  1. Took the top two candidates of both parties, and dropped them in the poll. No write-ins, to keep things simple. Who do you want out of the top four, and why? Figured it'd be a fun look, early in... as I'm sure it'll be a little different when we get closer to actual election time. Think of the question as: If you HAD to choose one of the four, who would you choose?
  2. Saw Ant-Man on Saturday morning... I wasn't expecting much, since the trailers didn't look that great... but man, that ended up being a really fun movie. Kudos to Marvel for making a superhero action comedy heist movie!
  3. I never realized how tough life is until I started watching infomercials.
  4. Even if they do, Brady is gonna take them to court, and somehow win... so I'm working with the assumption that we'll be playing Brady in week 2. Hopefully we're good enough to take them down anyways.
  5. I see a "bench" image as someone not getting reps at all. I see him more as a role player, 4 wide sets, or possession plays, etc, not really expecting greatness, just my first reaction to seeing that image was "really??" Like I said, it's on me, long offseason, tired of pessimism, etc
  6. It's a long offseason. I'm kinda burnt out on a great many here actively rooting for failure, it seems. Maybe I need to stop coming here and just read Buffalo Rumblings articles or something haha
  7. Spoiled brat with **** parents, apparently. Tough life. I don't know why more parents don't sit down with their children and teach them proper budgeting. But then I realized, most people in general don't budget properly, and that's why we have so many credit problems heh. I do think budgeting should be a part of high school... real life math/finances or something.
  8. Nothing like hoping a player rides the bench instead of hoping he's super awesome successful.
  9. I'm still liking this thread a whole lot. This was a great idea
  10. I live in DC. And !@#$ the Washington Football Team and it's racist name. I do, however, enjoy watching the Ravens from time to time, especially when they go against to the Steelers. Always fun, physical matchups. Pretty sure he's just a troll account at this point.
  11. We really do have some fun weapons on offense... I really hope one of our QBs steps up and at least plays to a middle of the pack level. Oh, and our OL doesn't just completely suck.
  12. FYI http://gawker.com/isis-didnt-actually-tweet-a-warning-about-the-chattan-1718365270
  13. I know it's subtle, but people here who are still open minded about EJ, are just that... they want to see if he'll develop in a (theoretically) better system. I doubt you'll see too many defending EJ if he doesn't show any development this year.
  14. If the local government(s) were flying the ISIS flag, I'm sure people would be calling for it's removal.
  15. I think that was my most popular post yet.
  16. Calling Native Americans "savages" is a racist action, I'm not implying that you are racist from that one line. I don't know you well enough outside of that. I'm generally of the opinion that one should only punch on their level, or up, and not down, so to speak. So I have no problem with white people being made fun of, since we, as a group, are on top of the mountain (at least in the US). Working hard and being advantaged are not mutually exclusive.
  17. I thought this was supposed to be a serious forum for serious debate, my apologies.
  18. Very much so. And I've benefited from it (and being an able bodied straight male) over the course of my life, compared to others.
  19. Seriously, we have very little to complain about... our family wealth and societal standing is built on the backs of people of color. Instead of whining about people criticizing that, we should instead being empowering people of color to bring them up to our level of power and privilege.
  20. Last article from my lefty self, then I'll leave you guys to it: http://thinkprogress.org/health/2015/07/15/3680714/planned-parenthood-controversy/
  21. It's a tough situation, that. If that happened to me, I'd be frustrated... but in reality it's her body, so she gets to make the final call. I will say, it wasn't a fun decision to make. I have a hard time taking anyone seriously that thinks people get abortions all willy nilly instead of using birth control.
