I think it's worse than not helping, he broke Fitz. I was a big Fitz fan, even during his slide last year. But now there is nothing to defend. I have to think a huge chunk of the blame has to lie with Lee. Maybe he is overthinking his motions or whatever, I don't know. All I know is they have to put Lee back under that rock they found him under.

It's worth having a good rig if only for those select albums you want to sit down and listen to, not just hear. Some albums just don't even make any sense on any other format. As a bonus the vast majority of new vinyl now come with a free digital download. Best of both worlds.

You're not wrong. I played my roommate Marvin Gaye's What's Going On two years ago and the dude has not bought a CD since. He has, however, bought well over 100 LPs. And that is a perfectly reasonable reaction. The real drag is artists have to conform to the limitations of the medium. We can't have another Sgt Pepper's or Astral Weeks or Lumpy Gravy or In Search Of Space because there just isn't enough space on digital. MP3 holds about 5% of the sound of a vinyl record. CD is at about 15%. Everything just gets compressed and smashed together. Can barely even hear what's going on. Don't even get me started on the loss of artwork....looking at postage stamp sized pictures of Funkadelic albums in an ipod.....who wants that? We demand bigger and clearer televisions, 1080p Blu Ray versions of Ben Stiller movies...but the loss of 95% of the sound quality of music makes sense? People...you'll always be a mystery. Now get off my lawn.

True that. I love PT (saw The Master over the weekend and was completely mesmerized by it) but I am not crazy about Magnolia. I put most of the blame on Tom Cruise being in that film though. I find his presence to be very off putting. Ever since I was a kid that guy has totally creeped me out. Can't put my finger on it but the dude just makes my skin crawl. I saw The Master in about a half full theater and the audience was very into it. Definitely a far different experience from when I saw There Will Be Blood surrounded by 80 meatballs who simply could not sit still. Maybe the difference is in my seeing The Master in NY and Blood in Stillwater, OK. But I like to think people have picked up on his rhythms and have begun to appreciate him as one of the great filmmakers. But then again I am sure deluding myself. Moral: go see The Master.

exactly! This obsession people have with NE is totally pathetic. Maybe a call or two was missed, but who cares? Refs had nothing to do with them hanging 45 points on us in 24 minutes. Giving any thought to a perceived missed holding call is insane.
