Week 15: Dolphins at Bills on Saturday Night Football
PaattMaann replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
there are A LOT of crying B****** in that twitter thread lol. Who cares??? Both teams play in it! Any advantage whatsoever is obviously slanted towards the Bills. We actually HAVE a run game, the dolphins literally do not. We can stop the run, the dolphins can not. We have a QB who is built for the elements, theirs is NOT. Our offense is adaptable and can win many ways, theirs is reliant on timing and speed which will not be helped by this weather. We have one of the best special teams units in the league, they have one of the worst. This has Bills ROLL all over it if it comes down to the elements. -
also, the venom in this thread, and in this fanbase in general, for a coordinator whose unit has finished top 10 or better in every season he's been here is WILD

I don’t love two TEs vs a defense built to thump, personally. I’d rather spread them out so they can’t.

RB chip and go out into the flats, motion RB out of backfield pre snap and get him in space on one of their 260 pound slow LBs...some good options there. We will see what they do tomorrow!

4 and especially 5 wide limits blitzing possibilities/where free rushers can come from. This is a major reason colleges use spread offenses, to help QBs. 5 offensive linemen and three or four down linemen on D doesn't necessarily leave anyone on an island with Judon. In fact I would expect them to have 2 men dedicated to him a lot, regardless of formation. 4 Wide also leaves the RB in to help chip on Judon/1 on 1 pass rusher.

Disagree, it takes away pass rushers and/or allows Josh to better see where the pressure is coming from. Also allows more weapons in space for him to identify and quickly get the ball to. Im willing to bet we see a decent amount of spread offense. We will see tomorrow night.

I hope to see more 4/5 wide to be honest. Spread em out and use speed. Josh is great in the pocket, he can step up/around pressure. Definitely some TE/RB chips to slow down the pass rush some, and some PA, but mostly I want to see a spread offense and Josh getting the ball out.

I hope we don't punt to them for obvious reasons, but IF we do have to punt, I hope we punt it out of bounds and away from Marcus Jones. I also expect this to be a week that we choose to kick off for touchbacks instead of giving him a chance to return it / pin them down inside in the 20.

this is literally not any new information lol. Of course this game was always going to be either saturday or sunday night

on that particular play I would agree with you. However the larger issue we are seeing on offense is they haven't really practiced as a full unit in a month (until this week) due to injuries and the storm/travel/short week.

You can SAY what you want, but the advanced metrics simply don't support that argument. Yes they throw a screen pass 15% of the time, but he's also top 10 in deep ball completion percentage. As the numbers say, when given time and kept clean hes gonna find open guys and LIKES to push it downfield. I don't think hes a world beater by any means, average at best, but the numbers this year suggest progress. Couldn't agree more. I wanna see a lot of Cook and Hines this week.

Mac Jones ranks as very good when not under pressure. His completion percentage, QB rating, long ball/depth of target all rank him in the top half of the leagues QBs. When he is under pressure (either via blitz or just 4 man rush) he crumbles hard and is at the very bottom of the league in all of the above. The recipe for "solving" Mac is simple...get pressure. That works against all QBs, but this case is drastic. So I would say Mac has improved, when kept clean and has time. Just gotta get pressure.

actual practice reps will help them develop chemistry, something they havent had in a month

this is from yesterday...wondering how he looks today. Looked to tread gingerly on it in this video.
