  1. Taysom just doubled his passing yards on that completion - 4/7 with 6 yards now
  2. That screen was text book on the late decision making. Those red flags will likely continue. he is fun to watch against a struggling team and backed by that defense... but boy would it go south in a shootout. If that’s an attack, pillow fights must be terrifying. saying that he wasn’t asked to do a lot and it was low pressure isn’t an attack. It’s just context.
  3. feel bad for this Hinton kid in Denver. no one expects him to be good but this game is going to chew him up and spit him out and it’s going to be tough to overcome the “who? Oh that guy that got embarrassed at qb?” even if it’s subconsciously.
  4. I’ll take playing kc as late as possible.
  5. you have to think it’ll be a low scoring game with both teams minimizing possessions. To win by 3 scoring possessions (if not more if the gap is fgs instead of tds) would be a lot. Should be a solid win but not sure it’ll be that good without a reliable offense if their own. Will be a lot of milking the clock
  6. it’s tough to dole out historically bad punishments for transgressions like this - especially on first offenses (or when the natural consequence seems to be a loss and being a laughingstock like Denver)
  7. so many times I’ve posted it but... there’s a difference between an outbreak of positive tests and contact protocol. 7 positive tests is way different than 1 guy being around 6 people, as an example.
  8. im guessing some have been following much closer than me... but if one low level coach wasn’t always carrying his tracker (but not egregious enough that protocols had to have caught it) and didn’t report symptoms- I’m still not on the race to forfeit. if he was constantly rolling through the building mask free and many others were and it was obvious and blatant - I get on the forfeit train much quicker
  9. Like 3 weeks? You are pushing the playoffs if you make it up after this week that and it’s not actually that cool to be up til midnight east coast or race out of work to watch west coast. Unless you’ve got a team that really thrives in the spotlight - there’s not much upside as a fan
  10. better than average numbers and they aren’t pretty. makes you wonder if outside truly great talents it’s a bit like comparing rushing yards for full backs on most teams? It’s nice to have one but at this point most teams don’t have a great one.
  11. This is an easy one to extrapolate to our own lives. having a boss that’s a prick sucks unless you are getting fat bonuses, and recognition. Even then it’s not a ton of fun and not everyone’s cut out for that environment. learning how to be a boss from a prick often is not a roadmap to gain success
  12. they probably should’ve just moved it to Monday earlier and flip flopped which week was the steelers long week off... but just because something isn’t happening exactly as planned doesn’t mean anyone’s been screwed. It’s not ideal, sure, but nothing about 2020 is and you either came into this season looking for solutions, or for punishments. sliding a game a few days is hardly bending over backwards. And if you think it is you never actually wanted to see the season happen 😂
  13. they still have Monday/Tuesday so we will see. Nothing wrong with trying to find a solution instead of racing to dole out punishment
  14. how many violations are there in the league where an assistant strength coach can mess up and cause a forfeit? if it’s found that the whole team was lax and the game has to be cancelled, maybe, but when there’s an easy option to move it to Sunday you’d have to be a real curmudgeon to yell forfeit
  15. that’s exactly what is likely to happen if they can show the outbreak is contained. The ravens will play just as short handed as they would’ve Thursday but both teams will have a level of confidence they aren’t lined up with infected people on the field and the ravens will be able to get a couple practices in when the facility reopens
  16. this isn’t about a short handed game. The same people are out Thursday or Sunday the issue is the facility is closed and they need to practice at least a tiny bit before kicking off. the plan is for them to play like 3 days delayed. You know, so the league can figure out risk levels, contain the outbreak, and let them practice a couple times. the issue isn’t the number in protocol it’s the number of actual positives
  17. I get it, but given the last few pages thought it worthwhile to underscore how wide the gap is between this and most of the examples it’s being compared to... there’s no perfect method but we aren’t even in the ballpark of apples to apples with these
  18. Missing 6 through contact tracing after a positive and having 7 positive tests creates very different issues. Teams can’t practice once you hit enough positive tests because facilities are closed. this game isn’t postponed due to the number out, Or a position decimated, it’s postponed to evaluate spread and hopefully let the team practice before playing
  19. There aren’t bye weeks left to juggle for this one. You are advocating for pushing the playoffs back at this point. Which I’m not saying is right or wrong, just need to point out what you are really asking for
  20. there’s a big difference between 7 positive tests in 3 days and a player testing positive with and exposure risk or two around the roster. the nfl is doing the opposite of picking favorites here, where it would get real sketchy if the made calls based on quality of players effected large scale positive testing with risk of full on outbreak- shut down the facility and evaluate scheduling based on reopening schedule a positive test with a few exposed is business as usual how many positive tests did we have and how long was our facility closed?
  21. that’s some high level dysfunction though, to create a situation where you wouldn’t even consider a qb for a qb needy team
  22. to be fair, a few of these young unproven guys probably level out similar to Goff or Wentz in the nfc (if tua even gets there). And tannehill isn’t exactly scary.
  23. can you imagine? Amortization of signing bonuses is like rocket surgery here.
