  1. Being the subject of an inside joke can damage your self of steam.
  2. I don't want to burst yall's bubble but if Nassib is our new QB Fitz might might start next year.
  3. T-Jack isn't exactly what anyone wants.
  4. His first stint as OC here was enough for me.
  5. Easy bub, not looking to retry the case. Your comment just piqued my curiosity.
  6. I don't pretend to know what happened, but from what I recall witnesses said Ray and his friends attacked and killed the guys they were arguing with, but the witness accounts were too conflicting and inconsistent to get a conviction. I'm not saying he's a murderer, but I'm not saying he isn't either. Do you have more definitive info on this?
  7. Is Dave W still under contract?
  8. Is there some greater value or goal to be accomplished through pessimism? It's entertainment; if you don't enjoy it what's the point?
  9. That could throw a monkey wrench into my analysis.
  10. MN should can their GM. You're going to the playoffs w/ Joe Webb as your b/u QB? Say what you will about Tyler Thigpen, at least he can complete a forward pass. This game was over before it started.
  11. Bill Cowher, that's who.
  12. Because he's not very good at playing NFL QB.
  13. Bringing in a past his prime, undersized, injury-prone QB to be the centerpiece of a new system doesn't get me excited.
  14. I'd rather have Bowe or Wallacce anyway. Jennings may be the best all around, but Bowe's size & Wallace's speed create favorable matchups to exploit, & we already have a solid all around receiver in SJ.
  15. Does the fact that Barkley played under a different coach from all the others mentioned change the equation at all, or does this USC system transcend the coaching staff?
  16. Given out personnel it might not be a hard switch. Dareus & Carrington were drafted to play 3-4 DE, Mario can play either scheme (better in 4-3), Barnett has played 3-4, and Shepherd is probably just as suitable (maybe better) in 3-4. I'm not [necessarily] advocating a switch, but it wouldn't be as difficult this time around.
  17. Pull yourself away from the stat sheet & watch the game. CJ can't smash the ball up the middle & power ahead for tough yds. The yards after contact are usually from juking out of an arm tackle & running for big chunks. You also need someone to lower his shoulder and plow into a tight spot sometimes.
  18. You hit the nail on the head.
  19. Explain the ignorance part to me? And the intolerance too. Seems to me you're intolerant of anyone who views this issue differently from you. And come on, man. Everyone knows the only time you wear a speedo is for comedy or swim meets. Edit: I have struggled for years w/ anger problems (which is strange b/c I'm a very chill guy most of the time). Certain things just set me off. Strangely enough, Wayne Dyer has helped me immensely on that front.
  20. This post actually changes my feeling about him. I used to like him when he was on at night, but I suppose doing a morning show on MSNBC could be reason to pull punches. You know my stance on this. We'll get along when you go along. I can go with the Dick Jauron "bend but don't break" style of going along, but the G Wilson "bend & break" doesn't work for me. We'll get along when you go along.
  21. As far as doing it publicly, yes. It may not be PC but I don't think it's unreasonable to say that the negative affect it has on others is objectively different. If it helps you to wrap your mind around it, I'm personally much more affected by people who chew with their mouth open. It may not be rational but it drives me insane. I don't think there is anything wrong with chewing with one's mouth open when alone. In fact, if alone it makes no difference. But if you're in earshot of me it makes a big difference. Dude, I've addressed this at least twice now in the thread. I didn't see the f'n kiss, I just read the article and I'm irritated by the writer.
  22. Not so. There's nothing wrong with you jacking off. Doing it flagrantly in public... (And just to reiterate I'm discussing this broadly, not just in reference to the gay bowlers - I already said I didn't see the kiss.) No, people should just have the common courtesy to act appropriately. I could care less about that. I'm not really offended by much that people do as long as it isn't imposed on others.
  23. I generally pull for people who I think are in the right to prevail; you could call that rooting for them to succeed. However, there are a lot of groups that I tend to stop supporting when they go too far. The writer of this article popped wood over this & gushed over how wonderful it is that we live in a society that is so "tolerant" that gay PDA is thrust in your face. I don't really give a **** about the kiss itself so much as the reaction. And that kind of "in your face, we're here & we're queer, we're going to make a show of it, & you're going to like it" business goes beyond the concept of live & let live that I can wholly support & moves into the realm of imposition. It's just like how I really can't root for any kind of black movement because even though I agree that as a whole the black community has gotten the shaft and deserves equal rights & freedoms, the "cause" has moved beyond that to something untenable that asks not for freedom from oppression but rather seeks to impose its will on and demonize others - essentially turned into "people who looked like you !@#$ed over people who look like me & now you owe me." Therefore I cannot "root" for them in the advancement of their cause. I hope this helps.
