  1. To those who continue to support Tyrod as the current (or future or both) answer to the QB equation, if we took away his running ability and elusiveness - which I don't think anyone could say isn't elite at the QB level - would you still maintain your current opinion? And I'm not trying to be dismissive, or condescending, I'm simply asking if we isolated what is the traditional (and usually the long-term) model of QB success does he still meet your standard? Honest question for discussion, not setting anyone up for a slam or anything, I really want to know. (Also, I know that's a huge part that makes him unique, but that's not the point of the question, thanks)
  2. Yeah, I did know that, but was being sarcastic for all the previous posts that essentially said, " He sucks monkey balls, don't ever pick him up!!", from arm chair GMs. My lame attempt at sarcasm....lol However, we're not far from it with EJ Gaines out and it didn't make sense to me at the time why they wouldn't take that risk considering the aforementioned Seaster close to seeing live action.
  3. Seahawks don't know anything about Cornerbacks....so he must be terrible.
  4. Even in this picture, I can hear Tyrod's thoughts: "Ok, so I know I'm supposed to be handing the ball off to somebody...what the hell are you doing way over there? Wait, a pass? On 1st down?!! No f-ing way! Can I....." followed by the thud.
  5. Don't need to apologize....even when he WAS playing, he wasn't making that much of a difference. To me, the issue is not the absence of Dareus, it is the LBers missing their assignments, missed tackles, and the DTs not getting the push they were getting.
  6. Sticking with Tyord, sticking it to the fans
  7. My bad - apologies, I should have read more carefully. Thanks.
  8. I am getting real....Peterman has much of what it takes to be a good QB in the NFL, but you don't know if he has the truest of chops to do it. You only find out if you let him play. I'm not sure why you say, "get real"....there are two high quality QBs playing who were Drafted in the 4th round, one famous 6th round QB, a 7th who started the year on fire for Denver, Romo who was Undrafted, Taylor was a 6th round pick, and a number of others who've done well that were mid-round picks. In other words, YES, how Peterman plays should determine where they Draft another QB. I'm not saying they shouldn't Draft one, I'm saying signing a good Vet and then Drafting one after the 3rd round would make sense IF they believed Peterman could be the solution.
  9. Which is WHY, IMO, they should start him for the rest of the year. Find out what you've got BEFORE you get to the FA and Draft.
  10. First, Beane and his staff weren't here for the Draft. Second, there is absolutely NO way to tell after half a season whether the remaining parts of the Draft are any "good". Zay had his breakout game and then due to a cheap shot got injured, then Milano came on like gang busters only to be sidelined for some unknown reason and Dawkins has been a Rookie - up and down - and that's not including what they've done by obtaining some players, obtaining more Draft picks and losing a guy like Sammy who by his own admission was not a team first kind of player. Beane and his assembled team deserve actually two or even three full off-seasons, but goodness we can't even give them ONE? McD probably had the heaviest hand in Drafting Tre and trading back with KC to obtain more Draft capital for this year, knowing what road lied ahead, but he's a HC, not a personnel guy per se....
  11. One more reason why I'd like to see Peterman start, so they can truly evaluate what is or isn't there in a QB that has shown signs of promise before spending a 1st or two 1sts or a 2nd on a QB when they absolutely NEED O-line and D-line help, and LBers, and two Corners and a great RB to send Shady off into the sunset...there's FA too, and while Doug was terrible at the Draft for the most part, he did do well with getting pro personnel in here to really help out. Let's see them do that, and they did get a good player in Gaines, but he's been injured and his difference has been seen in his absence, and Matthews is a good WR but you need a decent QB to throw to him, and so depth and key positions are big reasons to watch the 2018 off-season as to how they'll attack those concerns.
  12. Completely agree. I am disappointed and frustrated by the outcome of the last two games, and by....ok, I promise not to go down that road (wooooo-saaaa)....but I digress. We, as fans and supporters of the team, NEED and MUST give this new HC and FO time to put their mark and make all the changes they think are necessary. It won't happen in 1 year, even though it was great to ride that train for a month. Beane wasn't even HERE until AFTER the FA and Draft and made improvements through Matthews and Gaines and getting Sammy (me first) out of the locker room and getting more Draft capital to use to re-build the team. I did like Robert Woods a lot, even before his new found success, but I also understood or believed they wouldn't be winning much this year and that it was a "reboot" or rebuild year and he deserved to be with a true NFL QB and a team on the rise after spending some of his good years here with this mess.... I like the way things are trending and I still believe McD and Beane and their staff are heading in the right direction, we just need to be patient (to an extent) and see how they build the roster next off-season and then perform on the field.
