  1. Actually Alvarado, in '85, a few years after you were born, those Bills were way worse than what you're seeing now. Totally inept at every level, and that includes coaching!
  2. You raise a good point C. But, reps my friend, reps. De-program the young man's mind of bad habits with plenty of reps & good expertise.
  3. I disagree with lumping Payton with other former players that went into coaching. I've seen video on him working with young receivers and he has a very good temprament and communication skills.
  4. Josh getting back on the field in games & honing his skills, getting better with reads, quicker delivery......just improving overall while finishing this dreadful season.
  5. Actually, I'd like to see Payton Manning work with Allen during the off-season. I think the Bills should check into it. The knowledge he has far out weighs what we got at OC & qb coach. Bring in Zay & our other receivers too. Work them about 2-3 months and I'm confident we'd see a big difference. JMHO.
  6. Who deserves blame? It starts from the top down. Yes, the Pegulas. They've been the owners for 4 years now with only 1 winning season, and overall for the 4 yrs, an overwhelming losing record. But the Pegulas are only partly the blame. The front office is, especially the decision-making during this past off-season for not getting better players in positions that glaringly needed upgrading ,O-line, WR, & a veteran QB to keep. And, of course, the players. The defense is doing a good job, especially in light of the impotent offense. But also, the coaches, especially on offense & spec teams are not cutting it either. This is why, once again, we're playing basically pre-season football for the final 8 games because those games really don't count for anything, except for getting a little playing experience for the younger guys. It's Groundhog Day all over again.
  7. Unfortunately, I can't blame you. Sucks. Wait all off-season for football, and before Nov., the season's over, for all intents & purposes.
  8. Well, with the blow out against Chicago going on, I figured we could use a little humor. Just a quick look though, at the low end of predictions, we had 3 posts that registered: two of them said 2-14 (which looks like it could be accurate, if you can believe that!) and one post 3-13. (to save them the humiliation, I won't post their board names.) At the high end for wins, there were four who posted 10 wins this season. But one very optimistic (or perhaps sarcastic) fan predicted 15 wins!! I had them going 7-9. Figured with the weak spots at qb, o-line, and lack of some depth on the D. But I thought "the process" would at least keep us competitive in most games and, with a play here, an INT there, we'd hobble in with 7 wins. Boy, was I wrong. Post away what you'd like.Comments & opinions always welcome with this one. Mean while, at New Era Field...........
  9. Yeh, and if that doesn't work out, the Bills are ready to contact Booth Lusteg to mentor the qbs, or the keg of beer that had season ticket seat reserved for itself. I don't know. At 2-6, options are wide open.
  10. Hire him as our O coordinator. The early AFL Broncos had to do that. And he was a qb coach in the CFL before being a qb coach with the Broncs. Frank (not sure of the spelling here) Tripuca.
  11. Yup, you're right. It was imperative that he makes that one-on-one tackle.
  12. A good, close, hard fought game with the Patriots having all they could do to come away with the W. Everyone knows, this game is David vs Goliath on all fronts, players on the field as well as coaches on the sidelines. Nevertheless, Go Bills!
  13. It's too bad about this young man. The opportunity he had at this point in his life to eventually be a successful qb in the nfl. Make unbelievable money for years to come & have lots of opportunities as a result of that, for himself and his family to contribute positively to our society for years and years to come and he's squandering that away. I figure he has to be very immature, and or very troubled inside to keep blowing his chances as this has been his history. Of course he can regroup, straighten himself out, and have his opportunity sometime in the nfl. But he's treading on thin ice, in my opinion, and others will ( may are) lose faith in him as a player in the nfl.
  14. Brings tears to my eyes, especially the Tyler Boyd td. Thanks 26 for posting this.
  15. I second that statement. We lived through it. It was like watching today's game each week!
  16. The problem with this is when McDermott claps on the sideline, all the lights in my house go out!!?
  17. If they bought a ticket as a Bills fan they should be financially compensated!
  18. Agree. Still, to this day I believe the 64-65 Bills could have stood toe-to-toe with the Browns and the Packers if they had the Super Bowl in those years.
  19. Agree here! It's a simple formula that has stood the test of time. Win ball games, players will want to come, and stay.
  20. Great news! I'll put it on my Christmas wish-list. Thanks for the post.
