB Shawne Merriman (2006-08), T Marcus McNeil (2007-08), S Hank Milligan (2006) and QB Philip Rivers (2007-08, 2010). Three of his unsigned rookie free agents – TE Antonio Gates (2005-10), G Kris Dielman (2008-10) and WR/ST Kassim Osgood (2007-08, 2010) were also selected to the pro-bowl... But yea he has been WAY below average at selecting talent. -
Rd 7, Pick #25: K John Potter - Western Michigan
Wayne Cubed replied to Dennis in NC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It makes sense to at least bring him to camp to push Lindell. But I don't think they keep 2 kickers on the active roster, just because I'm sure they would like to keep someone who see's the field a bit more. Then they could hide him away on the practice squad if they are thinking of eventually replacing Lindell. I'm probably in the minority here but I thought Lindell and the Bills did a great job with the new rule. Consider the Bills had the LOWEST yards per return allowed in the NFL at 20.4 ypr. Not kicking it into the endzone every time actually helped. It made sense to kick it a little short and let the guy run it out and stop him before the 20. Also we the Bills didn't give up a TD on kick off. -
Good lord, the Pats just keep getting better
Wayne Cubed replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ok, he saw playing time in 13 of 16 games. Still wasn't a bonified starter. Manly came in for injuries. Sure he looked good in preseason at LT. But that was preseason. -

Very high level? He played occasionally at the RT position and sometimes was blocking TE, so Tackle eligible. Had 5 penalties, allowed 4 pressures and 3 sacks... Lets not go anointing him a pro LT just yet. I seem to remember him looking pretty awful in the super bowl. -
Kiper had Cordy Glenn as his #14 overall player
Wayne Cubed replied to dogma+'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This. Peters was an UDFA at TE and Bell didn't get serious about football until College. I think teams/Bills looks for the measurables and believe they can teach the rest. I believe finding a LT later in the draft, to develop, is a lot more common than people would assume. Sure if you get lucky enough to pick the first LT off the board in a draft there is no need to look later in the draft. -
Buffalo Bills 2012 NFL Overall Draft Grade
Wayne Cubed replied to Awwufelloff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Meh, I never read too much into early draft grades. They mean relatively nothing and are more for the fan to get a little excited or upset with what the team has done. Personally, I think we did well in the draft. We acquired players of need and also players that will push other players at certain positions. Overall, to me that's a good draft. If we end up with 2-3 new starters that's a GREAT draft, but no one will know that till an actual down of football is played. -
amazing - Nix and states that lost the Civil War

SEC, arguably the best conference in the NCAA Football. You go where the players are. -
RD 3, Pick #69: WR TJ Graham - NC State
Wayne Cubed replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This. Also reminds me of a Santonio Holmes. Almost exact same size. Not saying he'll end up playing like Holmes, Jackson or Evans. But the comparisons to Parrish are kind of a joke. This kid looks like he can play the outside and will compete to play there. The Bills brass obviously thought enough of him to go and get him, so I'm ok with it. Lets not all forget that Mayock is not the end all be all. Last year he couldn't shut up about how much of a can't miss prospect Blaine Gabbert was. So for me, after the first round, most draftniks are useless and so are draft analysts -
RD 1, Pick #10: DB Stephon Gilmore - South Carolina
Wayne Cubed replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think he would have picked McKlovin' because he wasn't a great CB in college. Great PR man? Yes. Great shut down star CB, no. -
I thnk people fail to see that. 31st ranked defense.

The importance of TE's in the NFL
Wayne Cubed replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
sorry, should have clarified that IMO, he won't be there. And IMO there aren't TE's like Gronk, Davis, Graham, etc. in this years draft -
RD 1, Pick #10: DB Stephon Gilmore - South Carolina
Wayne Cubed replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When you read the negatives, jesus, he still does all of them. Not being able to locate the ball, CHECK. Gets fooled by pump fakes and play-action, CHECK. Spends too much time looking into the backfield and gets burned for it, CHECK. What Levy and Jauron saw in him, I have no idea. He was a great PR in college and thats it. -
Wow colt done in cleveland
Wayne Cubed replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Little has terrible hands and has serious problems adjusting to the ball when its thrown too. If you have watched any of the games you could see he is definitely not the answer. Cribbs is a slot receiver, but he's a lot like Devin Hester. Great return man, average WR. -
looked like a toilet seat on his head.

He can, but they seriously have no WR threat. -

This is up their for WORST pick in the 1st round. I'm sorry but I completely believe he would have been their at the Browns 2nd round pick. Apparently its become OK to reach for QB's(Tannehill, Weeden), the problem with that is the Browns, thus far haven't given him any weapons. It seems like they are trying to attempt the Cincy success story, but they don't have their AJ Green. -
