I'm familiar For being so damned artsy you guys aren't very good with figurative expression. Think of it in terms of football. Let's say we run/pass 50/50. I think we should run more, you think we should pass more. We're both trying to work together to create a more productive offense. How do we compromise? Although, in this case you got your way & we now pass 60% of the time & we suck worse. I still think we should be running more than half the time & you think we should pass even more than we're passing now. You insist we pass more than 60% and aren't even open to passing less. How do I compromise?

Of those you mentioned that actually are reasonable to look at, you basically just reeled off the hottest girls the country's drama & glee clubs have to offer, and you don't see a lot of conservatives (or good looking women, for that matter) in that crowd. These girls are the hottest .1% that crowd has to offer. Liberalism appeals to unattractive women for two reasons: 1. Liberals cater to feminism which serves as a convenient crutch to women with a chip on their shoulder. It's this patriarchal male-dominated society that marginalizes her, not her fat ass and bitter personality. And 2. Unattractive women are less likely to be in a stable long term relationship, therefore more likely to be on her own (often with dependent children) and tend to find comfort in the security of the welfare state. Sure, I know some attractive libs, but by & large the hard core leftists are the ones relegated to trolling bars & websites for drunk & desperate guys.

WOW! CJ Spiller practices and expects to play

Pain's funny. I've broken a hand & rib, and while both hurt neither was close to the pain from landing on my arm after tripping over an engine at the junk yard. I almost threw up from the pain, & trying to extend for the x-ray was excruciating, but it turned out there was no break & two weeks later I was fine. Sometimes minor injuries hurt more than the major ones. -
The rank & file Dems you speak of have little in common with the leaders of the party. And this business of compromise is either disengenuous or obtuse. Let's say the dial is at 50, you want it at 70, & I want it at 30. You say "I want 70, but I'm willing to compromise at 60." Going along with that wouldn't be compromise on my part, it would be capitulation. I give you more credit than most because you advance an argument & try to defend it with reason. While I find much of your reasoning flawed and lacking a foundation I give you credit nonetheless for being reasonable in understanding there are valid counterpoints worthy of consideration & trying to find a balance. I find far less substance or self-awareness from your fellow Dems, both in politics & media.

"They won't lose three in a row" -- anyone else sick of he
Rob's House replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The flaw in your thinking is you're putting the most weight on the first week which is the worst indicator of where the teams are now. -
The real answer is most liberals don't think beyond the surface level stereotypes. Even the intelligent one's reach conclusions based on symbolism or wishful thinking and then make excuses for their beliefs, primarily by denigrating those who disagree with them as immoral, then mistake the excuse making, stereotyping, & attacks for critical thinking. Most don't even know they're doing it and when confronted with it, deflect.

Stephon Gilmore needs to step it up this week
Rob's House replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He played very well in the KC game. I expect he'll be a premier corner by year's end. -
We need the offense to put up some points and the defense to stop them from scoring as many points. If we do that we have a good chance of winning.

I'm not holding my breath with our best two offensive players questionable, but if Bills show up ready to play the Bills could administer a long overdue ass whoopin. Tommy Tough Guy crumbles under pressure, we've got a dominant pass rush, & they're potentially vulnerable on the O-line. If Mankins doesn't play they could be in trouble. And with our O-line healthy & in-tact I don't see them shutting down the run. This might be the week we turn the corner.

Looks like it. I just realized that's why their coverage sucks

NFL Network sucks at covering games. They skip the TD drive to interview Dieon about going to Orioles batting practice? WTF?

Madonna endorses Obama LOL

My favorite part of this story was the Deudge Headline: Madonna threatens to undress if Obama wins. -
Another Reason to Not Like Brady
Rob's House replied to It's in My Blood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Or maybe it's just fun to hate him. When you think about what fandom is, none of it is very rational, it's just fun. So who cares if we unfairly bash Brady? Somehow I don't think he's too concerned about it. -

Jumped in pretty quick with that one. Do you, by chance, happen to play guitar? -
Dead musicians you wish you could have seen play live

I would have said The Dead with Jerry but my days of experimenting with hallucinogens in a parking lot among the dirty hippies are behind me now. -

Shhh, Speak not of the temperamental one. -
CJ is a bust. How many 1000 yard seasons has he had? How many times has he had double digit TDs? How many SB rings does he have? That's right. Zero. Dude sucks.

I think he was worried Newton might hit back.

The next six games are brutal - how will we do?
Rob's House replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's a nasty stretch, but looking at each game individually there isn't one that isn't winnable. AZ won a game on a missed FG that's usually a win and pulled out a close one against Seattle. They're good, but let's not get carried away here. Their offense is average at best. NE is always a threat but they're not the juggernaut they once were. If our front four gets pressure we might surprise some people. SF is balanced but not really dominant in any facet. And we have the D to stop Al Gore and make them beat us with Alex Smith. I like our chances there. TN showed they've got something last week, but no matter how hard I try i can't get worried about them. And Seattle could easily be 1-2 right now. Their passing game is nothing to fear. Their D is a concern but they haven't faced a stout O-line yet either. Like I say, it's a rough stretch, and I don't expect to win all of them, but other than Houston I don't see a team on the schedule we don't have a reasonable shot at. And who's to say they can't be beat too; I doubt they go 16-0; We could be that off game. -
I don't know of any leader in any capacity that has been so entirely dependent on the teleprompter. It's not that he uses one, it's that he can't speak off of it without ending up with his foot in his mouth. Clinton had no such disability. They have medication for your condition.

That's the problem. He takes all the glory & doesn't leave any for the rest of us. As a peaceful protest we should all put "Free Crayonz" in our sig lines.

Bills vs Patriots, and other NFL predictions

Bills sending home a teary-eyed Tommy would be change I could believe in. -
You guys are nuts. I've had pizza from all over & PJs is some damn good pizza. I don't much care for the arrogant prick in the commercials, but the guy sells a good pizza. The fluffy dough and sweet sauce are delightful. You don't mean Richmond, VA do you?
