  1. The ONLY QB I blame the FO for passing on is Russel Wilson. Nothing against TJ Graham, b/c he has a bright future, but when you have a guy with that much potential available in the 3rd & you have a ? at QB you pull the damn trigger, & this is coming from someone who is a fan of Fitz. Dalton & Kaepernick are largely hindsight criticisms b/c I don't recall too many people (a few for Kap, fewer for Dalton) singing their praises a year & a half ago. But a lot of us wanted Russel Wilson. This year, if they pass on Glennon, Jones, or Murray in the second I'll be upset. Otherwise I'm happy with Nix. I like him.
  2. I don't usually agree with the "if you don't like it stop them" argument, because the logic is self-defeating and circular, but I think it fits here. This isn't like the classless 07 Pats throwing bombs to the end zone up 30+ points with a minute to play. They were putting a close game away & there's nothing wrong with running it until you can stop it.
  3. Funny Urlacher story from Bas Rutten http://m.youtube.com/index?&desktop_uri=%2F#/watch?v=tuERSRNKZXM
  4. I'll even tell her that I love her if she wants me to. But to be clear, it would now be a tryst with an attractive older woman rather than a smoking hot babe.
  5. I'm not trying to pick on you here, but this is about as poor a case as any to hold up as an example for gun control. This is a big strong pro athlete who could rip most people limb from limb with his bare hands; he didn't need the gun to kill her. And it's not like this was an instant impulse; he shot her NINE TIMES. Sure it's possible this doesn't happen, but there's little to no evidence to support that theory. While I generally support the right to own guns I know a lot of people who I respect that have opposing views on the issue. If any of them forwarded me this case as an argument for gun control I would cease to have respect for their views on the topic.
  6. It's also [still] possible that the Bills could win the SB this year.
  7. Are you joking? You can't really think this. Your theory's off on 2 points: 1. Not every domestic assault charge is a product of wife beating. Obviously a lot of them are, but they're often the product of overzealous prosecutors fulfilling their agenda driven goal who get used by angry chicks who are mad at their husband/bf for cheating or not taking the beating she was administering. This happens A LOT more than people might think. 2. Does anyone seriously think this would have any kind of significant impact on domestic violence? Really? How many battered women would be saved if the man knew a conviction would keep him out of the NFL? I'm guessing not many. If instead of a gun there had been a hammer this might well have ended differently for him (maybe he drives off a cliff?) but somehow I think the result would be the same for her. And I don't think this guy being !@#$ed up is a reflection of our society.
  8. Bills - 31 Rams - 4
  9. I wasn't thinking "hunt humans" so much as something other than a burglary was going on & for whatever reason he ends up killing them, whether pre-meditated or otherwise. I'm not trying to Trayvon the incident and declare what happened. all I know is what the article said. But this fact pattern sounds fishy.
  10. Is this in reference to the Paul Ryan version of Nugget?
  11. Ahh, that's interesting. Like he lured them down there to shoot them & claim home invasion. Or maybe invited them down for some other reason, something went awry & ... Sounds more plausible than the story he offered, which I might add is pretty damn incriminating for a guy who had over 24 hrs to concoct his story.
  12. I don't know if I'd go that far. IDK if it was the wrist, getting re-acclimated to the game, or some combination of those, but he definitely looks faster, stronger, & quicker off the snap than he did early. Plus, as far as playing easier teams, it's kind of like the garbage time argument to explain good stats: ever team gets them. I agree his first half was lousy, but that just makes the numbers he has in spite of that all the more impressive.
  13. whoa, easy there, sparky. Not all convictions are created equally. You're going to lump a lot of guys with vindictive girlfriends in with the real scumbags that way.
  14. It's one thing to criticize, another to have a whiny little B word fit b/c reality doesn't mirror your adolescent fantasies.
  15. I don't mind being the "told you so" guy on this. The Mario bashing got pretty ridiculous. I'm glad to see him serving up heaping helpings of crow.
  16. Has ever a less talented actress gotten more work?
  17. It wasn't that. Some vagina w/ mod privileges deleted any posts critical of the POS.
  18. "I'm sorry; I don't speak jive."
  19. I know a handful of people here really understand the nuances of the game. Does anyone in the know have an opinion of how his game would translate to SS?
  20. Not too worried. Hang the tag on him if need be. Then use it as leverage for a long term deal. Plus, he'll want to stay after we finish 9-7.
  21. This dumbass is going to be kicking himself next year when he's out of the league.
  22. No one's dumping on him. Just don't care that he's gone. The guy didn't play all year. And he may be a great guy, but I'm not shedding any tears for a guy that pocketed $2 million this year to practice.
  23. Careful, buddy. He was a semi-famous pro athlete who died in his prime; that makes him a hero, his death a tragedy, and you an !@#$ for being insensitive.
