  1. Don't even start thinking that way, much less talking that way. They can't do it until people acquiesce. If the society as a whole strongly resists the notion of gun bans they can never make it happen. Also, at the risk of sounding Dr. Strangelove, every genocide of the 20th century was preceeded by a disarming of the population. I know, I know, it could never happen here. Not even in 50 or 100 years because it's not like that now and look how little things have changed over the last 100 years.
  2. I might have a modicum of respect for the opinions of the anti-gun crowd if ever I heard a logical argument that didn't substitute emotion for logic, cherry-pick skewed statistics to paint a false picture consistent with their narrative, and didn't ultimately conclude with a call for action that would in practice do virtually nothing to solve the alleged ill sought to be addressed while inadvertantly causing greater unforeseen (by them) harm. I mean honestly, if your thought process goes no deeper than "guns are dangerous, people get shot with guns, if people didn't have guns people wouldn't get shot, and some tool I know said it worked in England" then you should probably keep your thoughts to yourself because your ignorance is of no value to anyone other than those who wish to exploit it to their own ends.
  3. I can't help but get the feeling that when news breaks of a school shooting liberals celebrate on the inside.
  4. If we could only get one name FA I'd like to see Andre Smith from the Bengals. He's a big, strong dominating mauler that would spring Spiller for big runs and to plow through opposing D's for short yardage & goal line runs. He'd be to our OL what Mario is to the DL. He's probably too expensive but with him we'd have the best OL in the league. Tim Hightower might be a good pickup for our #3 RB. Probably fairly cheap & adds a power running element we don't currently have on the roster.
  5. it favors the left. By a wide margin.
  6. I'd like to thank the OP for sharing this heaping helping of dung with the rest of us. There's nothing like the smell of recycled canned bull **** in the morning.
  7. Typically you'd set it up through the computer, although if you'd prefer you could run it from the TV. Depending on the audio outputs on your TV, positioning in your room, and equipment you're looking to buy this may be more or less convenient.
  8. Because when Democrats exploit racism to get elected it's virtuous. When Republicans do it it's shameful.
  9. If you're looking for a surround sound system for your computer you may be looking in the wrong section. Try here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007679%20600010685&IsNodeId=1&name=5.1
  10. It really does. It's always the peddlers of racial/ethnic/socioeconomic divide that cast these accusations of "intolerance" as though they're so above the fray when the reality is they've been exploiting that fray for decades without any concern for those that get shafted in the process. Sure they cry foul when someone accuses RG3 of not being black enough, yet in their next breath they support the very mindset that leads to that garbage. And then call us racist with nothing to back it up.
  11. If this is all you've got I'm through discussing it. This is just you reinforcing your prejudices. I'd think a doctor would take a more scientific approach.
  12. On another front, every writer who did not cast a vote for Dale Murphy should be stripped of the honor.
  13. Is this for sure? I heard (I think in another thread here) if we dropped him early enough it would save roughly 4.5 mil this year but still count 4.5 mil against the cap next year also. Is that wrong?
  14. None of this changes the fact that you're basing your argument that the conservative movement in America is overwhelmingly intolerant of poor, minorities, etc. on a comment made over 30 years ago. That's weak. From what I gathered from his comments, he was explaining political strategy on how to win pockets of states and how the racial aspect of that strategy evolved over time. I don't quite see how this solidifies your stance. In fact, in light of the way he explains that overt racism fell out of favor between the 50s and 60s I'd say this runs counter to your conclusion.
  15. This is the Spandex Mafia's preferred style of seat:
  16. You dick. Quite appropriate for this thread though.
  17. Ha. Good catch. It didn't even occur to me. Unintentional irony, it was. And I mean irony in a very Alanis Morisette kind of way.
  18. We don't really need the 1st either because the only time anyone would silence you is when you said something that ran counter to public opinion.
  19. Anyone know if the infamous Bharami meltdown thread is still floating around the archives? It gets mentioned from time to time, but I've never heard the back story.
  20. I'm not even sure what he's saying, exactly, in that quote as I don't know the context. But regardless of that, no, some comments by 1 Republican strategist made over 30 years ago doesn't really bring your point home for me.
  21. Consider me impressed, Mr. Head.
  22. Has anyone determined for sure how much we'd save against the cap this year by cutting Fitz outright?
  23. Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose?
  24. A lot of the ribbing you're catching here is all in good fun. For the record, I could care less if you obey the traffic laws, I just hate the guys that ride on a busy narrow two lane road and clog up traffic. Plus, come on man, you can't be a grown man sporting spandex nut huggers and not expect to take some flack for it.
