That's a similar to the narrative we heard last off season. We have a D line with nobody near elite, and it shows. Addison will be 34 this season and Jerry is another year older. I'm not expecting more from them this year then last. All in all, this is not the D line you'd want in a SB window. I don't see any combination of 4 on this roster that can regularly pressure a QB. They will need to bring heat, which good QBs take advantage of. Hopefully with Star back we will fare a bit better against the run, but I forsee a lot of white knuckle 4th quarters again this year when we can't get a needed stop.

I have to disagree Yolo. I don't think Josh will regress, my main point is the D. I really believe our DL is not of SB caliber. Star returning may help isn't going be the missing link. Giod teams run all over us and we can't get off the field on 3rd and long against good QBs. Pinning hopes on Obada sounds like us pinning hopes on Jefferson and Addison last year. It's not a stellar draft for edge, especially picking at 30. We won a lot of white knucle games last year (thanks to Josh) after our D couldn't close a game out. I still hold out hope Beane signs a legit run stuffer 1 tech and we do better than last year with our pass rush by comittee. But in my gut I feel we'll have to continually blitz to get pressure and TEs will feast on 3rd down and move chains. I hope to be wrong.

D line hasn't improved. It will be our Achilles heel. Against good teams we will continue to get pushed all over the field in the run game and routinely give up 3rd and long while our rush can't get it done.

It's an NFL executive commenting on the Bills' offseason. “They have to fix their defensive line, they have not done that, and this is a bad D-line draft,” an exec said. “If Josh Allen takes another step, it might not matter, but if he regresses, Buffalo is a team that could suddenly miss the playoffs.”

I don't know if Milano is worth the coin or not. I just know this D is not good enough the win it all, and it hasn't improved. And I'm not alone in this. Well just as being paranoid doesn't mean that somebody isn't after you, Scott is naturally negative, but he's not always wrong.

When they stop giving up gobs of yards on the ground, get bullied by good O Lines, actually cover a TE and get off the field on 3 and 15, I will say they have improved. It's not a SB defense and we haven't done anything to date to improve it. Gettng one rotational DT back is not going to fix this D.

I grew up with the Eyewitness news team. Azar was tops. I know the Carballada family, great people. Sad day.

I often throw in 5Tech in sentences as well. Then start to add in offense formations, even when I'm by myself. Can't get enough of it.

Why take the chance? Sanders stop and go and wiggle creates instant separation. Smoke was more of a full speed all the time guy. He's going to be an upgrade.

Yep. That's the one. Jeebus, I had to look at that for a while to take it all in. For not a big guy Sanders is rugged, much like Diggs and Beasley. You can't sit in cover 2 and rough up our wide outs anymore.

The Sanders/ Brown comparison charts are eye-opening. If he still has his wheels, he is going to make this already potent offense a beast to defend.

Not improving our edge rush and 1 tech DT is going to prove to be a major miss this season. Remember it when we can't get off the field on 3rd and 15 and give up 8 to 10 yard runs regularly.
