  1. I have had my share of real misses regarding draft prospects, but I really didn’t like Shenault at all. When I watched game cut ups of him, almost all of his receptions were very short passes. Now, in college he had some run after catch ability, but in the NFL he isn’t that special at that. Maybe he can pull off a transformation to RB as Cordarelle Patterson has done.
  2. Morris and Gilliam are pretty short for the position. I think Howard makes it for solid blocking.
  3. Duke isn’t likely to make the team anyway. Not that he is bad, but he is behind Singletary, Moss, Cook and they’ll keep Gilliam and Taiwan Jones.
  4. I am very happy with their performance, just trying to keep things in perspective for today’s game.
  5. Don’t get over confident. Broncos JV team played today.
  6. Shakir continues to impress. Howard had a couple catches, given his blocking I think he is safe. Quinton Morris’ holding penalty hurts him. Rooting for Hodgins and he had some catches, but not sure he has the strength to make it. Would have liked to see Spencer Brown play a little more. He looked decent to me when he was in. Epenesa had some good pressures. I thought Basham played well and Lawson made some impact. Going to be tough to cut down the DEs.
  7. Howard sighting. Keenum looks much better with some talent to play with this week.
  8. I think Cody Ford has had some road grading blocks - and at least one whiff. He has some power.
  9. I know I’m in the minority, but I really like Motor.
  10. Not an impressive effort by the 1st team D there.
  11. True - I remember the missed one to Sweeney in the end zone. Keenum did not look comfortable at all. I think a fair amount of that is that the OL was a patch-work (being kind) and a rookie WR and ST player playing WR who were matched against many of Indy's starters. If Keenum doesn't look a little better next week, I'll start to worry, but he has shown that he can play competently in the NFL, so too soon for me to panic on him yet.
  12. Would be great if Shakir can play outside and slot. Beyond Diggs and Davis, it is a steeeep drop off to Kumerow or Hodgkin, though Hodgins made some plays today.
  13. Encouraging that Bills’ backups hung with Indy’s 1st team O. Elam and Bedford showed well for most part. For all the talk of more multiple TE sets, none that played today were impressive. I know that most of the OL players that will be here didn’t play, but those that did were over-matched most of the game.
  14. Think OJ Howard might be in trouble? Seems odd to see him in this late. Could he possibly get beat out by Sweeney?
  15. Ugly play by Bills’ backup QBs today.
  16. I thought that Terrel Bernard was faster than that.
  17. They HAVE to find someone better than Kumerow to backup Diggs and Davis.
  18. I think to some here Singletary will never be considered good because he ran a 4.6 40 coming out of college. The fixation on 40 times yields the thought that Cook is much more talented. Room for both and Zach Moss in my opinion. I don’t think Cook is getting 15+ Carrie’s a game at his size and with his receiving talent.
  19. I think the Bills have done just about everything that they can to build a great team and I think that they will be very good. Still, the AFC is LOADED and while Josh Allen is outstanding, arguments can be made that others are his equal or close including: Mahommes, Watson, Burrow, Wilson, Herbert and Rogers. I am sure that I am forgetting some, but right there are 6 opponents where the Bills would have no significant advantage at QB. Of course, the full roster matters and injuries can throw a wrench into any team's season. In my view, the Bills are very good, but it will take a tremendous run and some luck to emerge from the AFC and win the SB.
  20. I know that he has played well. If he has always looked like that, it is one thing, but if that is a bunch of new weight this off-season, it could be a problem.
  21. Looking at some fairly recent offseason photos, Dion Dawkins looks like someone’s Grandpa visited practice. I understand that he might be very strong under that excess weight, but disappointing that the LT on a highly touted team looks so out of shape. 22. I think it might be a bit different than Bass’ situation. Bass showed in college that he could be consistent. With Araiza, I think if he doesn’t get consistent hang time in practices and preseason it could leave the door open for Haack. I *hope* that Araiza can get good consistent hang time and punt for better distance, but if he kicks too many low long ones he could be in trouble.
  23. I’m not sure I agree. Haack was bad last year for sure, but he has been a good NFL punter and Araiza is pretty raw. I think Araiza will get the job, but more on potential than outperforming Haack in camp.
  24. Looks like Basham lost a little “bad weight” that he had last year.
