Now Greg Williams is a cheater?
Wayne Cubed replied to mountainwampus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the only scandal is the $$, it violates the CBA. Whenever I was playing football, coaches always talked about hard hits and knocking guys out. Got you pumped up. You weren't out there trying to end someones life, but just hitting them hard enough so that they remembered not to come your way again. -
RT @russbrandon: Think a lot of @buffalobills followers will be excited about the 10 am presser. Looking forward to it. get ready to welcome SJ13 back

Percy Harvin hasn't had a 1000 yard season or scored as many TD's in a single season as Johnson has. All of this with better QB's(Favre, McNabb, Ponder) and being drafted #22 overall, so there is an expectation with him to preform. Which I don't think he has lived up to. He has more receptions but with less yards per attempt. So for me, personally, I'd take Johnson over Harvin in a heartbeat. Jackson can be an elite player, but it seems as though the injuries are pilling up for him(especially the concussion). His body almost seems like its not going to hold up. So that one to me is a toss up. Johnson is more durable, so I would take him. Kenny Britt, in 3 years, hasn't put up the yardage or TD's Johnson has(although he was injured this year). Through the first 3 games of the this season they both had identical stats. I'd still take Johnson. JMO.

That's exactly what you said. Just saying.

"these "reports" are crazy." could mean many things. Could mean he thinks it crazy how these reports get out or that people are able to find out anything. Could be he's joking around and calling them crazy, pulling everyone's leg. Who knows? But to say they definitely mean its not happening is perpetuating something that you can't say for sure.
-
Again, I don't know why you are going to each stevie forum and posting this. Yes he said that on twitter... but where do you see that stevie said it isn't happening? He said "we'll see what happens." He doesn't say it is or isn't happening at all. Not to mention, he probably doesn't want to specifically comment on it, which has been his MO the entire time.
-
Don't know if that means anyone is wrong.... He isn't confirming or denying it, just saying it's crazy. Not to mention the fact that Stevie has said that his agent would handle the contract and would only come to him if it was something he was ready to sign... which is probably what Schefter is reporting on.

Every 3 weeks my wife gets her nails done and I get about 2-3 hours of the house to myself. I use that time to watch the shows she doesn't like or listen to music she doesn't like. It's bliss.

Considering on BuffalBills.com Nix is quoted as saying “It is absolute. It’s a no, you’ve got to give up the farm. We’re not in that business.” In regards to trading up for RG3. You'd think there wouldn't be so many of these discussions coming up.

Have I Mentioned Recently How Much I Hate Bicyclists?
Wayne Cubed replied to Chef Jim's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Yup, I was riding with traffic. The lady, in ever-so-hip toyota prius, was making a left, and I was heading straight on. For some reason or another she didn't see me, probably because she was on her phone, until it was too late. She hit me with the front passenger side of her car. Lucky nothing was broken on my body but I made the mistake of just letting her go without getting any info. My back was messed up for a week or so. -
Have I Mentioned Recently How Much I Hate Bicyclists?
Wayne Cubed replied to Chef Jim's topic in Off the Wall Archives
As a person who's been hit by a car while riding my bike, the car was trying to make a quick left and beat a light, I can attest to all of this. I won't get all preachy either, because I do obey the rules of the road, but I lived in LA for years and drivers there just do not give a chit about bikers. An old roommate of mine got side swiped by a car, he was in the bike lane, and the guy didn't even stop. I've also been yelled at, things thrown at... all while obeying the rules of the road. -
I got 11 out of 12 in about 10 minutes.

J. Finley 15mil over 2yrs...
Wayne Cubed replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You might be the biggest Stevie hater on this board. In case you weren't aware. This "Bad Bills" team is in the NFL. So Stevie being the #1 on the Bills, who are in the NFL, would make him a #1 in the NFL. The Bills should pay him like he is their #1. Thats probably what he is asking for. Hence why you don't here outrageous claims like he is asking for 10+ million. And I'm completely sick of this #1 or #2 argument. There are 32 teams, Stevie's average statistics put him at about 13-15th best WR in the league. Therefore by your expert analysis there must only be about 10 "#1 recievers" in the NFL. So what are the other teams suppose to do for #1's? Also Jordy Nelson outperformed Greg Jennings, so maybe they should switch pay checks, seeing as now, according to how you rate receivers, Nelson would be the #1. -
Excuse me if I interject, because this case isn't quite over. First off the Giants didn't chose to replace Burress, he shot himself in the leg. Also in the 2008 draft they drafted Manningham(3rd Round) to presumably replace an ageing Toomer. So their #1 receiver going into the 2008/2009 season would have been Burress with Manningham taking over the #2. That all changed when Burres shot himself. That forced the Giants to draft Nicks #1 overall in 2009. Cruz was a diamond in the rough. Sure you could look at Giants and see that they have different WR and make the case that "hell you can replace anyone." But you aren't comparing apples to apples. The Bills aren't in a position to draft a WR #1 overall to replace our leaving one. We don't have the stout defense the Giants did and continue to have. And BTW its not like the Giants chose to overhaul their WR corp. Also if you are going to suggest we replace our WR corp through FA. That would be 2 we would need and the Bills have trouble getting one great FA to come to Buffalo, let alone 2. -I highly doubt there is a Victor Cruz hidden on the Bills WR -There isn't even a #2 receiver on the Bills. -The Bills have too many holes on defense
-
I believe because of how the Bills do cash to cap, as long as they cut them before the beginning of the NFL year(March 7th) then it won't take a hit on the salary cap for 2012 or 2013. So that would be available money.

