  1. I'm saying that when congress acts beyond the scope of its authority the legislation is void & one is not under any moral or legal obligation to comply. Law enforcement & the courts may still impose sanctions, but that is a matter of actual consequences rather than a matter of legitimacy of law.
  2. This thread should be titled: Complaints for those who have run out of things to complain about. You guys are talking about Tarvaris friggin Jackson and a 6th rd pick. This story burdens my soul to the same extent our failure to retain CJ Ah You does.
  3. According to you, congress.
  4. What is it to refuse to obey an illegal act of congress?
  5. I agree he should be in prison, but everything you just said is legally and functionally retarded. Start shooting warning shots in a basement? Lying in wait for burglars in your own house? Where this guy went wrong was switching from self-defense to execution mode. Had he taken each out with one or two quick shots each, we're not having this conversation.
  6. I hate you guys. But have a merry secular winter holiday anyway.
  7. I don't recall gun control being a campaign issue. Why is Obama expected to act on it now?
  8. I call bull ****. The Rooney's are claiming that the only reason they hired their coach is because of the Rooney rule? Kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy, wouldn't you say? "See, our rule works, we followed it!" I don't buy it.
  9. Another example of how lame the Rooney Rule is.
  10. Kaepernik sucked tonight. The only QB the FO should be ashamed of passing on is Wilson. We could have had a legitimate star QB in the 3rd, and a lot of us knew it. The others are hindsight guesses but passing on Wilson is hard to swallow.
  11. Spiller > Barry Sanders and Adrien Peterson combined and on steroids.
  12. It's entirely possible that only one of the teams in front of us will take a QB with their first pick.
  13. This team could use: - a solid WR1a to complement SJ - a big bodied short yardage RB - a fast sideline to sideline LB - a big-time QB Championship!
  14. I look to their poise in the pocket, head movement surveying the field, velocity and touch, and ball placement regardless of what the receiver does with it.
  15. College stats don't tell you much. Watching the two Glennon looks a lot more impressive. Manuel has a much better supporting cast as well.
  16. Stop with the Geno Smith rushing myth. Just b/c he's black doesn't make him a scrambler. He had 155 rushing yds this season. I'm coming around on the kid b/c I hear he's a football junkie & that can cure a lot of ills, but let's take him for what he is: a pocket passer.
  17. Joe Scarboro is a pu$$y. Liberals like him because he's basically a moderate liberal with an R after his name. This "right-wing estremist" crap is laughable. Anyone who's fiscally conservative is "extreme".
  18. College stats are pretty meaningless. Watch video of Glennon & Bray against decent competition & see if you still prefer Bray.
  19. I would like to see these guys brought back. Most are solid role players (Byrd & Levitre are stars), should be reasonably affordable, & help maintain continuity so we can focus on filling holes of greater need.
  20. Come on, man. Chan deserves criticism, but can you at least get the criticisms right? Gailey responsible for Cassell's regression? Did this regression occur in the few weeks of the 2009 pre-season that Chan spent in KC, b/c that's the only time they worked together. AndFitz? He has played his best football under Chan, he's just hit his ceiling. But perhaps I'm forgetting Fitz's heyday back pre-Gailey when he was lighting up the league. And BTW, he wasn't demoted in KC, he was fired by Todd Hayley, who didn't sign him in the first place, & it was because Hayley's an O guy & runs a different system. Also, Thigpen was signed as a FA, not traded for. But other than all that you're right on the money. I've watched several of his games. His arm is legendary, but that's about all he's got. I watched Bray after watching Glennon; I no longer care for Bray.
  21. As far as talent goes we just need more speed at LB. We need someone that can counter the mobil QB.
  22. If I were running the team I'd try to pick him up and use him one of 2 ways. If draft time comes and we can get G Smith (I've changed my mind, I think he'll be good), Glennon, or Barkley, then I convert him to H-back. If not, I continue to build the defense and implement a run first offense with Tebow as my power runner/QB. That offense would grind out the clock to keep the defense fresh (a la Flutie) & even if he's having a bad day Tebow's usually good in the clutch (also like Flutie).
  23. Spiller + Tebow would be a hell of a thunder & lightning ground attack.
  24. I wouldn't be surprised or disappointed to see this. This time last year Tannehill was a 2nd or 3rd rd prospect
