  1. This is on Beane. Pays a lot for midling talent and only Josh and Cook are bonafide threats. Refuses to draft or acquire speed at wideout and has mini-me LBs that cannot take a 17 game pounding. Our secondary is dreadfully slow. The D line is always clise but seldom finishes. Let's see what retreads he comes up with in the bye week. So, who can this team beat? All the teams we beat had a losing record. Any team with a few wins, we lose.
  2. Well you don't have either. No #1 seed and a flawed team chasing the Pats in the AFCE.
  3. D is awful. No receiver that creates separation. Brady's bone head calls and face it, Josh was awful. Bad day for the MVP.
  4. Remember when we talked about the #1 seed? What a joke.
  5. Perpetually injured. Time to go. The mini-me LBs era needs to be over with.
  6. Agree. We basically play a prevent defense, continually 12 yards off the receivers, we give up easy underneath yardage because our DBs are too slow and the pass rush seldom gets home. The D is based on making other teams drive the field and hope they make a mistake. And it works, if the O puts up 30+ points a game. Issue is, great teams with great QBs that we meet in the playoffs will chew up that D. This Defense makes every game, regardless of the quality of the opponent, a white knuckle game in the 4th quarter.
  7. Win is a win. But this D is just the same as last year's D. Can't get off the field on 3rd and long and can't get the QB on the ground. Our DBs are slow and D line just can't get home. Groot disappeared. Bosa and Walker balled. Finally, thank God for Bernard!
  8. I realize it's just pre-season game one, but I was disappointed nobody with the ones or twos got home. Where I am at on the D is show me. Just get off the field on 3rd and long actually put the QB on the turf. Haven't seen it for several seasons and didn't against the Giants. And while hope springs eternal, hope alone is a bad strategy. Let's see if the latest effort to address the D line actually works. It's show us time.
  9. Ditto. Looks like the same D to me. Not a lot of pressure and giving up 3rd and long. Watching the Jets D line now and they are pushing Green Bay all over the field. I expected more pressure from our revamped D line.
  10. He was explaining in the huddle about Galileo proving heavier things do not fall any faster than lighter things. It was brilliant.
  11. Solid. I am in Rochester and it was a kick to see it. The best was Josh talking Galileo.
  12. Put him into that machine that they used on Steve Rogers.
  13. I know. Really there's only about 20 or so. 🙂
  14. Agree Pats pass Fish this year.
  15. Trade down at this point
  16. So it was a massive post blunder?
  17. So? It's moot. No way would Cinc trade him to a team they have to beat out in the conference.
  18. He just needs gentle coaching: Instead of "shut up and play," say "Keon, what are some ways you can think of to have Mr. Allen throw you the ball more often." Instead of "man up," say "Keon, how do some of the other players perform after they suffer injuries? Is there a lesson in there we can think about? Instead of "pull yourself up by your bootstraps," say "Keon, what are some ways to ensure our boots stay on our feet better?" Instead of shouting, raise your words, not your voice. After all, it's the rain that grows flowers and not the thunder. And so on. I think it's the coaching technique of the future.
  19. Shite, I remember that day like it was yesterday.
  20. I'd like to push back on this, but I can't. The results are what they are. These are huge misses and why our D is so lacking elite players.
