  1. Dude, He was the HC of SD from 99-01. What more do you want?
  2. Are you saying Mike Riley isn't highly qualified to be an NFL Head Coach?
  3. If we could get & afford Bowe signed to an extension it would be an excellent move. Not just b/c it would help this year, but if we brought in a rookie QB next year, having a guy like that really helps one adjust to the NFL. (see Andy Dalton/AJ Green.
  4. I haven't heard this but I kind of get that vibe from him. Have you heard any stories?
  5. Come on, guys. Compliments embarrass me.
  6. I think this is right. The receivers have been getting open, the passes are just off the mark. Can't speak much to their hands b/c the ball doesn't usually get that far.
  7. Careful, buddy. Simple Jack might have a friend named Johnny.
  8. Romo's career QB rating is 95.9.
  9. Obama's got the jock vote locked up. It's moving when he speaks from the heart of his fond memories at Cominsky Field & Wrigley Park.
  10. Sorry, dude. You're just wrong here. She was not working as a journalist tonight, she was hired to moderate. And she's even admitted she got it wrong; I'm not sure why you're arguing that. It would be like a judge impeaching a witness statement. The bottom line is that she's not qualified to be a debate fact checker, and just because she THOUGHT she had personal knowledge on the topic it's Obama's place, not hers, to call him out on that. To argue otherwise is just an exercise of the partisanship you claim to despise.
  11. What both of you are missing is that it wasn't her place to interject in that fashion. The fact that she did AND she was wrong just compounds it. If she'd done this to Obama she'd be getting death threats right now.
  12. She gave him his best moment of the night. This is possibly the single most egregious incident of moderator misconduct in modern history. I hope she enjoyed moderating this debate b/c it will be her last.
  13. No great loss. He was a step up from DIN, but that's a small step.
  14. Not everyone agrees with me but I think Romney won, & unlike football I'm normally very pessimistic about these things.
  15. You know full well there is a meaningful distinction, and right or [as it now appears] wrong, it was not her place to act as fact checker. Paul lied, people died
  16. I haven't been around here much lately. Was he banned or did he voluntarily !@#$ off?
  17. You're a !@#$ing douche bag. You were useless as DIN & you've devolved to worthless since changing names. You bring nothing insightful or interesting to the conversation.
  18. You might be surprised what I do & don't agree with. I'm not the conservative version of the twits excoriating Bush for not tossing the kid off his lap & making a B line to the door when told of 9/11. He probably should have calmly told the class something important came up & he had to go, but whatever. Similarly, I don't think Obama playing to his prejudices & then running off to Vegas right after is an impeachable offense. But it is a black eye, & one that is a lot more legitimate concern than a lot of the bull **** that permeates the political scene.
  19. It was all likeability. Most people who follow the issues aren't going to be swayed by this ****. Confidence & likeability are crucial. Obama scored on strength & toughness, which he needed to, but largely at the cost of being likable..
  20. That's the point. He can still come back to it. A zinger in a debate does not foreclose the issue.
  21. Don't be an ass. It's not a matter of Obama not stopping it. It's a matter of his team not coming clean on it. Does this by itself say all that needs to be said about foreign policy? Obviously not. But are you honestly saying that the President sitting on that info, stonewalling the population, & riding off to party w/ Jay-Z in the immediate aftermath is irrelevant? If it was Bush would it be irrelevant? Who's really wearing the partisan glasses here?
  22. That's b/c despite being a great sound bite for Obama, the reality is he did refuse to acknowledge the attack as a pre-planned terrorist attack, as opposed to spontaneous "act of terror" by angry protestors.
  23. NBC is dutifully doing Obama's dirty work.
  24. B/c President (*^*&%^$^#keeps taking credit for increases in oil production despite the fact that oil production on Federal land, the only oil production he has any real control over, is down 14%.
