Are they going to choke this game away? -
Lamar Jackson leaves denver game with knee injury

I saw the replay and, for what it’s worth, I didn’t see his knee twist or move in an unnatural way. Hope that is good news for him. -

Allen has been bad for a month, OL is a shambles without Morse and Dawkins. There are a lot of reasons that this team is playing poorly. -

I just don’t see a very good team as the Bills are presently configured. So many players on D and O out. They are going to have to scramble to eek into playoffs. -
McKenzie's Place in the Offense Going Forward
OldTimer1960 replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beasley is not even in the league this year. He was small and got older and injuries mounted. He WAS really good at his job, but I don’t think he is good anymore. -
They miss Hyde and Poyer has been out and played, probably less than 100% yesterday. In addition, Tre White hasn't played and first round pick Kaiir Elam has been out with injury as well. Before that, Benford was out. Right there, that is enough to explain it, but as another poster said, Edmunds has been out and his length really disrupts passing games in middle of the field. Milano played yesterday, but has been out, too. Finally, don't underestimate the impact of Greg Rousseau being out injured. He isn't a dynamic pass rusher, but he is capable, his height disrupts passing attacks and he is a very good run defender. I will admit that Shaq Lawson has filled in well. From the list of injuries, it is surprising that the defense has held up at all.

NFL Week # 11 - Browns at Bills (Detroit) - Post game thread
OldTimer1960 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
This team has a lot of flaws that make me believe that they are a pretender, not a contender. First, I believe that the defense willing improve if the can get Elam and Tre White back. I think that Edmunds is missed more than some believe and Greg Rousseau is also an important piece to get back. The offense is my concern. Allen looks bad. Gabe Davis is not a starting-caliber WR, especially on a team with championship aspirations. If he can’t catch the ball, he needs to sit or go. His bad hands on ST almost cost the game. I have little good to say about Isaiah McKenzie. He is a fringe NFL receiver who can run an occasional gadget play and is a danger to both teams as a returner. While the defense may improve as they, hopefully get healthy, I think that the lack of receiver talent is going to cost this team a serious challenge for the SB. -

I just don’t see a Super Bowl contender when I look at this team. I’m not even sure that I see a playoff team. -

Ugly start for a team in desperate need of a turnaround. This is certainly a game that they can lose. Cleveland is a much more physical team than the Bills. -
Thanksgiving…and this season - What are you thankful for?

I don't see a Super Bowl favorite when I look back over the past 3 games. Keeping in perspective that all teams have flaws, this team has a lot of flaws. Some are injury-induced and couldn't be helped, some are over-estimating the talent at offensive playmaker positions. I acknowledge that I was guilty of over-estimating how good Gabe Davis and Dawson Knox were. Turns out, not so good (unless they are playing hurt). -
Vikings DB talks about the film study he did on the Bills
OldTimer1960 replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sadly, Bills completely over-estimated both Davis and McKenzie. This offense is built completely around the passing game and Davis is - at best - a marginal starting WR and McKenzie is a disaster as a replacement for Beasley. I don't know what to make of Knox - is he hurt or is he just not good? Allen isn't enough to carry this team. Sadly, a ton of competing priorities in the offseason for improvement. They NEED better receivers beyond Diggs, they NEED a TE that can contribute, it would make sense to develop a run game, they need to get 2 starting safeties on D if Poyer and Hyde leave..... -

Thrilled to have an organization that is competitive. Thrilled to have a QB who has shown that he can be great - though, his recent regression is a major concern. Not crazy about an offense that can't run and a defense that can't stop the run when your home games are in Buffalo. This costs the team a game or two every year that they continue like this. Don't like that now that the Bills have finally become a good organization that now so have the Dolphins and Jets. What the hell - 15 years of Patriots domination while Bills, Jets and Phins were mediocre or worse and now the script is flipped? It's going to be a struggle just to make the playoffs for this team. A loss to Cleveland in a snowstorm and season can be pretty much written off. -

May cost them a playoff spot altogether. -
He is going to Dallas who has more money to pay him.

If Allen is injured and can't play or play well, this game is fully up to the defense. If they are healthy, I think the D can be very good, but they haven't been healthy yet. Even if White plays, he will have rust and missing Micah Hyde really hurts. If Poyer can't play, I think you'll see Dean Marlow instead of Jaquan Johnson and I definitely don't want to see more of Terrell Bernard after last week.
