  1. Not to mention Dallas has one of the worst run defenses... The game plan didn't make sense.
  2. And it's been Fitzs MO, for the past 2 weeks. Make a pre snap decision on where he is going with the ball. Problem is either he is reading the defense wrong or the defenses are doing a good job disguising what they are going to do. I think it's the latter. Which means he needs to go through his reads now which would also require time in the pocket. Not sure the OL can do that...
  3. Over head view showed Stevie had separation on a little 3 yard slant. Could have got us the first down, but again Fitz, for some reason doesnt like going to his left...
  4. On that fourth and 2 I said to my buddy... Please I hope they don't go for the end zone.. They ran the same exact play last week except this time D. Jones wasnt double covered but the throw wasn't good. And btw Stevie was open on a little 3 yard slant that would have gotten us the first down. I just don't understand the play call. I like the down field throws, but not in critical situation like that. I agree with the OP
  5. I think what has bothered me the most about Fitz as of late, is he zeros in on one receiver per snap. Doesn't go through his reads as much and is throwing these short little slants and out routes. And guess what, the jets and now the cowboys have figured that out. They have done an excellent job of disguising what sort of defense they are going to go with and Fitz can't read it and makes a bad decision. Does that mean we should criticise the signing? Personally, I would have liked them to wait til the end of the season. But it's something that definitely needs to be worked on. I understand people's frustrations, but to be honest we are doing better than most people had predicted. This is only year 2, let's see if the Bills can figure this thing out.
  6. I watched the first 4 episodes. Really good stuff. My dad was drafted and served in Vietnam so this was a great insight into what went on over there seeing as he doesn't like to talk about it. I remember being younger and asking about what happened over there. He would always just say they did a lot of walking around and it wasn't really anything. I asked him again in my late teens about it and he finally opened up about it. About killing people(which for some reason hit me the hardest), diving into holes, setting off traps. He said if the draft was ever to happen again, and I was drafted he would drive me up to Canada himself so that I didn't have to go through what he did. The part of the documentary that hit me the most was the story of the draftee coming home and being proud that he served but then everyone, besides his family, being upset with what he had done. Giving him negative looks, judging him and even not sitting near him. He started crying on the show. Made me think an awful lot.
  7. As I understand it they don't get paid as well as the other referee's. I believe I read in an article a while back that it was between $45,000-$60,000 for the 16 games. So most of them have jobs outside of the NFL, because they can obviously make more money throughout the year. Whereas MLB(who get paid the most) crews get upwards of $100,000. When you think about it, it makes sense. 16 games compared to 162. Although the NFL is America's hottest sport, you would think the refs could get paid a lot more.
  8. I'm sorry, but 85 yards againts the best CB in the league... when other other receivers can't do that. Need to pay the man. He does so much for this team, besides whats on the feild.
  9. Yea Stevie for 85 yards today.... defintiely needed Lee. Jesus hindsight!
  10. Ummmm it's about the eagles! And seems very much like a poster trying to score points... Is she talking bills talk? No. Is she talking general football talk? No. It's eagles talk. Great she has eagles knowledge, which would be best served on an eagles board... Or it at most should be an otw topic
  11. I'm sorry, and maybe it's because I had a few... But what does this thread have to do with the Bills. Great, she is a energetic Philly fan. Makes a video. Why the need to post this on the wall? Are you trying to get some where? Do you think this is gonna score you some sort of brownie points?!? I'm jw, cause it seems you post her videos every week...
  12. Bills dreams must be going around. Had a dream the bills were up 14-3 at halftime. Then i woke up. I hope to finish the second half of my dream tonight.
  13. 14 pages and still going. I think a lot of Maybins early success, is by and large, that there isn't much tape on him out there. And the tape that is out there doesn't put him in a very good light. So teams don't think much of it when he is in the game. They think, hey, I'll just put a running back on him or whatever and be done with it. Which has worked out decently for maybin. The problem is teams, definitely the bills, could start game planning for him. Throw a chip block or double team at him or hell an actual OT. And when that happens, I believe maybin will be all but shut down. He doesn't have any secret move, like a spin or bull rush or swim move. He's a one trick pony. He has been put into great situations to get those sacks, but honestly when teams figure that out, he's done IMO.
  14. And its also evidence of how hard it is to get an NFL team in Los Angeles
  15. Linky Thats right, not 1 single NFL GM, Scout or anyone involved with a team showed up to his work out. Should tell you where his career is going and yet people on this site were clamoring for the Bills to take a shot at him.
  16. Isn't TO doing a workout today?!?
  17. Does anyone else think that bye teams are playing like garbage? Tonight proves it again. Too many days off during the bye.
  18. $29.99 on fansedge.com
  19. Thats why I put system in quotes, I know.
  20. Again, not to nit pick but Andrew Luck is the system. He calls his own plays. When it's a running play, he's the one calling it. When they don't huddle, he calls the play at the line based on what the defense gives him. They run a lot of the no huddle. A la Peyton Manning, Luck commands the offense. Also he has been through 2 head coaches, so 2 types of "systems". Yet his play hasnt gone down.
  21. That Oakland pick now goes to Cinci
  22. I know some will disagree with this, but with out the defense scoring TDs 3 games in a row, it's very possible we lose all those games instead of winning 2. I mean even if you look at this past week against the Giants, in the second half the Bills offense went Punt, Interception, TD, Interception, LoD. And yet the defense only allowed the giants 10 points in the second half. I think a lot of it has to do with the offense as well. With that said I do agree we need more pass rush and our blitzes need to be much more effective.
  23. Not to mention the Dolphins receivers had like 10 drops... Especially Marshall. Dropped that one pass, that was a little behind him, in the end zone. The dolphins receivers weren't helping Matt Moore out at all.
  24. I'd say i've watched about 8 or 9 Stanford games and while your take on his throws is pretty accurate, he has unbelievable touch on his throws and knows where exactly to put the ball. Also, I think, you have left out the most important part of his game. Andrew Luck is allowed to call his own plays. He controls a lot of what you see in Stanfords offense. His ability to read defenses is pretty amazing too. Helping the line with blocking assignments. I'm guessing thats what scouts see. Yea he doesn't have the biggest arm, and who know's what his line will look like in the pro's, but his "football smarts" are what I think impresses scouts the most. Peyton and John both didn't have huge arms...
  25. End of the game garbage time... nothing to see... he still can't beat a tackle or guard or anyone to make the sack or FF. Matt Moore was running to the side line and maybe tracked him down.
