Buffalo is the tenth most dangerous city in the U.S.A
Rob's House replied to Buffalo 66's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Numbers aside, New Orleans is a real **** hole.(parts anyway) A friend and I wandered off the beaten path and into a housing project of New Orleans about a decade ago, in search of greener pastures. To this day I feel great relief that we emerged unscathed - well, other than being $20 lighter with nothing to show for it. -
Buffalo is the tenth most dangerous city in the U.S.A
Rob's House replied to Buffalo 66's topic in Off the Wall Archives
A lot of theses stats can be misleading. Richmond, VA used to always be in the top 10, but that was due largely to large segments in the city with high crime, but outside the high crime areas and in the suburbs it was perfectly safe. Similarly, there are areas of Chicago that are as dangerous as anywhere else, but statistically those are offset by the size of the population. I'm curious what city. I used to make deliveries in parts of Wilson, NC where EMS wouldn't go. I've even been pulled over and questioned by the cops for just driving through. I never had any problems, but I've had my heart in my throat a time or two down there. -
I'm realizing more and more that this narrative only gets picked up by dopey dupes who would get snowed by whatever agenda the left rolls out and media endorses. By and large, it's only the most pathetic women, (the one's with a chip on their vagina who use feminism as a crutch to help them with their negative self-image problems) that really fall for this crap. Most reasonably intelligent women, whether D, R, or I, are smart enough to know when someone's blowing smoke up their ass.

Is this really what the controversy is about? I thought it was a head scratcher but didn't pay it much mind because, like most contrived scandals, it only resonates with those predisposed to demonizing Beloved Leader's opposition. Are they really insinuating that this relates to bondage? If this is true I just want the Dem followers to bask in the reality that their chosen party is banking on the hope that their supporters are too stupid to understand the concept of a 3-ring binder? Pair this with the "act of terror" b.s. and it becomes clear that the Democratic strategy is to mislead as many people as possible, and when caught lying to hide behind semantic technicalities. And I know that's politics, but never in the history of Presidential elections (Including Kerry/Edwards or Obama '08) can I recall such a transparent attempt to lie and hide behind semantic word games to rationalize it. And no, binder is not a New England world. I live in the civilized world (i.e. south of the Mason-Dixon line) and "binder" is common parlance. Also, is there anyone here who really believes this Lilly Leadbetter bull **** isn't just a cheap ploy to play on identity politics? That's because any real liberal (and I'm not talking about moderate Dems here) is incapable of rational thought and choses to live in a fantasy constructed of hard stereotypes and preconceived notions, while ironically railing vehemently against generalizations.

Great Post. I've been dissappointed with his performance this year too, but the Fitz bashing has really gone overboard. I'm hoping to see some Fitzmagic this afternoon. If you don't want him burned at the stake you're not a true fan.

I'm kind of glad to see the bloom come off this rose. All I've seen of him are some Youtube clips, but anytime a guy goes from relative obscurity to mass filatio across the board, I'm always skeptical. He looks to have a great arm, but he also seems to lock in and stare down receivers. I may be wrong, but that's what I've seen, and that scares me for a guy we could be mortgaging the future on.

What about the other Tyler - Tyler Wilson? He doesn't get a lot of mention around here, but from what little I've seen of him he looks pretty good. I know it's early, but CBS Sports predicts he'll go to the Bills. How would yall feel about that?

And apparently blind. -
This is the best analysis of the situation I've heard.

The Supreme Court seemed to think it was unconstitutional. Parts, anyway. I don't always agree that the constitution says whatever the SC says it does, but I'm curious how you see it.

I've theorized for a while that they know their chances are slim and none and are just trying to save face. Perhaps I'm wrong, but that's how it looks.

3.5 is the optimal number of casualties.

I would like to read more about this just for the sake of hearing all sides of the argument. Where would you recommend looking?

I thought Fred looked a lot more fluid this past week than in prior weeks. He said before the NE game that the brace slowed him down. I expect he'll be even better this week & the week after. Also, this fair weather fandom rubs me the wrong way. The same fans who are quick to turn on a player when he gets injured or has a bad game are the same ones who feel outraged when a player looks out for his own best interest rather than that of the team. If I'm a player & I see how quickly fan loyalty turns, I'd feel absolutely no sense of obligation or loyalty to said fan base.

Who will be the Bills QB next year
Rob's House replied to THE GASH STATION's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If I were a betting man I wouldn't put much money on him, but I'm still holding out hope that Fitz's recent accuracy problems (he's never been the most accurate, but he's never been this bad either) are largely attributable to his mechanics work and that he gets it together over the next few games. If so we should be solid down the stretch. I still would like a top rookie QB taken in the draft either way. If Fitz does get it together, the rookie will probably sit behind him next year. If not, he probably gets traded & TJ & the rookie compete for the starting job next year. -
It doesn't matter. Anything that scores a point for Obama is not only acceptable, it's virtuous.

Then you have independent fact checkers who have been preselected to check and confirm these questions during the debate, not the fat !@#$ running the debate chiming in what she THINKS is the truth. It's interesting that you don't have any problem with the fact that she got it wrong, or that the "fact" that she "clarified" totally skewed the perception of how that situation really played out. It comes off like Beloved Leader came out day 1 and called it like it was, when the reality is he sold a bull **** story for 2 weeks until he couldn't hide it anymore.
-
I'm surprised at you. This is the kind of garbage I expect out of Ducky and other retards who are too simple to see beyond step one. The moderator isn't qualified to fact check and is rarely impartial. She doesn't know all the facts that are going to come out and therefore can't consistently, fairly, and accurately fact check the debators. What you're suggesting is that any time a debate moderator thinks she might know the answer to a question in contention it's appropriate for her throw in her 2 cents. Somehow I doubt you'd be so giddy (hehe) if Rush Limbaugh were moderating and selectively and incorrectly fact checking Obama at key moments of the debate.

If we're talking about qualifications in an experiential sense, you'd have to say at this point, after being President for four years, you'd have to say Obama is qualified to be President just as you'd have to say Dick Jauron is qualified to be an NFL head coach. Four years ago you couldn't make the argument that Obama was qualified even if you stretched really hard to do it. His resume was basically that of someone who got out of college, did an internship, got an entry level job (state senate), got promoted to a jr. executive spot (US Senate) and before learning the ropes or doing anything more than showing up for a couple of meetings where he sat quietly in the back, he's all of a sudden CEO of a major corporation. It was like it came straight out of the Hudsucker Proxy. If we're talking about qualifications in the competency sense, Obama's not qualified to be President for the same reason Brad Smith isn't qualified to be a starting QB in the NFL. On paper all the qualifications are there, but he doesn't have the skill set to effectively perform the job.

Paul Ryan mistakes Colt McCoy for Brandon Weeden
Rob's House replied to truth on hold's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
No joke, I had an Ivy League (aff action) educated professor argue the equal protection clause guarantees every kid in the country an equal education.
