  1. Billy Joel time.....so no.
  2. I saw the Beach Boys this summer and they were amazing. Too bad Mike Love just threw all the talented dudes out. Again.
  3. Well, sort of. Everyone and their momma bought Nevermind. In Utero was rougher with that great Steve Albini sound to it. The pop fans who wanted the hits werent into the more underground sound. All those bands had the same thing happen to them. They were playing arenas up to the very end and sold a boatload of records, but Nevermind was a cultural landmark. Few bands get more than one of those. Decline is not really the right word. Things just calmed down. It would be like saying Michael Jackson was coasting since Bad sold less than Thriller
  4. So when's the benefit for the poor souls who had to sit through Bon Jovi?
  5. I say this with no hyperbole or fear of contradiction, the single worst thing man has ever done is the music of billy joel. I hate the music of billy joel so much it makes me understand racism. I could fart in a can and it would sound better than that idiot's back catalog
  6. This isnt actually a "reunion" in any way. It's just a jam at a charity concert. Probably just going to be a paul mccartney solo set, but with 3/4 of nirvana as a backup band. Just a one off goof for a good cause. It'll get eyeballs on the show which will raise money for storm victims. And then never happen again. I'm about as rabid a Nirvana fan as there is and think this has about as much relevance as the fake guns n roses and faker Faces sets at the rock and roll HOF induction last year. Personally the real offensive aspect of the show tonight is Billy Joel. Giving that talentless assclown a stage is the real tragedy.
  7. All I know is Public Enemy is better than all the other bands that got in put together. Got to say i don't get the hate for the rock and roll HOF. These aren't official rankings. So a tourist trap in cleveland wants to give Donna Summer an award, who cares? It's an annual arena rock circle jerk. This whole ceremony just means there will be something mildly intetesting on tv one day in the spring.
  8. Its worth seeing on the big screen because, like Jesse James, it's a really beautiful looking film. Plus it's for adults and not in 3d. Worth the support if only for that. HA!
  9. It's pretty great. The director has a very interesting eye (his last film was the beyond excellent Assasination of Jesse James) and the acting is terrific. Just a very well put together film. However it does have a very leisurely pace. Which i like, but i could see frustrating those who are looking for more of an action film.
  10. Just start playing with friends. It's going to be awkward and sound awful for a few months. Power through the frustration. That leap to playing with people will improve your playing tenfold. But yeah, the first few times you jam....it's probably going to be unpleasant. Think it took me 3-4 months before i started to feel even the tiniest bit comfortable. Once you pound out a few covers, and start to get a sense of how a song moves through a group of people, writing your own stuff gets relatively easy.
  11. You are an idiot. Too bad you'll never understand what I'm saying because our society is so messed up and has no morals anymore..... ....because there is nothing more moral than being into habitual animal torture. Idiot.
  12. Real coaches Real QB WR LB
  13. We're complaining about the announcers being fans now? That's a new one.
  14. Honestly this is the one move that would cause me to finally give up on this team. Vick is a lousy quarterback who does not win games and can barely manage to play half the season (aka Fitz would still play 7-9 games a season so what's the point?). Plus you think Fitz's INTs are bad? Just wait until you start seeing Vick's INTs and fumbles. Signing that moron would just be a gimmick to get dummies to buy tickets. If this team wants to become a circus instead of a contender I'm out.
  15. I think it's worth bringing him in. He has been pretty underwhelming the last couple of years, but sometimes that can be chalked up to just being burned out with the mess that is SD. A change of scenery and he may wake back up. of course, with our luck, it'll just be another McNabb situation.
  16. If they even think about maybe considering trading Spiller I'm turning my back on this team.
  17. Have things gotten this stupid here already?
  18. Me too actually. Just got in on Saturday. Already my favorite of the reunion albums. All of side 2, in particular the last 3-4 songs are mindblowing. Went on a record tear recently, bought about 25 LPs in the last week. Highlights are Guided By Voices: the bears for lunch, Tortoise: s/t, The Cure: pornography, Ry Cooder: paris, texas, Pengo: a nervous splendor, Go-Betweens: talluleh. Last cd bought was Nod: O Nod O Moon. Only buy a cd or two a year, usually only by local bands. Not a fan of the format. Mp3: would never occur to me. Why listen to horrible sounding music? Life is way too short for that.
  19. Couldn't say it better myself. Fitz is frustrating, but he gets points on the board. Very few QBs in this league can be counted on consistently putting up 40 points a game, which is kind of what needs to be done to overcome that disasterous D. Not an original thought, but it's true
  20. oh good lord it just won't stop. Think I'm going to start following basketball or something.
  21. Do they have a first rounder this year? Thought Cincy has it for Carson Palmer.
  22. No joke. Fitz is a pain in the ass, but if you can't win at home after scoring 34 points the QB is clearly not the main problem.
  23. I think this is great news. Yeah he's way past his prime and has health issues; however, he brings a much needed spark to the team. He's worth signing just for his personality.
  24. AFC East: 4 way time for last!
  25. Woah. Now just kick it in. Whatever you do Chan, don't think.
