  1. LT - Dawkins LG - Bates C - Morse RG - Schmitz RT - Darnell Wright or Spencer Brown (whomever wins the job in camp) In this scenario we probably have to move up in the second round or somehow move back in the first to get 2 early second rounders. But hopefully the draft falls just right and we get both without doing anything or even better moving back a little in the first and picking up and extra draft pick or 2 for other holes. When Morse retires we have his replacement in Schmitz and worst case scenario for Wright or Brown is the loser could slide into RG or be the swing tackle. I’m not a fan of paying a lot of money for retread o lineman whose original teams didn’t want to pay for and who most of the time are overpaid for less production on their new teams deals. If we’re going after a free agent position I say first sign Lavonte David for a cheaper 1-2 year deal (he’s getting old but still so smart and good) and then trade a 3rd rounder for Deandre Hopkins. We know that would instantly make our offense insane. If Hopkins can’t be had for that then sign OBJ or Michael Thomas to a one year prove it deal because they would ball out with Josh at the helm and with the incentive of proving they’re not has-beens so they can get that final big contract from some other team. Now that Josh is protected for years to come, next year we can find the playmakers he so desperately needs long term. I’d love Zay Flowers and Michael Mayer but I’d rather have Josh healthy and not running for his life. This year we protect our franchise QB long term and patch work the weapons (unless we get Hopkins). That'd be my reasonable starting O line projection while also filing in some holes elsewhere
  2. Zay Flowers is growing on me. Kid looks special for a little dude. Still want O lineman early but I won’t be mad if we got Zay in the first
  3. Man I hope so I’d rest easier if that’s the case lol…but I’m sure we won’t be so lucky
  4. Mayer seems like the guy we should target if we’re going TE. He seems like the best all around TE in the draft. The most sure thing from what I’ve seen
  5. 100% I think that’s my guy as well unless someone falls that they just can’t pass on
  6. I agree with this but also think that McDermott was never going to let his defense go to a guy like Flores because it would be completely different from what he built these last 5 years. So in the end he was always going to make it an in house move like promoting Bobby Babich to DC. It’s a prideful move that I hope pays off for him but man I would’ve loved to see what Flores would’ve done with his vengeful dolphin slaying spirit lol
  7. True he was picked right before Oliver but Detroit didn’t want to pay him that’s why he was traded. Hockenson is a top 5 TE in the league and they probably should’ve kept him but because Campbell is a “TE guru” who played TE in the league he probably thinks he can develop a cheaper asset and Detroit already has a plethora of other options for Goff to throw to. But man did I want hockenson bad in that draft
  8. Probably could’ve had him over Oliver in that draft too But even though I’d prefer to take an O lineman round one like John Michael Schmitz, I’m warming up to this idea of one of these stud TEs like Kincaid or Mayer
  9. Trade a 3rd round pick (or later) for Deandre Hopkins (he doesn’t ask for more money in this scenario). Out WR group would immediately be the best in the league with Diggs and Hopkins outside and Davis/Shakir/Beasley filling out the 3-5 spots
  10. Franchise Tag and Trade
  11. Here’s what I think will happen: - Aaron Rodgers stays in GB - Baltimore trades Lamar Jackson to Seattle for the #5 pick in the draft - Carr signs with Panthers - Saints sign Baker Mayfield - Raiders sign Jimmy G - Geno Smith signs with jets again - Tannehill stays with titans - Daniel Jones resigns with NYG - Bucs sign Taylor Heineke to compete with Trask Draft: - Texans draft Young - Colts draft Levis - Ravens draft Stroud - Falcons draft Richardson Now here’s what I hope happens even though it won’t to make the NFC a little harder and take the pressure off the AFC: - Aaron Rodgers retires and Love starts - Baltimore trades Lamar Jackson to Seattle for the #5 pick in the draft - Bears trade Justin Fields to the Saints for their First (pick 29) and 2nd round picks - Carr signs with Bucs - Bears draft Young - Texans draft Stroud - Panthers trade up from 9 to 3 and take Levis ahead of colts and ravens - Ravens draft Anthony Richardson to compete with Huntley and eventually be there QB - Raiders sign Jimmy G - Colts sign Baker Mayfield - Geno Smith signs with jets again - Tannehill stays with titans
  12. Ha ha but the question is would Dorsey even know how to scheme him into our offense or would he just be another kick returner?
