  1. Kind of. I suffer from this & it's kept me out of sports for the last 10 years. That in itself is pretty tough. Pair that with the lost $$$ and I can only imagine the anguish.
  2. Spinal stenosis ended Lee Suggs career too.
  3. Funniest post of the day. That's what I was going for. I was going to start a "bring back Losman" thread but someone beat me to it.
  4. If he's there you really can't go wrong w/ Werner. He'd solidify the front 4 w/ a potential pro-bowler at every position. It also wouldn't upset me to take Chance Warmack or DJ Fluker. I know neither is a position of need, but having a mauler on the right side would help the run game both in short yardage situations and protecting a lead late in the game, both of which have been weaknesses. Then draft Jalston Fowler next year to complement Spiller.
  5. That's great info, but your jab at the end was uncalled for.
  6. I can't answer b/c I'm on the fence. Either will leave us w/ a gaping hole somewhere & players put in less than optimal positions. The only real benefits I see of the 4-3 is not making yet another formation switch, better utilization of KW, and keeps Mario at his natural position. On the flip side, it puts Dareus & all our LBs in positions they are less effective in & doesn't fit our new coach's preferred scheme. It's a tough call.
  7. It's an inside joke on the board.
  8. So it appears we'll be running a 46 D w/ a 3-4 base, which may leave KW w/o a position. I know he played well at NT under G Wilson, & wade's 3-4 uses a smaller NT, but the Jets system utilizes a big bodied NT to clog the middle, & that's not Kyle's game. So what to do... He's not well suited for 3-4 DE & we're pretty good there anyway. He could rotate in on passing downs and 4 down fronts, but using a top player as a part-timer seems wasteful. Does he have trade value? What would you do?
  9. Poor attempt here. Try again, son.
  10. I'd be surprised if Nassib comes off the board before our pick in the 3rd. There are a lot of QBs in the draft who compare favorably with him. I know the trend of the last 2 yrs has been to take QBs early, but if Russell Wilson, Cousins, & Foles can fall to the 3rd & 4th rounds I'm sure this guy, or someone similar will be there in the 3rd.
  11. Let's not put too much stock into one statistic. Yes, it's one of the more useful stats, but it still only tells you part of the story. By this line of reasoning Juice Newton is the greatest.
  12. To be fair that was the year we canned the OC & both starting OTs two weeks before the start of the season & had Trent Edwards under center.
  13. It makes sense that he'd bring in a guy that runs his offense seeing as how he's, you know, an offensive coach. I'm more concerned w/ DC.
  14. High motor = White
  15. He's definitely got flaws that need to be ironed out if he hopes to succeed in the NFL, but the guy's arm is golden.
  16. So, supposing RG3 misses next season, that means Cousins is the guy. If he lights it up that leads to an interesting dilemma. When RG3 comes back do they trade cousins for some high picks? Do you go back to RG3 and hope his knee holds out? Or do you try to shop RG3?
  17. I don't know if you're joking, but I actually wouldn't mind this. The D started coming together down the stretch and it would provide some continuity on that side of the ball.
  18. Pretty fair analysis. Fitz did cost us a couple of winnable games, but he played well in most of them. With a stronger supporting cast and a good (not great) defense we could have pulled off a winning record. Since his salary will go against the cap regardless, and we don't know how misc. rookie replacement will do, it would be a good idea to keep him unless we make a play for Alex Smith. He's not great, but he's better than the last 3 QBs we had.
  19. Oh hell no. If I'm gonna brave that kind of crazy it's got to be for an 8 or better.
  20. What do you think the likelihood of either Te'o, J Jones, or B Werner sliding to 8 are?
  21. Any team that would highly value a 32 yr old running back wouldn't have a high pick. He'd be more valuable to us next year anyway if we expect to make a playoff run.
  22. This really was a bone head move. After the 2nd TD when he knew his QB was injured he could have put Cousins in with a 14 point lead to protect. If they could have mounted any semblance of an offense after that point they would have won the game. Shanahan may know X's and O's but there's a lot lacking to his overally coaching ability.
  23. This guy looks like he has enough talent that he could potentially develop into a solid NFL starter, but it looks like he will take some time. If he's the guy, I suspect Fitz will be the starter next year. If we're going that route I'd rather take a page out of the Barbarian's playbook and draft Tyler Bray to sit for a year. Both are projects and Bray's a much better thrower.
  24. You would think that, moran.
