He made one horrendous call, which, unfortunately has branded him...similar to wrong way Marshall's bad moment. If you examine the body of work though, a different conclusion would be drawn. A man should not be judged harshly for one bad day, unless of course it's O.J.

important question (sorry moderators)
Glory Bound replied to richNjoisy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I say we all call Duff's and ask them if they could find it in their hearts to do Rich N Joisy a special favor and open for him on July 4th. -
Hey McK...read your post several times, wondering if I am reading it wrong. We ditched the blue pants, so you can remove your asterisk. Here's a great video by Mark Gaughan going thru the history of our unis to present day. http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/bills-nfl/article467342.ece I know I am in the minority here, but I am gonna miss the red helmets.

Chadwick Pennington to work as Fox announcer
Glory Bound replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He often threw floaters called hanging Chads -
If your idea of being blessed by God involves a good football team, you might be a Bills fan

Hey McK...check out this video...it will change your mind. Sorry, but you're floatin' down that river in Egypt, as I did for 5 yrs. >> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPhONc6xC48 If, when seeing the number 13, you think of the number of times the Pats have beaten the Bills in a row, you might be a Bills fan

For those griping about us not drafting a QB...
Glory Bound replied to Buffalo Beeeews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I happen to think that Dalton to Green will eventually be a hot ticket... & we could have had both. Not saying we should have taken Green (Dareus was my pick)...just stating what everybody already knows. I wouldn't have minded though if we would have picked Dalton. I think the kid just might have "it". I think the QB's in this draft will fair better than the OP thinks. -
Fisher had to climb Kilamanjaro to get out from under VY's shadow. Haven't we had enuf children lately?

Great interview! He sounds like a great guy. Gonna be fun to watch him...wish he was just a tad faster though. Thanks for posting that. -
If you believe this, an NFL player took out a $500K loan

It would be tough, but I think I could squeak by...if I quit spending so dang much on lottery tickets. -
And the prize for posting twenty thousand times in this forum is... (drumroll please)........... a life! (sorry KD...couldn't resist). Concerning the Donald...he's smart. In fact...a genius! The trouble with all other NFL owners is they're just not smart. It takes somebody smart to run an NFL franchise...& it would take somebody smart to save the Buffalo Bills! He doesn't want to save the Bills...but he just might have to, 'cause it would take a genius...a smart man. If somebody richer & smarter came along, he wouldn't have to...but who's smart enough? He's also rich...cause he's smart! (Sorry guys...I've been listening too much to him lately...He chose not to save our country...maybe he can save our beloved Bills)

That seems like a very high percentage. Can you support this claim with any links? -

I am 57 yrs old & would love to retire. If I acquired one million dollars tomorrow, I would have to think long & hard about retiring. It would require much thought & planning...long discussions with my wife, crunching numbers, talks about our lifestyle, etc. If, on the other hand, I acquired one billion dollars tomorrow, there would be no thought & no discussions with anyone except maybe a financial advisor. Retirement would be instantaneous. I see your point. In fact, I touched on it as well. I just don't think the owners are sitting around stewing about money, where most of the players have to be thinking about it by now. This has to give the owners the advantage. -

Although Rush Limbaugh is not one of my favorite people, I happen to agree with him on his prediction that the owners would win this labor dispute. Why? He said it's because it basically comes down to billionaires vs. millionaires, & the billionaires will be able to hold out longer. As more & more players run out of money & have to get high interest loans, they will start to crack. If I was a banker, I wouldn't give any of them a cheap loan. Most of them are careless with money...they have fancy cars & expensive houses, & there's no guarantee this will be settled soon. I wonder how many heeded the warning to save their $$$ leading up to this mess? -
This will be resolved in July or August...probably August, & by late evening on Sept 8th everybody will have forgotten all about it.

What part of that game do you deem a mistake? The call, the fact that we weren't prepared for a trick play, starting RJ...or something else?

"Round peg in a sqare hole". Chan, isn't it square peg in a round hole? Could this be our problem... we've got the wrong holes? -
I guess it wasn't just me...that Theismann was one of the most annoying humans on TV...scratch that...make that planet Earth! Loved the games...hated listening to that crew! Papa needs to go too! Making this insinuation without even knowing Ralph Wislon or having any facts whatsoever to support his theory is journalism at its worst. The guy must have been drunk when he wrote that piece of crap article.

Jamarcus Russel's life coach: says "I give up!"
Glory Bound replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks for filling me in about Mr. Lucas, but I wasn't really being serious. Just thought of the irony of a life coach quitting. And c'mon...Don't you know WEO is always right? He's a perfect human being...even when he kicks his dog the dang critter deserves it! -
Jamarcus Russel's life coach: says "I give up!"
Glory Bound replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe if Russell's life coach could hang in there a bit, he could teach him how to become rich & retire early. Oh wait.... I know one thing, if I had a cool 31 mil & someone wanted to be my life coach, I would tell him to kiss off. Furthermore, it appears the life coach is a quitter. I think the life coach needs a life coach. -

I don't remember Mayock saying that...not to doubt the accuracy of your quote...he probably did say that, but I also remember Mayock stating before the draft that year that he wouldn't touch Russell if he was an owner because he felt he didn't have the commitment to the game, which turned out spot on. If you piece all that together, he was saying: potential, yes...commitment no...so stay away from this guy. I don't think anybody could argue that summary.
