talk about an over reaction lol. "A Team that laid an egg at home on opening day". Laid an egg? They were leading the game for 3 quarters. Did they miss a bunch of opportunities? Oh absolutely. Their o-line stunk against the best front 7 in football, and that was not great to see. Our offense doesnt match up well with the Steelers, and hasnt for three straight tries now. The difference in this game last sunday was the bounces and calls and big play (blocked punt) went the Steelers way instead of ours...but thats the game of football. Pump the brakes on your dire straits act bud. This is a fantastically loaded football team. I fully expect them to win Sunday (steelers game was 50/50 for me) and remain in the drivers seat for the division and one of the top two seeds in the AFC. *Also, your 0-2 teams only having 12% chance doesnt account for the fact that teams play an extra regular season game this year for the first time. Take a deep breath.

yes that is correct. So your saying you suspect the plan was to cut him THIS offseason (Before this season), but now they have to wait until next offseason....ok I get that. And yes that has been widely suspected based on the structure of his deal. I would imagine he will take a paycut if he wants to stay with us. He only makes like 6 million against the cap this year (which would have been last year) but it goes up for next season. None of that is related to his impact on the game though. We just cannot afford to pay big money to him with our roster makeup. opt out didnt kill their plan, it just kicked it down the road a year, which im sure they are grateful for now. We get an impactful Star at a decent cost for a super bowl run

Agreed, Im not interested in that either. Thats why I originally just said "it is what it is" and pointed out that he has never missed a game as a Bill until Sunday. Star isnt even a top 30 paid DT in the NFL. In fact, Vernon Butler makes more money than he does this season. He is a workhorse of a DT who eats up blockers and frees up his fellow linemen and linebackers to make plays, as that is his role in McD's defense. The hate this dude gets by some of our fan base (NOT everyone as you say above) is shameful.

I don't see his vaccination status being related to taking a year off due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID. It is possible to not want to catch covid but also not being sold on the effects of the vaccine. Also, "Catching covid" was not the only reason for players sitting last year out.

IMO, you cant count COVID year as him not being dependable. He made a health/business decision, that was what it was. He is missing his first ever game as a Bill on Sunday. otherwise he has started in every game that hes been on the roster. That is THE DEFINITION of dependable.

this is his first missed game as a bill. He didnt miss a game in 18 or 19. I think its a fantastic use of a roster spot.

I get where your coming from. I would just say the counter argument is that the staff identified a player already on the roster that they think is ready for that position from day 1 (of this season). Guess we will see how it works out in like 50 hours.

Harry is the replacement for Star, also why he beefed up this offseason. That is the plan. Hoping his new body is up to the challenge.

this is accurate. They did go to the tier system, and this is the most expensive game, along with the patriots game.

I didnt have a preference in round 1, but I def. want this kid in round 2. Doubt he will be there though, and itll take too much to move up 10plus spots to get him

They already know their status, look at the injury report. McD doesnt comment on injuries further than that, you should know this by now. We will know if they practice or not today.