  13. No, you're wrong. Sorry. Check the full game box score. Nate scored on his second and final possession.
  14. Here is some info: 13 316 477 66.2 3,793 29 5 13 185 306 60.5 2,855 27 7 One of the above lines is Dak Prescott's, the other is Nate Peterman's from their final years' in college....do you know which is which? Btw, Nate's completion percentage in his junior year...61.7%, so not sure where the 50% completion rate is coming from, unless you mean pre-season.
  15. Um, on a couple of occasions you're right....but otherwise you may have missed the Benjamin throw on the boundary, his first completion on the boundary and those are just two I can recall immediately.
  16. wtf...? seriously? This man lost his baby literally hours before the game, still played and remained focused enough to be effective, and THIS is what you go with? Could you possibly put the political / social issue aside for even one moment to recognize the agony of the soul of losing a child in such a horrible way. His wife had to give birth to a DEAD CHILD!! Can you even fathom such a tragedy? If not, please refrain from pointing out your political / social opinion in just this ONE forum related to such a horrendous loss. As Bills fans, sometimes we forget the humanity behind the game and something like this reminds us that as passionate as we all are about wanting to see this team win and revel in their glory of winning, we lose sight of what matters most....I don't know you, but I hope in real life, not behind some keyboard you're better than this.... To Goodwin and his family, I may not have thought you played well while in Buffalo, but football is peanuts compared to the spirit crushing loss that is your own right now...in truest sincerity, I hope his family can grieve and recover as they process the permanent absence of the son they will never hold or know.
  17. If Peterman comes in when score is close in the Chargers game, that will be a better barometer of where he is to this point. I do NOT discount what he did yesterday since I am ALL for giving him a chance to start and play the rest of the year, since next year is basically decision year in the Draft for a QB. To me, they need to know and it's a big gamble, whether Peterman is their guy or not....because if they have somehow pulled off a Dak or Cousins (yeah, no Brady comparisons) coup by getting Peterman in the 5th, then they do NOT want to spend one or most likely 2 1st Round picks on a QB. IMHO, it makes most sense to let Tyrod play the Chargers game, and as soon as it seems he can't get it going, let Peterman come in and play and see how he does. But, I can also argue to start him from here on out....either way, as I've been banging the same drum since mid-year of TT's first year with the Bills, to me his is not a legit NFL QB. He is one hell of an athlete and truly gifted in many ways, seems like a good guy and hard worker, but none of those things without the aforementioned QBing ability in the NFL, makes you a good to great QB.
  18. Or changing gynos before we're pregnant?
  19. To your second point, I’m coming around to a similar opinion but do wish they would start Peterman just so the Bills know or have some idea what they have before the Draft.
  20. I noticed that myself. I remember reading Rico wasn’t allowing him to audible, which struck me as strange given its importance in the game. But now, with Peterman doing it shortly after arriving in NFL, makes me think it’s unique to Tyrod, as in “his issue”.
  21. Saints Defense has been much improved and Brees is still going to Brees you, while Kamara is the real deal - not to mention Ingram is no slouch. So, in some ways the Saints this year are in a better position based on improved strengths. IF and that's a huge a*s IF - the Bills can play the way they have in all of the games EXCEPT the last one, they really *can* win this game. But it will take the kind of focus and team mentality committed to fundamentals like they had to begin the year and in the Oakland win. Otherwise, buses will be leaving at halftime...
  22. Of course, now he'll become an All-Pro, go to three Super Bowls and be enshrined into the Hall of Fame, because - ya know....the Bills.
  23. The NFC North will be a fun set of games to watch! I'm sick of seeing the Jaguars year after year...ugh, those games are rarely fun to watch. And, to make matters worse, they're getting better, a lot better. As for setting up "nicely" for the Bills, I'm not sure if that's meant to insinuate that it should be an easier schedule, and if so - I disagree just on what I've seen so far. The Packer game could be a Sunday / Monday night game if the Bills finish strong since them, the Giants, Cowboys and Pats are darlings of prime-time. However, I loathe the idea of playing the Pats on a Thursday and given that the Bills have played Jets and Dolphins on a Thursday game, Bills will be scheduled to play the Pats on a Thursday after they play a Monday night game on the West Coast and the Pats had a bye week to prepare.....ugh. Anyways, Bears at home and Lions at home will be fun to watch.
  24. Yes, that's exactly what I'm telling you. You mentioned a 2nd, in that case presuming he's healthy, and considering the Bills have 2, sure...don't like it, but I could live with it based on risk-reward. However, I can Draft a QB like Mayfield or Finley, and coach and develop them, and have all the other things I mentioned in this discussion several posts ago. So, for ME, and I'm only speaking for ME, that's what I'd do...I take the younger, more malleable, less damaged product and build a winner around him with all my Draft capital and FA money for 2018. I make him like a sort of Dak, in that I build the Offensive line, grab a great RB in 2nd or 3rd round, and allow him to develop without the risk of the unknown injury or age involved.
