Not depressed at all. This is exactly what I thought would happen this year, although I thought we might have a little better read on Josh. I was hoping he'd show Improvement on his passing accuracy. He's shown that he is a leader and tremendous athlete and he's showing some growth with his progressions and processing. But I still remain suspect about accuracy and ability to lead from the pocket. If they can manage to put some better pieces around him next year it should tell the tale. Let's just hope McBeane spends wisely.

I too am underwhelmed. From what I see he generally occupies one blocker, not two. He doesn't suck but I don't think he's worth the contract. That said I wouldn't blame the run game against the Patriots on him. The linebackers were just dreadful.

That was my next suggestion. I kid, but Edwards is not showing me anything in the middle. I don't think we can survive another season of him. OCs will just run right at him and he can't handle it. He bites too easily, takes bad angles and is always late. Some of it as being as young as he is but perhaps he just doesn't have the middle linebacker sensibilities. Let him use his speed and range to better use then trying to plug runs.

Any team with a smart OC that ran at Tremaine got plenty of yards on the ground. BB exposed that again today. Our run D is suspect because our DTs and LBs are suspect.

All true, but the kid played poorly overall. He was advertised as a work in progress and needed the most work of the rook QB class and that looks to be about right. A better line and weapons is a must, but he needs work regardless.

If I could have my pick of the four quarterbacks in the draft again I would still go Mayfield number 1. He clearly is the better quarterback at this point. I think he's got a huge upside. As far as the other 3, including Josh, I don't think I would change what happened in a draft. I like Josh's upside and the other 2 haven't even impressive, however those were two big time drives by Darnold Sunday.

He's making progress, however 8 of 19 completions is not sustainable. That said he made a couple of nice throws and hung in the pocket with eyes down field several times. All moves in the right direction. He's going to have some bad games, we have to be patient
