  1. I agree...add Lovie Smith to that list too. These men have proven you can build a winning team in a classy & dignified way. I don't feel however, that this guy should lose his job. He seems sincere in his regret & deserves another chance.
  2. Man, I still have a pair exactly like this that I got like maybe 20 yrs ago or more! They were a gift from parents...I'm sure they didn't pay anywhere near forty bucks for them though!
  3. Question: Is there football on your planet?
  4. Reason # 16: Flutie has not lifted his curse.
  5. Man, you are so correct! I was hoping for 4 & 2 at the BYE...prepared for losses against NE & Philly, while hoping to win the rest. The only shoe-in I saw was the Bungals, who are looking quite tough these days. So many surprises around the league this year. I guess that's why they play the games.
  6. What I like the most is his speedy decisions & quick release. He knows where his receivers are & the ball is outta there...BAM. Consequently, he's not taking a lot of sacks. In Buffalo, this is such a breath of fresh air! How many QB's did we agonize over for hanging on to the ball too long?
  7. I am trying to figure this out, and I can't. I think you're gonna need professional help.
  8. Then it's obvious what she was up to...she heard all the rumors about Marsha & wanted to see how real men are made!
  9. Who ya gonna believe...our beloved friends on this board, or your own eyes?
  10. It's sad, but there's a handful of players in the league that have been so obnoxious thoughout their career, that when something bad happens to them on the field, there's a weird satisfaction that comes over you. I remember a couple years ago when we played the Bengals & Ocho was pushed hard out of bounds& smacked his head on the turf & was knocked dingy. I couldn't help but to laugh...same feeling yesterday when he dropped that perfectly thrown ball.
  11. I agree. The new rule which I hated until now...reviewing every TD...worked to our favor. I think it was Kelso who said something to the effect that you didn't want to give the ball back to Brady with a minute forty left. I looked at my wife & said, "Heck...with not even 40 seconds left". It was great indeed to see the Pats Panicking & helpless!! I LOVED the ending!
  12. Matty, you could write the most thought-out, intelligent piece & I guarantee you someone on this board will disagree & bash you. Don't take it personal...no one knows who you really are. Your opinion is valued & welcome to the board! I look forward to reading more of your posts. Please hang around.
  13. I will be watching on my laptop while at work. I had a dream we won 50 to 48 in a wild one. We were ahead by a couple TD's & thought we had the came in hand, but then Brady did his thing at the end & almost pulled it off, but we stopped them right at the end to secure the victory in a real nail biter. The dream was so real I had to post it.
  14. Great interview! Thanks for posting! Three things jump out at me. (1) That on draft day day Nelson would receive calls that he was being drafted, but then wasn't. For cryin' out loud, they need to stop screwing with these kids heads. Either draft them, or don't..& stop this cruel deception game. (2) That Chan didn't operate like that, & twice Nelson called him a man of his word, & (3) It's obvious to me that this team thinks very highly of Fred Jackson...& that he has emerged as a leader of this team.
  15. I dunno 'bout that...I heard he's a little busy this week.
  16. haha...me too buddy. 15 in a row...this putrid streak ends Sunday!
  17. I think we'll do it Dork...top 5 next week. What say you?
  18. That's awesome! What else are we #1 in? Fitz has to be near the top in QB rating. Freddie's gotta be there too. Could one of you statmasters fill us in please
  19. Freaken awesome!
  20. Agreed. It's human nature when you don't do so well at something to blame other people & other things. Mature people look in the mirror & take responsibility.
  21. I just found this on Wikipedia: Pat McInally of Harvard is the only football player to record a confirmed perfect score of 50. Boston College graduate Mike Mamula reportedly scored 49. Ryan Fitzpatrick, also a Harvard graduate and currently a quarterback with the Buffalo Bills, scored 48 in nine minutes So I was off by one point...my apologies for not studying that out before posting
  22. I'm going with Fitzwilly..from the 1967 movie with Dick Van Dyke. It refers to the nickname of Claude Fitzwilliam, an unusually intelligent and highly educated mastermind. That's our Fitz! 47 on the Wonderlic! He sure was the mastermind against the Chiefs! Fitzwilly the mastermind - BAM!
  23. This will change when we're 3 & 0 ! My fave is Fitzwilly
  24. Hey...easy on me! I really liked what the two of you said...honest! My fave non-football related posts of the day!
  25. You must to have such a hot chick with big knockers
