Generally I like the idea of localized minimum wages. But the union negotiated minimum wages of Finland is a fascinating idea as well. Either way, as long as there are protections for the worker involved, I'm ok.

So we need to wait until the end of the season to say good things, but we can say bad things before the first game?

Personally, I think it would have been ok for Schefter to tweet something like this "A source tells me that JPP had a finger amputated as a result of his fireworks accident" That way, there's still a bit of "rumor" to it, and it's not blatantly clear that he's sitting there looking at his medical records. When you take a screenshot of it, and post it for the public to see, that's getting into really sketchy areas, imo. Legally, he might be fine, but morally, not so much.

Depends on your definition of a standard of living. If living wage purely means that they are surviving, and not homeless, then yes, they are probably making a living wage. OTOH, if living wage means, is able to afford a one bedroom apartment somewhere within reasonable distance of their job, then most likely they are not making a living wage. That's the problem with terms like living wage, there's no standard definition.

Dareus is the priority to the point I don't even care that much about the other two. Especially if we can develop one of last year's OT picks into being an effective LT. Bradham is turning a corner, but could also be replaced by a high round LB pick if need be. So... back a dump truck of cash up to Dareus's home and then go from there. On a side note, it annoys me that these analysts don't use a better video capture system than pointing a video camera at an app :|

Very slippery slope. I just don't like it. I don't think it should be shared, and tweeted, and retweeted... I don't know. To me it is a form of illegal material, because only two 'people' are supposed to have that info, everyone is not privy to it. I think Schefter should have some sort of consequence for it, because its not right to do that, but I just don't know what that consequence is. I'm not sure about that... I think those that distributed it initially to the general public (Schefter) should be held responsible... after that, I don't know.

Did a quick search, and it looks like some countries have no minimum wage set federally (example Finland), but have strong worker union participation, and those unions set minimum wages via collective agreements. Hm... that's another solution. Do those that support no minimum wage support unions?

Are there any modern countries that this is working in? I know we used to have no minimums up until the 30s, right? (I'm asking because I'm genuinely open minded about this... my goal is a solution that helps bring the lower classes "up", since I have a belief that a strong lower and middle class creates a better overall condition in the country)