  13. I like this. My offseason wish list with the above in mind because I feel like it’s better to invest draft capital in O line than it is WR and RB: - Trade for Deandre Hopkins if it only costs a 3rd or later and he doesn’t want to be paid more than Diggs. If it’s not possible let’s take a 1 year prove it deal on Michael Thomas. He’s been injury prone but I bet on a 1 year deal with Josh Allen he’s stay healthy and thrives. #2 WR locked in and ready for our SB run with Davis, Shakir, and Beasley filling in at 3-5. - Draft John Michael Schmitz first round. Stick him at RG and then he’s the eventual replacement for Morse and is going to be a stud. - Find a couple more O Linemen in the draft to compete (hopefully we have some new scouts who know what makes a good O lineman). Fill the rest of the draft with BPA - If we can’t bring Edmunds back for a reasonable pay day let him walk and sign the old vet Lavonte David for a 1 year deal. Dude is a stud even though he’s old and will thrive in our vanilla D on our way to a SB - when the dust settles sign one of the remaining RBs that can kill in short yardage left to a cheap deal (crazy free agency for awesome RBs no need to rush in early) - Lastly the one I know I’ll get most push back on. Sign hometown legend Gronk to a one year hometown discount deal. Doing all of this protects Josh for the long term and sets us up to win a SB in the upcoming season.
  14. Good write up but I agree with other posters I’m not cutting Hines. He was underutilized and Dorsey needs to be more creative with his skill set. Also if I’m extending either Dawkins or Milano to save money now it’s Milano hands down. He’s a lynchpin to our D no matter who is running the show and I don’t see his play dropping anytime soon
  15. Shoot after seeing this list, if Edmunds walks and since we’re in a SB window I sign Lavonte David for cheaper than what Edmunds is getting on that 2 year deal. He’s still a great LB
  16. I agree that he’s not a savior, but he doesn’t have to be with the team that we have in place. He basically just needs to be competent and more aggressive on both offense and defense. But I also like Sean McDermott a lot and I want to give him the latitude because the players love him and he’s a good man but if I’m Brandon Beane I’m thinking what’s the downside of hiring Brian Flores? First off he’s going to bring aggressiveness to our defense and probably get a head coaching job the following year so then we get a third round draft pick compensation, and he also will challenge McDermott on defensive philosophy, which is never a bad thing because two great defensive minds working together should brew some awesome creativity. Payton vs McDermott isn’t the discussion though. The discussion is why hasn’t McDermott and Beane made the decision to change things up with their defensive scheme. It just doesn’t work for the playoffs. They have to see that after multiple attempts at sticking a square peg in a round hole
  17. Agreed Sean Payton ain’t no dummy. He knows the minds that need to be in place to get his team to excel… and I actually don’t really like the guy as a person but as a coach, I bet he would get us to the Super Bowl
  18. I just don’t understand why we want to stay status quo on defense when the last three years we’ve proven that our defense is not put together schematically for a deep playoff push. Yes, we have the personnel, but the coaching has shown to be subpar in the playoffs, and that’s when it matters most. It seems like Sean McDermott is willing to just go down with the ship which is very disappointing when you have proven aggressive, defensive coordinators like Brian Flores available and yet you want to stay with your buddy, Leslie Frazier. Frazier could be just a figure head for McDermotts D and if that’s the case that shows a lot of pride and arrogance on his part to not be willing to step aside and let someone else coach the D while he head coaches this team. I want us to succeed and I don’t think firing a safeties coach was the direction to make lasting changes to get us a Super Bowl and to not have everything fall on Josh Allens broad shoulders once again. I love this team, and I do feel like Brandon Beane is going to draft us the help we need on the o line and get us a big playmaking wide receiver to pair up with Diggs this off-season. I was just hoping for a little glimmer of light with our defensive scheme.