Buffalo Ramblings, not the best source sometimes, made a good point about where some of this money could come from for Johnsons contract by dumping some players currently on the Bills. Terrence McGee $3.6 million in 2012; $4.6 million in 2013 Dwan Edwards $3.8 million in 2012; $3.65 million in 2013 Thats $7.4 million for 2012 and 8.25 million for 2013. Take the average of that and you have roughly 7.8 per year for the next 2 seasons. Obviously he isn't asking for a 2 year contract, but that at least secures some of the money need for his contract. It also could put his contract in the 15 million guaranteed category. McGee hasn't played up to his money because of the injuries and Edwards will be the odd man out in the new 4-3 scheme. Its an interesting point. We could also look to the late rounds of the draft for CB and DL depth. That is where McGee came from.

Not to nit pick, because I know the type of poster you are, but All Pro, which is the term you used in your original post and Pro Bowl are two completely different terms. Donte was not and has never been voted All Pro. He has made the Pro Bowl as an alternate(which is voted on by the fans). You therefore could say "All-Star" if you'd like.

Well for me personally, I work in an office, so its shirt and tie everyday. Currently I'm working in the UK, I work for one of the largest, if not the largest recruitment agencies in all of the UK. Without going into a long explanation, in the UK, the government pays X amount of £ to train or qualify people for specific job titles like warehouse or business admin or engineer(and believe me the amount of money is very high). There are certain levels a learner can achieve. So business's come to us to make sure we get their employees onto this program, as well as individuals come to us to get qualified for certain jobs. Compared to the US, its a very smart program for getting people who aren't college educated into the work place. I currently am an Account Admin Manager, I oversee 3 types of training in the entire north of the UK. I'd consider this a career type job as in I make a very nice salary, have a company car, benefits, bonuses etc. I'd say i'm pretty well off for 28 almost 29 years of age. For me personally there is nothing that takes a smoking hot girl to trailer scank than a tramp stamp tattoo or some terrible done tattoo. Don't get me wrong, I have tattoo's with some great meaning(portrait of my parents on their wedding day, a his/her tattoo with my wife) but I think a lot of what people who are really into tattoo's enjoy about them is the art work, not that they have some deep significant meaning. As far as Kat Von D is concerned, do I think she has talent? Yea. Would I pay what she ask's an hour(which is about $600-$700/hour)? Nope. Not when I know artists who are better than her and have more of a range. She has pigeon holed herself into this black/white "portrait" artist. So a lot of her other styles of tattoo work isn't that great. And seeing as I don't have the need to get a portrait tattoo'd, I wouldn't want to pay for something from her that even she will admit isn't her best work. As one of my tattoo artists once said " You learn quickly which places will and won't hire you. Yea maybe Ralphs(supermarket) won't hire you, but Trader Joe's will." If you read my post above, obviously it hasn't been a hindrance to my career and I'm definitely not the exception to the rule. Again I think this is just a misconception.

The report said far apart, but it didn't say where. Could be years, could be signing bonus, could be up front money. Doesn't necessarily mean Stevie is interested in the money aspect. Maybe he wants stability, ie more years on the contract. Point is people can only guess at what the hold up is, because a source, who is unnamed, came forward right after they had exchanged offers and were going to talk it out some more(coincidence? prolly not) and a gave a really vague statement. IMO this is a ruse used by either the Bills or Johnsons agent.

As someone who is heavily covered in tattoos(both arms and my hands covered, knuckles, ribs and various parts of my legs/back), these shows are good and bad in many ways. Good because I think they have helped bring acceptance to the body art community(although some people could care less about being accepted), not completely accepted but every little bit helps. Having very visible tattoos people automatically assume you don't have a "real" job, because "what person would hire someone with visible tattoos?" is the general thought. When in reality, many of the people in the community of body art have career jobs, myself included. Also good because it has shown people what good tattoos can look like therefore avoiding "scratchers" or a cheap tattoo, although what some of these shops on these shows charge is outrageous. These shows are bad, to me, mainly because they are exactly that, shows. The creators try too hard to make it about drama or have some sort of story, when in reality these aren't actors. Every tattoo has to have a story on the show, which is ok sometimes, but many times tattoos are just for sheer enjoyment of the artwork. Sometimes you can tell that the conversation between the tattoo artist and the person getting tattoo'd seems so forced and awkward. Also some of the shows make the artists on them seem like cocky dicks. Personally, I have no desire to get tattoo'd by any of the people on Miami, LA or London ink(I would however consider Meagan M, from NY ink). I think they over charge and there are artists out there that are just as good, if not better, at a more reasonable price.

I think thats an excellent point. Why risk ending up with nothing? You let Stevie walk, who wants to be here, and put all your eggs in one basket hoping you'll land one of the other WR? Its free agency, the player gets to choose where he wants to go.. sometimes the money doesn't matter.

My only comment will be this, you haven't seen any team sign their "big" FA yet. Drew Brees, Ray Rice, Carl Nicks, Wes Welker... none of them have been signed. That's not to say they won't get the franchise tag, although I doubt Brees, Rice or Welker gets the tag. I just think its a tad bit to early to scream the sky is falling, especially with talks this week. Most of this could be just purposeful leakage to gain leverage. Take for example the labor talks last year. They were miles and miles apart according to reports. The season was going to get cancelled. Then BAM, with the deadline to start canceling regular season games approaching, in practically a couple days, a deal emerges. Now I know the stakes were a little different, but the sky has not fallen yet. Talks this week should reveal much more IMO.

Maybe Stevie is better than we thought
Wayne Cubed replied to Captain Hindsight's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That one handed catch he made on the sideline, that was nearly in bounds, was masterful. It made the NFL films highlight for the year even though he didn't get in bounds. That game showed a lot about Stevie's abilities. -
Agreed! The AA of drafts. I want to see papers showing at least 3 generations of Aryan "Whiteness."
