  3. Have to agree with this statement. I'm not sure why everyone is blaming BB for her downfall. Yea they had a rough marriage, but the demons were there before she met him. She could have cleaned herself up after she left him in 07'. Hell her "strict baptist" family could have helped her. She obviously chose not to.

  5. I like your list of who the Bills should keep. I'd swap Reggie Corner for Bryan Scott. I don't think Corner has done enough to secure a spot especially with emergence of Justin Rodgers. The Bills could then look for CB's in the later rounds of the draft for depth.
  6. There is violence ALL over TV. Don't tell me you are throwing out the "I learned it from TV" argument. According to that argument, murders in America should have increased proportional to the massive amount of violence seen on TV now as compared to previously. But if you look at the statistics, its just not true. In fact since the 90s crime and murders have been falling. But thats a whole other story. Public television in general sets such a double standard. Violence, blood, guns, killing people. Thats fine. Anything relating to sex, whoa, thats too much. The whole nipple slip thing is ridiculous. Everyone has them. Get over it.
  7. Although your math of 15-2 is correct, Im guessing thats where you got the 13 from. When counting weeks 2 through weeks 15... you have to include week 2 and week 15, like so: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15(count the actual numbers). There is 14 numbers there, times 2 teams, equals 28. Plus a double header on thanksgiving. Sorry, this wasn't meant to belittle you, just a common mistake in math. Edit: sorry forgot its a triple header on thanksgiving, so add 4 more teams.
  8. Funny, cause I was watching Soccer highlights here in the UK and a player from Aresnal wrote on his shirt happy birthday to his grandma(maybe he got the idea from stevie) . There was no penalty assessed and no one seemed to care at all. Soccer players celebrate quite a bit and it hasn't affected the sport at all. What I don't understand is, scoring is exciting. Hell everyone in any given stadium goes nuts when their own team or player scores. They celebrate,go nuts, do crazy dances. Yet the player that just scored is supposed to act cool and natural. I don't mind the celebrations as long as it isn't taunting.

  10. And technically, as mentioned earlier in this thread, you the consumer are not breaking the law by buying counterfeits. The person selling them and manufacturing them is. Really its just a moral issue. Is it morally wrong to buy something that is keeping money out of the pockets of companies who already have billions of dollars?
  11. I also find it interesting that the jersey's that are actually worn by the players aren't all made by Reebok or Nike. A lot of them are made by smaller manufacturers. Hence the difference in quality and fit. But per the licensing agreement, they are required to put the Nike or Reebok logo on the player worn jersey, so that you the consumer see that and in turn go and shell out $200 plus dollars for a jersey. Brilliant!

  13. Didn't see this posted yet but Nike has released some of its new apparel for the 2012-2013 season. It came in junction with the pro bowl. Its just the players receiver gloves.   14. I've relocated first to Los Angeles then to England, which taxes here are very low(no sales tax, no property tax, low income taxes). Most of your tax is council tax, which is low, and income tax, which because i'm American I get it all back at the end of the year. But judging by your description of where you would like to live, England does not apply.
  15. I also have to disagree. The Bills scheme was so complicated this year that it didn't allow players, who are very naturally gifted, to excel at their positions. Take for example Sheppard, who by all accounts has a lot of football smarts and has great sideline to sideline abilities. He found himself out of position on occasion this year, but you could see on specific plays the talent is there. It was too much of this going from a 3-4 to a 4-3 to a 4-6 and not having stability in the scheme. Players start thinking to much about what scheme they are in, where they are suppose to be, where other people are suppose to be ect. They can't just play. Unless of course you are talking about exotic and complex blitzes, which I think are different than having a complicated scheme. You can have a very basic, meaning the scheme isn't changing every down, defensive scheme but dial up exotic blitzes on specific plays. Take for example Dick LeBeau, the Steelers scheme through and through is a 3-4, thats what they draft for and thats the players they have. But he still dials up some complex and exotic blitz packages.
  16. Seriously with this thread ? First I don't think any one here is saying Spiller is a god, if your friend is well thats something you need to take up with him. Judging by Spillers stats for his last 6 games I'd say he is not a "god" but certainly better than what you, the OP, think of him. Secondly I can't believe you are actually defending the Eagles "dream" season by coming on a Bills forum to express your joy that they finished better than the Bills, yet still failed to make the playoffs. They had arguably one of the best FA offseason's ever and completely struggled. Hell they completely failed. I have no idea how that makes you feel any better.

  19. You are correct that they didn't technically pass him up. But IMO they passed him up, when in 2004, they mortgaged the future of the team on losman, giving up that 2005 first round pick.
  20. The obvious one, that the Bills and most teams passed up on is Aaron Rodgers. He still went in the first round, just later.
  21. As pointed out in another thread. Stevie is 1 of 9 receivers to have back to back 1000 yard seasons the past two seasons. The others: Megatron, Fitzgerald, White, Wallace, Bowe, Nicks, Colston, and Marshall. I'd say that puts him up there.
  22. He celebrated a TD, that he didn't think he was going to get penalised for. Just like you celebrate when the bills score. Hell everyone in the stadium celebrates when their own team scores, but the guy who scored can't? They celebrate over here when someone scores a goal in football. They run around, slide and take their jerseys off. Doesn't seem to effect the game one bit. Aaron Rodgers does the belt move. Clay Matthews does the predator. They are revered for it! They got commercials. Are they selfish? I would guess you would say no. Point is: Scoring is exciting. Football is entertainment. That doesn't make Stevie Johnson selfish. Anyways... I'm done hijacking this thread.
  23. Gee I love the name calling that goes around on this forum. Did I say a holding penalty = a celebrations penalty? Nope, don't think I did. I was talking about how players and the penalties they commit effect the team. All penalties, no matter how or why they are commited. And it's wrong to excise some players because it "happened during the game." Which btw, doesn't exactly make sense, because the game was still being played when Stevie was penalised. My point was that penalties come from all sorts of players. They can be careless(holding, false start) or stupidity(personal foul). Guess what? They all effect the out come of a game.
