  1. Could see it. Tampa at 7 is a nice spot. 12 and a 2 and keep 22
  2. Rosen I give a premium. Allen I consider going to 7 which is low costing Rosen goes to Denver
  3. If so I start aggressively going after Rosen at 4. If they go allen, slow play it
  4. If jets take allen we can slow play this
  5. That’s huge. If the jets take allen we are lined up to get a relatively polished qb without giving up 22
  6. The worry is if giants take Darnold.... two qbs off by 3 would be the best case assumption if three go it’s no good.. Getting the leftover of Darnold/Rosen at 5 or 7 would be great.
  7. Man, he’s a heckuva athlete but he is coming off as bricks dumb in this red carpet interview.... if he ends up the guy somehow I’ll hope for the best but it’ll be a worry.
  8. Yup. If you can get 1 kamara-esque year out of him... day two pick and 4m total pay isn’t that scary... if you can get even just 2 of those, it’s an absolute steal.
  9. Call me crazy but if no trade ups... I wouldn’t mind two WRs by end of round 3 12-qb 22– wr/lb 2a—wr/lb 2b— rb 3a— ol 3b — wr/te... or trade for Bryant in Pittsburgh as a rough example of getting qb, 3 playmakers on offense and a project for the line without skipping mlb. we need guys that can make explosive plays on offense.
  10. Flip side is on a 4 year 4m deal... if you get even 1 season out of him it’s good cash value and what’s the success rate of a day two pick? If he’s there late 2 early 3 I would rather take the risk on him potentially falling apart than a project coming together. Just manage expectations accordingly always feel bad for running backs. I know, only so bad for the kid getting multi millions here but jeeeze is it ever tough compared to their peers in the league at other spots.
  11. I hate to say it but as a mid round pick you aren’t looking at a ten year investment, you are beating the kid up for cheap for a couple years.... anything after that is a super bonus. If this allows him to play a rookie contract it wouldnt effect where i take him at all
  12. I suspect you would learn to love hating him quickly
  13. Im not sure you speak for most. I think it’s a stretch to say even most here have watched a lot of his games to fully grasp the scheme he was in.... and this is a tiny sliver of the most obsessive fans.
  14. Its definitely a layered and nuanced discussion that my one liner does little justice for.... all you wrote can be true. Impulse control, delayed gratification etc... are major. Also there are those that are self sabotaging and others that don’t actually want to be football players that said, there are a variety of reasons besides addiction that a kid would potentially blow this chance.
  15. Theres a difference between an addict and simply not caring
  16. The funny thing is, it would 100% happen naturally but no harm in them spearheading it
  17. I recall when VY was so untrusted withgame situations and reads that he couldn’t audible and was not allowed to call timeouts without permission from the sideline I’ll contend that TT has major pre snap issues too and was often untrusted by coaches
  18. I dunno - those two from Cleveland would be mighty appealing, and the points work out: 4+1=5 get Russ on the phone we need to get ahead of this
  19. Yea but for the first time in 20 years we’ve caught up to league trends. Chan and buddy would’ve been talking about the process 3 years from now....
  20. It would seem to be a pretty good mistake by the giants. Youd be giving the guy top 5 money at his position fully guaranteed. At what point do you just get a top vet in free agency or via trade of any lower pick. To pass on a package of 3 firsts would be terrible even if barkley is excellent
  21. Its simple math really
  22. He’s 100% right
  23. So maybe don’t tear down all the buildings the first morning if you can’t start rebuilding them by night? Or some other goofy cliche...
  24. Best case scenario his mom didn’t prep him properly.... and if you read that 3 times and think it’s not worrisome i don’t know what to tell you. worst case is he’s either very low IQ, has a noteworthy learning disability (not insurmountable) or just didn’t care. i know you make up your mind and dig in til the bitter end no matter what comes out.... but this is a major red flag and a team needs to be able to answer why it happened and why it won’t happen in their system before taking him. Some might believe they have it, and others may not care... but any good GM needs to know both answers to pull that trigger. Sorry to call you a bad gm John.
