  1. I hope you're right. I will be thrilled and happy to eat crow. But my gut is telling me this kid is going to crash and burn. He just doesn't have the processing skills and decision-making a modern NFL quarterback needs.
  2. Yeah? I did and responded. Look, let's follow this team since 1963. I've seen this team bungle quarterback decisions for decades and decades. I thought this crew was going to be better and I'm highly disappointed in what they did last night. To me it feels like EJ all over again. They even use the same language to describe Allen as they did EJ back then -- even though it wasn't the same people. It's still the same rhetoric. I've watched this movie before. We burned a bunch of pics on a guy who's a long-term project. Sorry I'm utterly disappointed. There's not one review I've read of Allen, positive or negative, that even says he has a shot at being a starting quarterback in the near future. Most say he's got to learn the position. I was never more excited for a draft than I was for this one. I thought we had a front office under Brandon Beane, that was going to really put us on the right track for the first time in decades. I got to believe it was the owner who pulled the trigger on this.
  3. Think a little bigger than that my friend. They weren't the same people but they were paid experts who do it for a living. That was the point. So come on.
  4. I agree with you on Edmunds. What makes it hurtful is that we gave up the third round pick, the first pick in the third round after losing our entire second round. The mid rounds of this draft for supposed to be so strong and we're going to have to sit and watch the competition getting younger, faster and better. I just don't see the value in a long-term project like Josh Allen.
  5. The people who do this for a living also pick Maybin over Orakpo. Also picked Wittner over Ngata. They also picked EJ Manuel. And now they just picked the guy who is woefully inaccurate, has trouble reading defenses, who critics say has to learn to play quarterback in the NFL, and when he's blitzed his quarterback rating reduces by half. So yeah I'm not on board.
  6. Let's pretend we would have stayed at 21 picked up a great player and had two picks in the third period or let's pretend we didn't give away the entire second round to draft a project quarterback.
  7. There are plenty of busts over the years picked in the top 10 of the draft. I'm just saying I think we have another. He's done nothing in college to show that he's going to have success at this level. Nothing.
  8. By this you mean Pegula ordered them to do it?
  9. What I really want is for him to be gone have our two second round picks back. I would have taken any quarterback in the draft other than this guy.
  10. No chance, they burned all their capital last night. 5 premium picks in the first 3 rounds and we'll have a linebacker to show for it on opening day -- oh and a project quarterback.
  11. I'm torn. I believe this guy is going to be a huge bust. So maybe we should start him now, let him flame out so we can start the QB search process again without burning three to four years. Or do you play AJ and try to have some semblance of a good team for the next two years.
  12. Why? He wasn't good in college. He couldn't dominate the pathetic conference he played in. He has nothing in his career to show us that he's going to be any good. What the Hell were they thinking?
  13. Agree 100%. Last night I said this was a soul-crushing draft. All the talent we gave up, all the picks we compiled, for this? I said it before, we gave up 5 premium picks in the first 3 Rounds and an opening day will have one linebacker to show for it and the second coming of EJ Manuel. I'm disgusted.
  14. Ridiculous. This was the last choice they should have made. You could have stayed at 12 and picked this loser and we still would have a second-round to look forward to. Any other quarterback in this draft would have been my choice other than this guy. Total project, inaccurate, can't read a defense, what the hell! . We burned 5 premium picks last night and on opening day we will have one linebacker to show for it. Beane set this franchise back 5 years last night.
  15. Any draft that you pick Mel Kiper's favorite quarterback is a bad draft.
  16. Soul crushing night. All that draft capital giving away for an epic bust in the making. At least we got a good linebacker. Now we get to sit out for the rest of the draft and see all the good players we missed go by. They should have stayed at 12 they would have gotten this bust anyway. They should have stayed at 21 a good player would have come to him, instead we gave away the farm for what.
  17. Yep, and I thought he was smarter than this. This is about the lowest I've ever felt on draft night, and that includes Maybin and Erec Flowers.
  18. From my seat we just gave up five premier picks to get the second coming of EJ Manuel and a good linebacker. We gave away all this talent to get these pics and this is what we have to show for it. It's a bleak night.
  19. I think Beane just set this franchise back 5 years.
  20. We could have gotten that loser at 12 and kept both of our second round picks. This is a disaster day for me.
  21. This is ten times worse then what we did to get Sammy. I am just disgusted.
  22. This is ten times worse then what we did to get Sammy. I am just disgusted.
