Ex-Eagles Pres. Seeking Bills Ownership
Wayne Cubed replied to SKRAAPY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This. I must have said this about 10 times on this subject in these forums. Adding a bit to what you've said already. The reason the LA stadium talks have ramped up more recently is because the Coliseum signed a 10 year deal, in 2010, with USC for the football team to play their. -
Big Problems With Bills Offense ....
Wayne Cubed replied to Owen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Technically, according to the OP, this is why the "media" is disqualifying them or so he thinks thats why. No one has posted any links to back what the OP wrote, what the media thinks of the Bills offensive players. -

Brandon Lloyd .... a 4th round pick going into his 9th year and has had 1 great year(2010), maybe the #2 receiver WR ... Anthony Gonzalez .... been on IR 2 out of the 4 years in the league WR ... Deion Branch ... Another 2nd round pick WR ... Julian Edelman .... Picked in the 7th round but could have been a free agent OL ... Nate Solder .... A 2nd year LT, who played RT mostly last year OL ... Dan Koppen .. A 5th round pick OL ... Sebastian Vollmer...... Another 2nd rd pick OL ... Brian Waters ... Another free agent See what I did there? -
Does Demetress know he's basically playing RT for the Eagles. He's not protecting Vick's blindside. I never understood the Eagles approach to their line, in terms of Vick. You want your best tackle protecting the blind side. Yet Peters, stays on the Left. Surely defenses know Vicks blind side is on the Right side(left side for the defense) and they send their best pass rusher to that side.

Fitz working on mechanics with new QB coach
Wayne Cubed replied to John Cocktosten's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Was just going to comment about this after reading through most of the responses. The article talks about fixing his footwork, doesn't really say anything about his throwing motion needing correcting ala Tim Tebow. -
Has Dalton reached his maximum potential?
Wayne Cubed replied to Captain Hindsight's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I do believe I said situations, not Andy Dalton is Mark Sanchez. Mark Sanchez looked average to garbage most of the regular season his first year. Andy Dalton looked average and was able to manage games. If Andy or Mark had the Bills defense, their teams wouldn't have made the playoffs. They both came into situations where their defenses were outstanding therefore their wasn't pressure to perform. They could afford to make mistakes or play averagely. -
Can't get away from the money issue huh? Depression/Happiness/Sadness don't choose people based on what they have in life. It's a chemical balance or inbalance in the brain. It has nothing to do with his wealth. You do understand it is possible to have everything and be sad or confused? Yes, he played football so he's getting more press about his life after football, but that doesn't mean people should dimiss his mental stability. And simply telling them to "pull his head out of his ass" isn't going to change how he feels.

Wayne Cubed replied to Captain Hindsight's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I equate the Andy Dalton situation to the Mark Sanchez situation. Mark Sanchez had a decent rookie season and made the playoffs too. But it was the team around him, that propelled him to the playoffs, not his play at QB. Same with Dalton. Sooooo, would you take Mark Sanchez? -
Nope. People get entrapment confused a lot. Entrapment happens when an undercover officer persuades someone to commit a crime when they weren't ready or willing to. Entrapment is not, if you ask a police officer who's undercover, if he's a police officer and he says no. They don't have to admit they are officers at all. All these undercover police officers at the game are going to be doing is observing. Which is completely legal, even if they are asked if they are cops or not.

Its funny, the posters who equate money to happiness. For those people, I suggest watching a documentary called "Happy." Scientists for years and years have studied depression and how it effects the brain. It wasnt until recently they started studying happiness and what makes someone happy and feeling successful in life, in the brain. Here's a hint, it's not money. Yes, a person who lives on the streets and suddenly gets enough money for food and shelter, would be happy. But they have found there is little to no difference between someone who makes $50,000 and $5 million, in terms of how happy a person they are. The serotonin levels, the protein that causes happiness, are not any higher. So no, a person who is depressed or suicidal, who has millions isn't anymore happier than your average American. It's a fact. It's measurable, just like depression.

Planning on flying in(coming from the UK) to see the game.

I think the Welsh team, who looked very very good in the 6 Nations, should be a good contender. And the All in Blacks always put out a great team. Should be good.

I'd be interested to see how Americans play rugby now that I've seen the rugby here. I'm American, so rugby(union) over here was eye opening. When I first moved here, I needed a sport to watch, to get my fix. Soccer(football) is ok, to me it's just not a TV sport. But I watched a couple ruby games here and was instantly hooked. Took me a while to understand what was actually happening, but once I did it was great.

Bills Over/Under at 6.5
Wayne Cubed replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So, if someone put down $700 on the Bills to win 7 or more games, and the Bills do, they would only get back $500 for a total of $1200. If they put down $700 on the Bills to lose 6 or less, and the Bills do, they would get $700 and $700 back for a total of $1400. The point I ask is, the original poster said Vegas isn't favoring the Bills(maybe because they set the game total at 6.5). But the pay out is bigger for putting the same amount of money down on them losing less than 6. Doesn't that mean Vegas thinks the Bills will win 7+, therefore they are in fact favoring the Bills to do well? -
I watch a good amount of Rugby over here(UK) and I don't agree that their isn't big hits. Well, I should say it depends on the which Rugby you are playing, is it Rugby Union or League? I'm not sure what they play in the states. Internatinally, Union is what is generally played and this is where big hits DO happen. Also in Union, the Scrums are more important and can be brutal. I've witnessed them. Late hits happen A LOT, especially in the Ruck, players will dive in to go for the ball. League Rugby is more about scoring/speed. There's less players so the game is more spread out. Scrums and big hits don't happen as much. Generally, wrap in tackle is encouraged in all of Rugby. That doesn't mean a 6'8" Scotsman isn't going to lower his shoulder when a smaller winger or fullback is trying to tackle him. His shoulder will most certainly do some damage to the head. Not to mention, Rugby players are the definition of "tough guys." It's almost frowned upon when you come out of the game for an injury. So their isn't nearly as many safety measures in place like the modern NFL.

Bills Over/Under at 6.5
Wayne Cubed replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Correct me if I'm wrong here but to place a bet on the Bills winning more than 6.5 games you'd have to put down $140 and you'd only get back $100. But if they are under 6.5 games its $100 for $100. So you'd basically be betting more money(if you think they'll win more than 6.5), but getting less than double your money back. Doesn't that mean they think we'll win more than 6.5 games which is why your return isn't as great? -

Vince Young to address the media at 1pm
Wayne Cubed replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Like I said earlier, Tyler Thigpen had a "press conference" when he was signed last summer. Not sure why people think a FA talking to the media after being signed is such a huge event. It happens. Quite regularly in fact. -
Well at least Americans with DWIs can now travel to see the games! So the drunk feat can continue. Linky

Vince Young to address the media at 1pm
Wayne Cubed replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This. How fast people forget. Uh hello when the bills signed Tyler Thigpen he had a "press conference". And here's the proof: Thigpen presser Some people need to get a clue and stop reading into everything. FA signees are commonly made available to the media. Relax people. -
you would be correct. He sat out 4 games in 2006 for the "failed test", went on to record 17 sacks that season still. In 2007 he had 12.5 sacks. The pessimists will say the steriods had a lingering effect on his body. I wasn't aware steriods stayed in your system for months and months.

I was in the rockpile section with my Dad and Uncle. Stayed for the entire game, even when droves of fans left at half time. My Dad has always said "you wouldn't pay for a movie and then leave half way through." Which is why 97.9% of the time I won't leave a sporting event early, man did it pay off that day.