  19. Pacheco in the 7th please…jk but honestly RB is the thing we should be worries least about. After the dust settles and we draft a couple awesome O lineman and we get a stud #2 WR in free agency (hoping Hopkins) then we get a RB that is still waiting for a team on a reasonable 1 year prove it deal
  20. I totally understand and concede to the logical side of your post because factually yes Mahomes has accomplished more with what he’s been given than Josh has…but in this, “what if” scenario I choose the quarterback, with the most upside to be paired up with the best coach and options of weapons, he could possibly get. I 100% don't think I’m alone in thinking this way because this is a fun all madden team type of game we’re playing here. that’s why I picked George Kittle over Travis Kelce because yes, Kelce has had the better career but George Kittle I believe is a better all-around player who can block and is more dynamic after the catch and I can go into detail on a lot of positions like the receivers I love having Tyreek Hill in an offense where Josh Allen is the quarterback along with catch anything Justin Jefferson, and the rapport Josh has with Diggs even though there might be better statistical wide receivers over the span of the last five years like Davante Adams it’s a fun game to fantasize about building a franchise from start with the players in the nfl right now. So yes I would take Josh Allen from this day forward over Mahomes
  21. You nailed this! 100% agree with everything. Hopefully Beane reads this post and tomorrow morning Frazier is out and McDermott hands the reigns over to our new DC Brian Flores
  22. Keeping it starting 11 only on both sides of the ball and looking at the future not just one year so old guys may not be on the team: QB: Josh Allen HB: Nick Chubb FB: Patrick Ricard WR: Justin Jefferson, Tyreek Hill, Stefon Diggs TE: George Kittle OT: Andrew Thomas, Christian Wirfs OG: Quenton Nelson, Chris Lindstrom OC: Creed Humphrey Edge: TJ Watt, Nick Bosa DT: Chris Jones, Quinnen Williams OLB: Micah Parsons, Matt Milano ILB: Roquan Smith CB: Sauce Gardner, Patrick Surtain II S: Derwin James, Minkah Fitzpatrick K: Justin Tucker GM: Brandon Beane HC: Andy Reid (OC don’t matter with Reid) DC: Demeco Ryans
  23. Definitely a well thought out list but I’d never take Mahomes over Allen. Allen on KC would already have 2 maybe 3 SBs. Best coach in the NFL, Andy Reid can make anyone look amazing. No knock on Mahomes but Josh is just more talented than any QB in the history of the NFL and would thrive under Reid
  24. Lots of missed calls on KC and a lot of questionable calls on Cincy but that push out of bounds was moronic in that situation. And the NFL gets the match they want with Andy Reid playing his old team…woopie 😒
  25. - Beane stays but we put a huge investment in finding scouts who actually know what makes a stud O lineman and D lineman. Beane is a magician with the cap and is a natural with the poker aspect of being a GM no way I let him go but he needs help in the trenches. - I absolutely love McDermott as a human being and leader of men but the game management and unimaginative vanilla defensive and offensive playcalling the last few years has to fall on someone. I’d keep him with the condition that this is a make or break year and that he goes down with the ship if we don’t make the SB next year. I also tell him it’s time for him to let someone else take over the D and he sticks to head coaching. Advice is fine but leave the schemes to the new D coordinator. - convince Fraizer it’s time to hang them up and hope he retires if he’s not ready then we let him go and hire Brian Flores as the new D coordinator. You know he’d be salivating at the chance to stick it to the dolphins and he’d get the most out of the players we have on the roster without us having to do much with the d in the offseason - My gut says fire Dorsey but if I bring him in and he convinces me that because this was his first year as an OC he didn’t want to get too crazy with playcallong and shows me he has big creative plans for the future to get playmakers like Hines, Cook, shakir in space I may give him one more shot. If my gut after the meeting feels like nothing is really going to change from this year I can him and bring up Joe Brady (because if you don’t he’s walking too). I feel like if we fire Dorsey and don’t hire writhin we almost have to fire McDermott too and just blow up the whole coaching staff and get a guy like Sean Payton to bring his own way of doing things. next season we look like: GM - Beane HC - McDermott DC - Flores OC - Dorsey or Brady
