  1. He's a rarity in that most minority head coaching candidates have a defensive orientation. I think it's wise to interview him, especially given his recent history with our team as a player. If he has anything to offer as a coach he will get head coach interviews in upcoming hiring cycles.
  2. is this Pinto Ron? https://www.gq.com/story/meet-pinto-ron-bills-mafia
  3. He'd make more money as a gambling tout than as a football player
  4. I'll be shocked if Vrabel gets completely shut out. Starting to wonder if the Titans have sullied his name in league circles as difficult to work with.
  5. why would Terry read something about what he already has the best seat in the house to view up close?
  6. Commanders interview list Ravens assistant head coach Anthony Weaver Ravens DC Mike McDonald Bobby Slowik Raheem Morris (new Falcons HC) Eric Bienemy (stop laughing!) Still to come: Aaron Glenn, Ben Johnson, Dan Quinn
  7. Ryan Tannehill has that effect on people Have the Commanders gone public with any interviews yet? I can't see them bringing in a first time HC with just coordinator experience. They need to do something splashy like Carroll or BB.
  8. sounds like a cry for help by Lombardi to get another NFL job
  9. Arthur Smith's Dad is an exec at Fedex and minority shareholder of the Redskins. Nepo baby hire all the way
  10. Just finished David Mamet's memoir "Everywhere an Oink Oink". Good stuff about Hollywood and film making
  11. Not every team wants to blow up its organizational model like the Chargers. I'm sure Morris' familiarity and track record with the front office people was a factor. Also knows the rest of the NFC intimately
  12. All quiet on the Bobby Slowik front

  14. Tepper promises not to throw cold water if Canales doesn't win right away
  15. Jim Plunkett won two Superbowls. Elway didn't win until he had Terrell Davis. I like Cook but he's not a gamechanger. Maybe a star RB is what would improve our fortunes the fastest and preserve Josh.
  16. surprised he didn't go to an NFC team to avoid his brother.
  17. Things got weird when he had Matt Patricia coaching offense and his OC coaching defense in 2022. That felt like he was experimenting in real time for no apparent benefit to the team. Was there ever an explanation for that? Maybe he finally outsmarted himself. It would be strangely abrupt for his career to end this way. I don't think he has the leverage to go in to a new team and negotiate control over personnel given his abysmal track record in the draft. I can more easily see him in Washington than Atlanta.
  18. it felt like he checked out emotionally when we were 6-6 and his brother was tweeting for him to leave.

  21. There's a difference between thinking this was a championship team versus this year was our best chance. I thought we could catch KC in a SB hangover year and that our real nemesis was Cincy. After Burrow went down, I thought things were starting to fall our way. When we slid to 6 - 6, I didn't think we'd make the playoffs. But as we chalked up wins to 11-6 it felt like we had momentum. Beating KC and Dallas gave us our bona fides. Now that I look back, did I really think Andy Reid would lose to us twice in one season? Probably not. Did I think we could beat the Ravens? Definitely not. Clappy coached some good performances out of the D but even at full strength our defense scares no one.
