Philly deadline to get under the cap: Nick Foles
dpberr replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Imo, the Eagles aren't trading their opening day starter. There's no guarantee Wentz will be ready and I think the alleged "confidence" in Sudfeld is fanboy rationalization in support of getting Foles. -
Are we ramping up to war with North Korea?
dpberr replied to dpberr's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I think NK's intentions are authentic. They will show up and talk and it'll go better than most think it will. Love him or hate him, Trump has managed to do something both Bushes, Clinton and Obama couldn't and he may be more strategic than he appears. Is it possible he's the right man for the times? I think NK is being *significantly* pushed by the Chinese for the first time - as their olive branch to the United States to avert a trade war they'd definitely lose and one that'd have significant consequences for their fragile economy. (It's even more fragile than ours.) -
Give me the guy with the highest completion percentage that's north of 60%.

Who's your "plate of crow" in the draft?
dpberr replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Josh Allen is a howitzer with a cheaply made Eastern European fire control system installed. Sure, he can throw a football for a mile but there's a less than 60% chance it's going to land where you want it to. After 3 plus years, Stephenson will be an elite pass rusher and Chubb will be a good one. -
Jericho. This was a show that ran on CBS a decade ago with an interesting mix of political intrigue and apocalyptic drama. The show had good writers and above par actors and actresses. I think CBS was and continues to be a weak-kneed, network run by insurance agents - blissfully happy to run numerous copies of generic procedurals and situational comedies that don't cause any trouble or require any deep thinking. Rubicon. This was a show that ran for a single season on AMC in 2010. This show, too had a complex conspiracy storyline full of double crosses and "not who they appear to bes." The show, IMO, was getting better, crisper and cutting it off after one season never flushed out what happened in the finale.

You're the GM, what do you offer Kyle Williams
dpberr replied to elltrain22's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This answer depends on how you felt seeing: Bruce Smith and Andre Reed in Redskins uniforms and Thurman Thomas in a Dolphins uniform. If those images made you cringe or physically feel ill, you have your answer as a fan. -
WR Tavon Austin Set to Be Traded or Released

Austin is an example of great athlete first, ok football player second. -
What crazy draft action would create the biggest stir?
dpberr replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
IMO, the Colts picking a QB that high would be quite "stiry." -
He's done. He's already made up his mind. They (Pats) might cajole another year out of him, but I think that's the ceiling.

Rosen. Ive hired many people in my career and if there's one thing I can spot with pretty good accuracy is a quitters mentality in someone's personality. He's got it. Once the struggle becomes real, he's in full meltdown.

Anonymous QB Scouts' Takes on the Draft Class
dpberr replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can't teach attitude and can't teach accuracy. I don't have the details like some of you guys got but I think spending a lot of capital on a QB who can't complete 60%+ in college or who have reputations for being "brats" isnt ideal. -
What is better, no guns, or more guns?
dpberr replied to Security's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I'm a gun owner and an NRA member. I'm all for expanded background checks that'd include information on PFAs and involuntary commitments due to c&pd. I'm also supportive of a minimum 21 years of age to buy any firearm and every transaction gets a check, no matter what. None of those things restricts a law abiding citizen, a phrase often commonly used, from buying all the guns we'd like. What the NRA is doing isn't working. What the anti-gun folks are doing isn't working either. While they fight, the dangerously ill plot and wait for their moment. -
Rumor: Shady on the Trade Block
dpberr replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wish this board would have its own Terry Tate that would visit the homes or offices where these crap speculation threads get started. This would end such threads. -

What the Bills can take from Philadelphia
dpberr replied to Buffalo716's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You can't play conservative football and hope to beat the Patriots. It's why the Dolphins won that MNF game and why the Eagles won tonight I admire Pederson because he rarely plays it safe. -
Who was the best QB of the drought?

Taylor. He ended it. -
[POLL] Are you going to watch the Super Bowl?
dpberr replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Will Justin Timberlake only do his SNL songs with Andy Samberg? He's got at least three, maybe four that he could roll out. Arguably his best work. Don't thank me NFL for boosting your halftime show ratings with my idea. -
