  1. I'm glad... the less religious the world becomes, the more peace to be had, imo. I think the internet, and broadening the scope of awareness for people is partially to blame for this. More than any other time in our history, we are connected with people from all across the world, with different faiths. We see every tragedy in full HD. It's easy to question why kids would grow up being more cynical of religion in general. It requires a certain amount of ignorance, imo, to fully believe, without question, the various religious texts. Treating everyone equally, and with respect is not political correctness, it's simply being a decent person. As we've seen with that dick in SC, though, the younger generations still have work to do.
  2. Never understood why people think playing with explosives of any kind is a good idea. Fireworks are fun and cool and all, but !@#$ that, I'm not handling them.
  3. I don't understand how Geno is constantly rated better than EJ. O.o
  4. I'll never understand why weed is illegal.
  5. I didn't have an Xbox One last year, but instead streamed it from my computer to my Apple TV. Now that I have a Xbox One, I'll likely get the console package and stream directly. Hopefully they keep the prices $200ish or lower... it's getting pretty expensive :/
  6. Damn, just seeing this. RIP
  7. I'll take a few less sacks for more dependable run D, and more turnovers. But uh, who wouldn't?
  8. I don't really have an opinion, myself... I just understand the low ranking considering the QB bias, and some of the challenges we have in the future.
  9. Could have come down to something as basic as them wanting to fire Hackett, and Marrone sticking up for his buddy, which is commendable, to an extent.
  10. Without a QB, and with some big re-signings coming up, and possibly KW/Mario retiring, it's pretty easy to see how our future outlook is dim. Even if this season is looking very optimistic.
  11. Disagree... it's a QB driven league, and without a proven QB it's tough to predict longer term success for the franchise, which I think this ranking is based on. Not what our record will be this upcoming season, but if a few years down the road we're still looking good/stable. If you have a QB you can absorb losing star players to free agency, without a QB you can't... and thus, a low ranking is born.
  12. For those of you looking take a stand and show your support for your flag: http://www.politico.com/story/2015/06/kkk-chapter-north-carolina-rally-south-carolina-statehouse-confederate-flag-119548.html
  13. We did plenty on our own to lose that game. Our offense was pathetic, as usual.
  14. Then you clearly misunderstand me if you think I believe this generation should do nothing. But yes, I agree on the title.
  15. I don't think NoSaint was referring to on the field... but rather "straightening him out". Which, I will be curious to see if Dareus decides to do something dumb again now that he has a coach who is super friendly and casual with the players.
  16. SoS at 19 is a bit misleading, considering the improvements of the Jets and possibly the Dolphins.
  17. We as a society have the capability to to not *need* such conditions. Different times call for different needs. Well, since you stated it so factually, I guess I can't argue with that. Cheers.
  18. I generally support free speech for the individual, but free speech does not come without consequences. The government, however, is supposed to do it's best to represent the people, so if the government flies a flag that is symbolic of oppression, slavery, segregation, lynching, etc to a great percentage of it's people, I think that's ****ty and should be changed. Sorry I didn't play by the "yes or no" rules, things aren't always so clean cut.
  19. Depends on who you ask... I think it has pretty racist connotations, myself. I don't care if private companies sell it or not, personally. Most companies will avoid potentially offensive items due to the litigious nature of our society. I don't care to see it used in official government matters, though. But again, those are all my personal views. As far as the definition? I'm sure there's a dictionary that can help you with that, and then you can interpret it from there.
  20. Generally these places have a policy of not doing anything obscene, including hate speech. So I'm voting that the cake maker was ignorant of what the ISIS flag looks like, not that Wal-Mart/or the employee took some stance to print out ISIS as some defense of free speech, or support of ISIS. The whole thing is dumb.
