  1. no... that's why I said rivers would have to redo his deal. losing dareus would leave a gaping hole in the middle of our defense. However QB is much more important so I can see both sides of the argument
  2. I would love to have rivers. I would offer whatever picks this year that they wanted along with a 1st next year. Rivers would have to redo his deal. Throw in one of the QBs for S&G. There is no way I give up dareus for a couple years of rivers.
  3. ctfu. I've been laughing uncontrollably at this for the last 20 mins.
  4. so what happens if we draft a qb sit him and let him develop and in a year or two he is tearing up the league? Then we have to read 95 threads how we passed on a franchise qb blah blah blah. If they think the qb has a chance to be good, take him. There is no guarantee the player we get in the second will start anyway.
  5. I was at that falcons game sitting in 100s just below the rockpile. There were tons of fights at that game. Crowd was odd. Some one stole my Hoodie when I went to the bathroom. Never saw a crowd like that one at a bills game. I sat in the rockpile at the Chiefs game last year. Crowd was very quiet. But like others have said when the action is in front of you its great but when it's on the other side I was watching on the scoreboards
  6. When he was hired I was just like OK he has been a scout for a long time and was assistant GM in San Diego where they had some phenomenal drafts. I liked his resume but wanted someone that would be here for the long haul, then we hired Whaley as his successor. Nix's first draft back wasn't the best. Troup over gronk. Smh. His second was better as Dareus, Williams and Searcy have turned into at least solid pros. 3rd was just as good with Gilmore, Glenn, Bradham, and Ron brooks(big stretch. decent role player) becoming solid at least. If Wilson was the pick instead of graham it may have been one of the all time great drafts in the nfl. The 4th is a toss up between Whaley and nix so we don't really know who'd draft it is but it was Damn good. Nix took a team with little talent and built the foundation for one of the best rosters in the NFL. He took a ton of cap but he did a pretty good job. Gronk and Wilson are my biggest problems with him but we are in a better place than we were before him.
  7. I'm confused on your JP hate. The pick we used to draft him we didn't have when Roethlisberger was picked as we traded up with Dallas later on. We did try to trade up to pick Roethlisberger but it never came to be(who knows if we offered our 2005 first but I can't see why we wouldn't as we gave it up later) Also Dallas selected Marcus spears with the pick we traded them. Aaron Rodgers ok.
  8. fair enough. But players try to get as much money as they can when they can because they know they won't be in the league long whether it's age or injury that keeps their career short. Players say all the time they want their money because they could get injured(a big reason why they hate the franchise tag) They know they can and will get injured, that it is a violent sport that is centered around knocking the snot out of the other guy. This is known by everyone. But people start boo hooing because someone got hurt in a violent game. Call me a bad person or "put me in the losers bracket" whatever that is or what ever you want. You set foot on the field you expect to get hit simple as that. They get paid very very well to play a VIOLENT sport and I'm not going to feel bad and cry because someone got injured or could have had ____ happen but didn't.
  9. as soon as the schedule came out I thought the NFL was screwing with us because of that study. 5 of 6 away.. damn
  10. what part was wrong or idiotic? The paid millions? Them knowing the risks? It's a collision sport. It's violent. If they aren't paid that much due to the risks than what are they paid that much for? Who am I? A guy that you're judging based on a message board? Really? if I knew how to post pics I could probably watch one quarter and show you some one looking around for a hit or to avoid being hit and that is after this became illegal
  11. doesn't bother me because it doesn't have anything to do with me. It was a legal hit. They get paid millions for the risk they take. They know the risk. I don't understand why it bothers you and why people get all butt hurt over things like this. Do you know him? Did it hurt you in some way?
  12. deals can be made on threesomes. Vegas baby. this is football not a night out at the opera. Don't want to get hit get off the field and onto a message board. Clifton should have been paying attention, He had been playing the game long enough to know this. Every coach I have ever come across has told his players keep your head on a swivel you never know where you will get hit from. Or play through the whistle.
  13. just pair him with incognito. I hear he is pretty good with loner 2nd round right tackles.
  14. didn't Taylor play against stevie in the god made me drop the football game? toward the end he would do this all the time. If the corner was anywhere near him he would give up and signal for a flag. Pissed me off because my brother studied him when he was a receiver and would also do this during his games. Go get the ball and the penalty won't matter
  15. I am still in disbelief over our coaching staff. My favorite coach over the last 15 years is our head coach. My favorite offensive coordinator over the last couple years (who I wouldn't have been mad if he were our head coach) is our OC. We have on paper one of the top 2-3 rosters in the entire league. Not to mention the sabres completed the tank. Thanks Mr and Mrs. Pegula.
