With Fitz as our #1, & the wise acquisition of Smith, combined with the fact that we actually drafted Brown & he's received positive words from Nix & Gailey, why would we even want four QB's? I say there's a good chance Thiggy will get a pink slip.

Yes, & common sense and reason, along with recent history, etc., it was logical for an objective person to conclude that the Saints would handily defeat the Hawks in the playoffs last year. One of the talking heads on nfl network (Could have been Jamie Dukes) was effusive with his praise of the Lions a few days ago... so much so that it piqued my interest. Think I'll watch that game. One of the other posters is correct...the first half of game 3 of preseason is as close to real bullets as we're gonna get. For them to manhandle the Patsies is quite a story line.

I respect your respect for the man - but to say the team doesn't have many soldiers is not what I witnessed yesterday. I saw a scrappy bunch of guys fighting for jobs & a victory. That comment was a slap in the face & degrading to their character. And I don't know about you, but I am not smelling "chaos in the air" today. And to imply a coaching change at this juncture is simply a ridiculous comment. At the very least, he should have told the sports editor not to run the story until after he reviewed the game.
