  1. The larger value is in whatever pick Beane can get for Elam. What round pick do you think is worth it to trade Elam for?
  2. Just going to have Elam ride the pine another season though? Given Beane has traded the likes of Sammy Watkins or Ronald Darby away, wouldn’t shock me if he does the same with Elam to at least get some kind of pick in return. Don’t know that the rest of our DB room has much trade value, but we seem to have a pretty deep CB room and I don’t know how much better Elam is versus the rest of the backups.
  3. Ka’iir Elam to Pittsburgh, for Kyle Allen and a pick. For all the injuries we’ve had, thinking the CB room is one where someone solid will need to be released unless there’s a trade. And this helps to bolster our backup QB situation.
  4. Flores or McDaniels? 😇
  5. Having had a couple bad bosses in my career, can totally relate to what Tua had to say. Love the candid nature of his comments.
  6. Or comes up two days ago, lol:
  7. Both! lol…Let’s see some real games before getting too worked up.
  8. Funny, a few weeks ago all of the training camp reviews were about how well the offense was playing and some around here saying we would have the greatest offense ever. A couple meaningless preseason games later where MVP candidate JA has played one quarter, and some are now ready to jump off a bridge. Come on people, pull yourselves together!
  9. The McBeane “culture” in my statement is referring to Beane’s ability to find talent and leaders in an offseason where the roster needed a facelift, and then McD and other coaches’ ability to turn that into results on the field for the team. I’m choosing to stay optimistic, mainly because we have Josh on our team and he seems super focused from what I’ve seen and heard of him in camp.
  10. This season is going to be a real test of the McBeane culture and how good Josh really is. I really think Josh knows this too and has come into the season in the best physical and mental shape of his life, ready to take his game to another level.
  11. Well that’s awkward 🙃
  12. TO is still running under 4.4, give him a call
  13. Right, but the point is it’s not a bad thing to have two starting caliber RBs on the roster. It’s a long season and the likelihood is they’re going to get dinged up along the way. Why trade away one of the two guys now when we’ll likely need the player more this season versus a pick next offseason?
  14. I’m really starting to love this WR room.
  15. Have him and Milano ever been sighted in the same place together? Just sayin’.
  16. Is this the official thread then?
  17. Agreed, the kid might have just had a great game given they’d practiced against the Steelers all week and had a good read on what they’re doing. Will be interesting to see how much he can keep this up.
  18. And still not spelled right 😂
  19. The player actually was on the team over 15 years ago, so was never part of the McBeane era. But this year will be telling as to whether a philosophy of a more balanced offensive attack is better than one that puts more emphasis on the passing game. I’m hoping the former ends up being the better answer, given that seems to be what we’re going to get.
  20. Chrisman is actually a new franchise owner of Pink Zebra moving from what I found: https://local12.com/amp/news/local/former-bengals-player-opens-new-franchise-greater-cincinnati-area-hamilton-ohio-drue-chrisman-punter-kicker-businessman-business-economy-money-pink-zebra-moving-company-commercial-residential-spaces-packing-supplies
  21. The Commanders are considered an NFL team? Also, apparently they’re not happy with Drue for posting this lol https://athlonsports.com/nfl/washington-commanders/punter-drue-chrisman-goes-viral-exposing-commanders-demand-delete-video#
  22. So if we trade Cook and Davis needs to be spelled or get injured, are we good with Ty Johnson or whomever being our starter for a few games or more? I’d prefer two starting level RBs on my team versus one this year, and don’t see the value of trading one of those pieces away for a future draft pick that won’t help this season. If Beane trades Cook and Davis gets hurt the next week, this place would be calling for Beane’s head.
  23. My buddies and I randomly ran into former Buffalo Bills player yesterday, and he said that moving from Dorsey to Brady was the best thing for this team last year. He insisted the running game is way better under Brady, which these statistics support.
